Take a walk back in time at Coin Depot. This charming little shop in La Verne is like a stroll back in time. I stopped here to browse a little as I was waiting to meet a friend. Besides a wall and showcases full of coins of all types, they have a selection of antique items. From crystal sugar and creamers to gilded wall mirrors to nostalgic kitchen items and decorations. It's really fun to look around and the prices are reasonable. I was pleasantly surprised! It was not like a fancy smancy antique store - you feel like you are among friends. I found some treasures and I look forward to come back and find some more. 83/100 Yelp 100 Challenge 2017 #yelpelite

This is one of my favorite places to window shop & buy. Tons of historical items. An excellent place for time travelers.

Ask the Community - Coin Depot

Hello, I recently got inherited some old coins from grandparents, uncles, etc. (dollar coins & $0.50 coins). Not sure if they are really worth anything than the value of the coin itself, but how does the process work?

You can ask Google or check eBay for a same coin see what others are asking you can also buy a coin book or you can go into a local coin store Good luck

At first, I thought I was imagining it, so I deliberately walked to a different area to see if they would continue. They did. They tried to cover it up by constantly asking if we needed help. Within about five minutes, my friend and I were asked three separate times if we needed assistance. They also kept pretending to straighten merchandise and put items back on shelves right next to me while watching us. It was obvious what they were doing. My friend and I got so irritated that we just left without buying anything. It was clear we weren't welcome there. It's sad because I used to come here all the time in high school and throughout my 20s. I don't know what happened to this place, but they clearly racially profile their customers. You would think a store that sells so many products promoting inclusion and progressive values, especially in such a liberal city, would hold itself to the same standard. This is covert racism, and I will never be coming back to this establishment. Do better.

There is parking in the front of store, but it usually gets taken rather quickly especially between 2 PM to 4 PM on weekdays. You can also park in the back, near the area where donations are dropped off. I usually come on Tuesdays, where discounts usually don't apply to me. I like Wednesday's where there are student/teacher discounts. To my luck, I went on a spin the wheel day today! You get to spin the wheel after your purchase for an opportunity to win items or get a discount. I like browsing their toys, vintage items, and office supplies. I usually get very good second hand items such as staplers, hole punchers, DVDs, shoes, and board games. This location is actually my favorite place to shop for vintage film cameras (I'm afraid to post this because my fellow Yelp friends will be coming more to grab them before I do!). Today, I bought a good pocket minolta film camera, some stuffed animals, and some office supplies. The cashiers are sweethearts and are willing to help you look at items! They also have an extensive amount of used clothes and furniture. It's definitely my favorite thrift store and will continue to be so.

They gladly accepted our bags that were full of books, toys, shoes, few shirts of mine and few pants of his, few old CDs, and DVDs . By the look of the store, it was nice, big and clean. We didn't purchase anything from here, but there is always a next time. Each item according to section and selection varies. Prices were not that expensive. They looked new and clean, not raggedy and old. Don't know much about parking, since we parked on the street, walked in and out. Everything took less than 20 minutes. There was a small line, but their friendly & helpful employees cleared the line so fast. Will definitely be back if we need to donate more things to this Thrift/Consignment store. It was very well organized. They have vintage items, good selection of jewelry, purses, shoes, scarfs, hats, clothing, belts, and other types of accessories. Give this store a try, and I am pretty sure you will like the variety of stuff that they have. The quality/quantity and their fair prices. Thank you all very much!:-) 1st time, but not the last.
