I specifically bypassed 2 Dutch Bros to go to Coffee Time so I can patronize a local business. Boy was I dismayed and disappointed when I got there. I'm sitting in my car and was asked to wear my mask. I'm in my car! The baristas is inside with a mask 6 feet away. I looked at her, I looked forward and came close to leaving. It's a small, simple drive-through but has any pick-me-up I could possibly want on my way to work-- ie sugar-free vanilla soy vanilla latte or a chai latte. The best thing is they are super fast: even when there is like six cars waiting, I feel like I'm out of there for less than a couple of minutes. I am addicted to the iced Vanilla lattes at Coffee Times. Since having tried them a couple of weeks ago, I have to get lattes from them at least three times a week. If Coffee Times were ever to admit that they sprinkle crack into their lattes, I wouldn't be surprised, and it wouldn't keep me from returning. As a previous Yelper mentioned, their lattes have the perfect ratio of espresso to milk. And this happens every. Single. Time. Despite having my lattes made by 3 different people so far. Consistency, consistency, consistency. And super quick too. And I don't have to leave the inner confines of my Honda when I want a latte. Which means I can put my caffeine-fueled energy to use elsewhere, like internet browsing. Or writing Yelp reviews. This place is cheap, too. I try to get different drinks each visit but my usuals are a dirty almond chai latte or caramel macchiato, both of which are some of the best I've ever tried. The espresso is delicious, it has the perfect flavor every time. The food is also really good. The tuna wraps are fresh, and I think only like 3 bucks and change. You can't go wrong! If you are on your daily commute to work, school, or running errands and you need a pick me up, Coffee Times is the place that you want to go. Their high quality of espresso drinks is unmatched by chain drive-thrus like Starbucks. I've had their caramel macchiato multiple times now. The espresso is always very rich and never sour or watery. I love this place a latte! Have tried their white mocha, vanilla latte, and green smoothie thus far. Their prices and convenience are unmatched across town. Their coffee is considerably better than most places in town also. The staff is always friendly, quick, and on point. Always my go to for coffee! Coffee Times was recommended by a friend, and so conveniently located near me. I was tired of the inconsistency of my drinks from Starbucks, and needed a quick drive-thru option. I have seen these guys really busy, and being drive-they only, that area can get crowded. But, wow, they work quick! And I'm always surprised to wait less than expected. I love that my coffee is consistently delicious and, since starting to try other menu items, also love their cocao smoothie, vegan pbj bar, and the pumpkin cheesecake muffins I definitely recommend this coffee shop for your daily needs! read more

I got hooked on this place when I adopted my pup. She used to get up super early and was too young for walks but she loved the car so I'd load her up and drive the 20 minutes to Coffee Times to tire her out. It was perfect because I would get delicious coffee to start my day and she would get a milk bone or two. Clearly the way to my heart is through my dogs stomach! But I also really enjoy their coffee. I love the taste of their espresso... It's not harsh like Starbucks. They also have good smoothies. I like to order their specials when they sound good because they are usually a good price. Such an awesome option to have here in Tucson, where nobody seems to embrace the concept of drive thru coffee. I hit this place regularly on my way to work. I love that their coffee has consistent flavor, which is a concept that a lot of local coffee places around the country have trouble with. Their pastries are great; I order a muffin whenever I go but they are sold out half the time, which attests to how much people love them. The baristas are friendly; it only took about three trips before the girl with the glasses had my drink memorized. Employees are friendly and the service is fast! Which is great for me because that means I never end up late to work, which may not be the case if I wait in line at certain other coffee shops in the area... Last but not least, their prices are very affordable. Hot tip: if you are paying with a credit card, you can still tip the awesome employees. I don't drink coffee, I know my husband likes it, but that's pretty much all I can say on the coffee. They do have delicous ice tea though. It's lemony and tasty. I don't even put any Splenda in it like I do most places. It's also very cheap. This place has a double drive thru so it's always pretty quick. I really love this place. I used to stop in almost every morning when I had to drive by for work, and they memorized my order and always made it to delicious perfection (back then, I got the caramel frappe...yum!) Even after I stopped going because I started a different shift, I went back a few months later...."Hey there...medium caramel frappe?" Now, though, I tend to stick more to plain coffee with cream. (I am enjoying their coffee as a write this). The beans are delicious, and never burnt with a full body, which is a lot more than I could say for Starbucks. This is Jane, the one that's been a loyal, daily customer of your store for three years. The one that has ordered, on average, 3 drinks every day, Monday-Sunday. The one who has a tab that never gets past $10 and that she has always paid promptly, within a couple of days. You lost me as a customer today. On July 28, I drove up and ordered a 24 oz and 12 oz latte. I said I also wanted to pay whatever was on my tab. I said I thought there might be one, but there was not. This morning, I noticed my debit card was charged for TWO 24 oz and a 12 oz, so I decided I'd go get a cup of coffee and ask about the extra charge. One of your owners told me he decided to charge me for the extra drink, even though there was none of the tab, because I said I THOUGHT there might be one. And instead of rectifying it, he basically said it was my tough luck and he was incredibly rude about it. So, fine, I lost the price of a latte, but you've permanently lost my business. You were convenient to me, and I liked that you were a drive-thru, but you're not the only coffee shop around. Hope that four dollars and change was worth it to you. read more

I'd never been to coffee times even though I drove past it every day on my way to work for years. It's awesome. The staff is super friendly, and their pastries are delicious. I used Coffee Times to cater a seminar in my department at UA. They give you large insulated push-top containers for the coffee, which keeps it hot for several hours, along with cups/lids/ regular creamer/non-dairy creamer/sugars/etc. I also ordered two dozen pastries which were a smashing hit for my group. They did a great job stocking me up for a large group, and they let me return the insulated coffee containers at my convenience. There are two windows of this "rectangular" mini drive-thru shop. The main question is which one to choose?!?! Although this is no Starbucks, they do provide a variety of options for you to choose from. Options from breakfast and lunch items to vanilla lattes and americanos can make decisions quite difficult. I gave this place 3 stars because the Vanilla Latte I had was okay. It wasn't the best Latte I've ever had but it is not bad. It isn't something I would crave for again and again; but doable. They didn't give me any sleeve for my "hot" latte so I didn't like it as much as I thought I might have. It's so nice to have a locally owned option for drive thru coffee! The fact that the coffee is delicious, the prices are affordable, and the staff is as sweet as can be is the cherry on top. I tried their white chocolate mocha, as the reviews here seemed to imply that this is one of their best. I had it iced with almond milk. I'm not sure if there was flavoring (e.g. Vanilla) in the almond milk, but the taste was a little too sweet for my liking. I have a feeling that if I had ordered it with regular milk I would have been able to enjoy the white chocolatey goodness a little more. They use Ghiradelli for both their white and dark chocolate drinks, so it's the real deal. A sign in their window indicated that they will not be accepting AMEX cards starting on 6.1.15, so make sure you go with another payment option handy. read more

Coffee shops that have a drive-thru are my favorite, because I can be a lazyass, so it isn't a huge surprise that I like Coffee Times Drive-Thru. Unlike coffee shops that have a drive-thru, this is JUST a drive-thru... Do not head over here with your laptop and expect to sip a latte while you get some work or studying done, this isn't that kind of joint. The selection of coffee drinks was great, I enjoyed my large raspberry white chocolate mocha... It was a little on the pricey side but nothing to excessive. I'd rather pay a little more to support a local business. Service was very friendly, I thought it was adorable that the employees fed the dogs in the car ahead of me treats. If you are just cruising down Speedway and get a caffine craving, it will certainly do the trick, IF they are open, they seem to close a little early for a coffee shop. I used to be suspect of tiny, drive-up coffee places, thinking I'd be sitting in my car choking the planet with CO2 while some princess in a Lexus SUV on her way to a manicure demands her nonfat iced latte with a half-teaspoon of chocolate shavings and a low-carb muffin halved, toasted, and lightly coated with margarine. Coffee Times dispelled this notion. Not only are they super-efficient (even with three cars ahead of me, I've never waited much more than five minutes), but the menu is perfectly simple-yet-sufficient: coffee, a couple of pastries and bars, juices, and sandwiches. It is, hands down, the best place to stop for a coffee fix on your way to work. Coffee Times is also kind enough to coordinate their weekly special with my needs. On three separate occasions, during the most savage fortnights of all-nighters and teeth-gnashing, I have been greeted with their sign promising POWER COFFEE $1.79. Power coffee = regular coffee + espresso. It is my delicious savior. Also, if you're on the go, their grilled basil/mozz/tomato sandwich is awesome. read more

This place is soo dangerous on my wallet and I think it is one of the best kept secrets of Tucson. It's directly on the way to work and I have to fight the urge to stop here for coffee every day. They have seriously good coffee, pretty healthy sandwiches, and about average pastries. I mainly come there for the coffee. Their Venti Iced White Mocha is my favorite. Every day they have some sort of drink special. If you love coffee, you HAVE to go here!
