I had the pleasure of meeting and having a massage with Mr. Cohen last night. We talked a bit to get to know each other. Besides being a massage therapist he is a musician and composer. He said he wanted to devote more time to his art. Well, as a professional dancer I have recieved pro massages around the world. Umassage13 is truly pro massage therapist and his art is massage. He has a universe of modalities, but he does not go through the motions as many professionals. His concentration and intuitiveness is so appreciated. He listens to your comments and he feels the different tensions and problem areas through his touch. When I want to sleep I have to take one pill to shut off my brain and one to shut off my body. After our session I did not take a pill and I sleep all through the night. Umasseur13 is amazing. Besides giving me one of the best massages his personality and professional techniques gave me a great night's sleep and I feel wonderful today. I look forward to our next session. My employer hired Marcos Cohen from #CohenSpa to everyone who signed up a free 20 minute massage. I've never had one before, so I decided to pass. The office manager Jamie made her rounds to people who hadn't signed up to a massage, and I decided why not get a massage. I ended up getting up a 40 minute massage because of an open slot which was exactly after my would have been 20 minutes were over. My experience was the BEAUTIFUL. Marcos, was very gentle, professional, and kind. I love the smell of the oils, the background music, the soft and firmness of the massage chair which made my experience very pleasant. On a recent trip to LA I had the pleasure of a massage from Mr Cohen. His healing and thoughtful touch was just what I needed. While also in LA I went to another spa and was disappointed by the robotic and disconnected massage. My idea of a good massage is a human touch, someone who listens to what I say and how I breath. I'm pretty new at having a professional massage so please take this as a review from someone who is not an experienced massage client, and who was actually somewhat hesitant about getting a massage. I wasn't sure what type of massage I wanted and so thankfully, the first thing Marcos asked was if I wanted a light or heavy message. He said he's very strong --and I'm sure he could give a rather heavy massage if I wanted that. But I told him I wanted a light message. And that's what he was able to provide! He knew what to do without being too intense. He worked on my head, neck, back, arms, wrists, hands, and torso. Whenever he sensed a muscle -- like my arm or shoulder muscle -- was tensing up he mentioned that I needed to relax that muscle. That was very helpful since I didn't even know I was tensing up. During part of the massage it was so relaxing that I may have come close to falling asleep. I imagine Marcos knows how to give good massages to people who are experienced at getting serious massages. However, I can personally say he's also great at giving a gentle, light and calming massage for someone like me who is new to getting a professional massage, and/or who wants a light but relaxing massage! I bought a 30 minute deep tissue massage off of groupon. I was able to set up an appointment the next day. I got a great massage and Marcos was very kind and professional, an extreme value for what I paid. I left feeling like a new woman. The only thing that should be mentioned is that you when you get there the massage takes place in the front area of a residence, it's not a business location. As a woman, at first I was slightly apprehensive about the location situation because I was unprepared, but he had gotten such good yelp reviews I decided to stick around and try it out. I'm glad I did but I felt I would have been a little better mentally prepared had I known this off of the bat. read more

As a hairstylist I have issues with my back and neck and it is hard to find someone who knows just how to massage correctly to provide relief. Excellent combination deep tissue massage!!! I have Chronic lower back pain and have been looking for a great independent masseuse-found it with Marcos!
