I had the best experience from start to finish. I was just window shopping for frames. They have a LOT to choose from. Romario Brown greeted me and noticed the style and color frames I was looking at. He got me right in to take my eye exam. Now I did order special lenses and was waiting on my frames also. I went to cohen because of a grand opening flyer I received... I have a very difficult prescription and was overdue for an exam... From the minute I called to the minute I walked out the door with two new pairs of glasses was nothing short of a fantastic interaction... Despite a neighbor telling me she had a bad experience in the past after I started the process of new glasses with Cohen, I told her something must have changed , and I now know they they are under new management which has obviously changed the whole experience at this store... It's been 2 years since I went to Cohen's for my exam and was pleasantly surprised of the changes the store has gone through. Not only has the technology changed with the times but the customer service is where they excelled far greater. I am a leader in sales and found Dennis took great care in not over promising the delivery of my lenses and I was pleasantly surprised how fast they arrived. Romario greeted me when I came to pick them up with a smile and enthusiasm as well as Brandon who brought my new frames out. My aunt who is close to 90 years old and can barely see told me that she's been waiting for over 2 months. She didn't check Yelp cause she was at the mall and decided to go with this place. She even went back to check on her eyeglasses because they were not responsive to her calls. She told them she was also going to be out of town for the holidays and still no glasses. She told me what happened and I am calling this place for her. I was on hold for a long time and they came back saying the technician would need to call me back. I cannot believe they are still in business after all the negative reviews. STAY AWAY Everything you are reading in these reviews are true! I recently visited the area and lost my glasses. I had used cohens 3-4 years ago and was satisfied with the service. I went to get an exam and new glasses and was told 2-3 weeks which worked with our schedule. After 4weeks I went back and said we were leaving the area and needed to cancel my order. The profusely apologised with a lot of excuses and agreed to put in a rush order to meet our schedule. 5 days later when I went to pick them up I was told they weren't ready with the same excuses and was told they could make them a rush order. Again. When I told them that I already fell for that lie and wanted to cancel my order they said I would have to wait for a supervisor to come back in to approve. Just have a set again. I had been waiting 45 minutes to be seen by then and told them I would cancel through my credit card company. Do not go to Cohens optical for contacts. Ordered and payed for contacts July 28, 2023 and still no contacts on Jan 17,2024. Asked for a refund after waiting patiently 5 1/2 months. Had to wait over 30 mins to get a refund. I had to wait for the contact person to show up. was told I had to have a manager to give me a refund initially. I will go online to order my contacts at 1-800 contacts. I ordered them and they were mailed same day and I had them delivered to me and I got them in 4 days. read more

I regret coming here. Not only did they break my glasses (which I wrote about in another review), they also gave a prescription for contacts that has been troublesome to fill. At other places I've had no trouble, I just get contacts. Here they give some obscure contact brand that they are promoting, which is ridiculously expensive. The young fellow in the back told me I needed to see the manager for an adjustment. So I waited patiently. When he finished with two people and it was my turn he told me to sign in. Ok, yesterday I drove a distance to talk to the mgr Bryan, since no one would return my call. He told me it would be ready by 5p. I knew after 5 weeks of waiting that was too easy. Today I called to check on them. After 30 minutes of waiting for their call, I called again and fussed with a sweet girl that said she'd call me. I have been coming here yearly for the past 10 years and absolutely love Dr. Durante and now, Dr. Durante Jr. There have been times we have to wait for a bit but We're usually in and out within an hour 1/2 for 2 of us to go thru the whole process. If you understand that Dr Durante is ALWAYS there - it helps you be alittle more patient and appreciative of his experience and expertise. His equip is top notch state of the art so you get the best tests and results around. Way better then the mom and pop places that cost so much more. Great place! read more
