    Tomato soup and grilled cheese

Such a cute coffee bar in the Palisade village area. We came in the summer on a monday afternoon and it the ambiance was very relaxed and chill. The cashiers were helpful and attentive. My order was the tomato soup and grilled cheese and it was well made and good comfort food.

If you're in Palisades Tahoe and looking for a quality cup of joe, definitely stop by Coffeebar, located in the resort right by the bunny slopes! We stopped by here when we were waiting for our favorite artists to come on for Tahoe Live, and we were pleasantly surprised with their extensive seasonal menu and beautiful views of the slopes. We ordered a special winter spice latte and a rosemary matcha latte, and we really appreciated how the barista took the time to grind and brew the beans through a very expensive espresso machine, hand whisk the matcha, and pour immaculate latte art. The quality of the coffee and matcha was pleasantly very high, and well worth their higher prices of ~$10 per drink (if you get alternative milks like oat). Highly recommend checking out this hidden gem of a coffee shop if you're in the area!

overpriced food/drinks, but I guess it is a ski resort. the food portions were also smaller than usual spots. we got the: - banana bread latte: probably my favorite out of all the drinks and food, but $8+ was steep - rosemary matcha: rosemary was good but too milky and could not taste much matcha - chorizo burrito: the wrap was a bit hard, and it was pretty small for ~$15 - egg sando: not bad but expected more for the price - cinnamon roll: so dry

We came to this coffee spot while we were in town for a reggae festival. It was pretty much the only coffee spot in the village so sometimes the line got a little ridiculous. That being said, it was worth the wait because their coffee and food was good. They had a vegan banana chocolate chip muffin available and some vegan avocado toast that was on really good whole grain bread. It was a little expensive for the size, but it was tasty and a nice way to start the day. I liked it more than the other vegan breakfast options in the area. The inside of the coffee shop was super cute too. I wanted to buy their coffee mugs because they had beautiful art, but I already have too many at home. They also have an outdoor patio area where you can also sit by a fire pit. The location is beautiful.

Pretty good coffee. The mocha could have been more chocolate-y but it will do. I like the atmosphere of the cafe, plenty of seats and sun; they have some sandwiches as well as pastries. The pastries, especially the donut holes look very mouth-watering. Service was curt despite the fact they were not busy at all. Not a big deal. At least it wasn't rude.

Very cute coffee shop at the village of Olympic Valley, I was surprised with the variety of options they had, from teas, to coffee, food and snack options. I wasn't too hungry so I only got chai latte after my full day of skiing and I got to enjoy a beautiful view of the slopes while the sun was setting. Will definitely be back to try their food options.

We tried the avocado toast with poached eggs and Lavender tea latte here. They are both good. They have plenty of indoors and outdoor seats. Will come back if we are in the area.

This coffeebar at Palisades is conveniently located closest to the parking lot as you walk into the shops area. There is plenty of seating indoor and outdoor with a fire-pit and places to sit and enjoy the sun. During a session it is nice to get a boost or a bite because it always comes out fast. I've been here with several co-workers and they've got it dialled in with good service. The last photo is of the latest visit December 2024 thanks coffeebar! See you soon.

Who doesn't love a coffeebar with a great Mountain View and a sunny deck? I have come here for coffees, but the happy hour keeps me post skiing. They have wine and beer for HH everyday. They don't market it so you have to ask. I think their wines are great. Caveat is they sometimes serve wine 7 days old without a proper stopper. I think they should be reconsidered, but their red Chianti does taste great. They have plenty of pastries and cookies to choose from, and they are nearly all delicious. They also have macadamia milk here for lattes. My choice over oat. There are plenty of people who also come to just work.

surprised to find coffeebar at palisades...have one locally near home in redwood city...located at the village at palisades tahoe....some coffee and bites before taking the gondola up...at the counter to order coffee $4.25 and croissant $6...mocha $8 and $1 extra for oatmilk to make it $9....nice to get some quality coffee...a short wait and drinks and food ready...great place for non-skiers to hang out...some outlets along the walls to charge laptops or phones...2 restrooms (single person use) next door...good coffee drinks and flakey croissants...can get crowded with laptop campers or other non-skiers, but it's warm and great place to hang...

tldr; high prices, but excellent breakfast and ambiance. Service can be a little slow. Palisades (for those on the Ikon Pass) is a popular and well known destination for skiers and snowboarders, and I regularly frequent the resort in winter. On powder days, you want to get here early - which usually means skipping breakfast. This is where Coffeebar comes in. They regularly open at 7am during peak season. Don't expect anything cheap - it's ski resort prices after all - but it's an excellent place to chill and look out the window during a snowstorm. Located just behind the entrance to the village at palisades Tahoe (a hotel), they don't have any toilet facilities - most of these are outside - one located as you exit to the right, but my preferred one is to walk around to the left and use the ones in the hotel itself. They have an excellent selection of coffee - all carefully crafted and they often have seasonal favorites. I enjoy their chai creations in the morning. They also have some good pastries if you're looking for a quick bite. My personal preference for a powder day breakfast is either the grilled cheese sandwich (vegan, but you can optionally add chicken / bacon for $3) or if I'm feeling hungrier they do have a keto bowl that is excellent - it comes with avocado, sausage, bacon, sunflower seeds - an absolute taste bonanza. The only caveat is that they are often understaffed in the morning so you'll have to wait a bit to get your food, but if you're a true powderhound you'll have plenty of time in the morning to grab a bite. Just make sure to get in line at the ski lifts least an hour before they open!

We were super excited that the game was playing both at the bar and on a huge screen on the wall. First we were at the bar ... the server was amazing, the food and drinks were excellent. We soon realized that there was a group of mostly ladies, also from the same country, watching the game on the big screen behind us. They were very excited and boisterous and invited us to join them. The game was a nailbiter so the group was loud at the exciting parts. I remind you, the game playing was on a huge screen, clearly a sports atmosphere. The girls were not drunk or out of control. The manager (?) came storming out of the kitchen and told the ladies to quiet down, that "someone at the bar" had complained that they were too loud. Keep in mind - we had just been at the bar, everyone was watching, no one was "complaining" about them. The manager was rude and took all the joy and excitement out of the space. Just curious ... when you play football games on that big screen/wall, do you tell men to "keep it down?" Do you tell groups of male sports fans that people are complaining about them? Of course not ... can you imagine? So, five stars on food, drink and atmosphere, but taking two stars off for the sexism. Go enjoy the vibe and especially the patio, but don't go if you are a woman who might get too excited about a game.

The food and drinks were reasonably priced, the atmosphere was fun, and the staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed happy to be there. Now it's a completely different experience. The prices are outrageous, $26 for a small plate of nachos that tasted like they were made with canned chicken. The drink prices are just as excessive. I understand costs have gone up, but the value simply isn't there anymore. The service has also taken a huge step backward. Most of the staff seemed more interested in socializing with each other than helping customers. It felt like asking for anything was an inconvenience. The bartender outside was the one bright spot, friendly and professional, but one good employee can't make up for the overall experience. It feels like River Ranch is trying to cater exclusively to affluent tourists, but even visitors expecting to spend money deserve good food, attentive service, and a worthwhile experience. The only thing that keeps me coming back occasionally is the live local music. I used to enjoy making River Ranch a stop while riding my bike, but now I'd rather continue to Tahoe City and spend my money somewhere like Bridgetender instead. At this point, River Ranch feels more like a rafting drop point than a restaurant worth visiting.Safe your money on a better deserved restaurant! Obviously this falls on the management of the place.
