Really pleased with my experience here a couple of weeks ago. I feel it was a good value for the price. The entrance sneaks up on you and is kinda set back from Duarte Rd. so be watching for it! If you get to Nano Cafe, you went too far. Like some others have said, the area is a little sketch, but I was alone and there during the day and felt relatively safe. Seemed ok at that time, but not sure I'd go alone at night. I came around 1pm and was able to go right into a cleaning bay, no waiting. The vacuum cleaners are positioned before the car wash bay instead of in the back, so I really liked that bc I always vacuum before I wash the outside. The vacuum had ample tubing and reached all areas of my car. For the $1 it gave me plenty of time to do one whole side of my car (not sure the exact amount of time, but it was good value imo). I added a couple more quarters and was able to finish the whole interior, so it's ample time. I spent the $5 up front for the 13 minutes and it was the exact perfect amount of time to do my whole Mazda! I used the tire cleaner and brush, used the soap wand and then the soap brush for the whole car, rinsed, did the coat protectant and then the spot free rinse and finished just as the time expired. It was the perfect amount. Everything cleaned nicely as well! The wands and brushes have plenty of slack in their tubing and pretty much rotate entirely so you can walk around your whole car. The spot free rinse worked well too...there were a small few spots of water dried on, but hardly noticeable. They also have floor mat hangers too. Will definitely be back! read more

I almost died... Ok, not really but I slipped on the water return grate that goes across and I almost fell. $3 for 4 minutes is the going price. Pro tip leave 2$ in your pocket in case you need more time. My strategy for washing the car with the most optimal coverage. Set it to soap, walk fast around the car you want make 2 laps for really even coverage. Then switch to high pressure rinse, zig zag spray while going from top to bottom going around the car just 1 lap. Switch over to spot free rinse At this point you probably have 1 min 30 seconds. Same as the last step but you keep going until you run out of time. The most effective for $3. Make sure you bring your own towels, I suggest a minimum of 3 microfiber clothes. read more

Awesome car wash that's convenient and affordable. Ever since I got a new car I stopped using the drive through car washes and stumbled upon this coin op car wash. It has vacuums, trash cans, soap and brushes. The place can get busy but otherwise there's no complaints about it. read more

This used to be my go to coin-op car wash but not anymore. The price used to be $5 for 13 minutes but now its $6 for 11 MINUTES. I needed the 13 minutes to wash my car.... Extremely rude! Asked if I could use if could use a station with a cone in front (politely I might add) in hopes that maybe it was forgotten but was met with a smart a remark from a tall skinny skinny male saying "don't you see the cone" I replied well you could have said no and then he proceeded to brush me off. This self car wash is great. I like the spot free rinse. Plenty of space to park and wipe your car.

On one of the vacuum, when I put in the quarters it comes right out. Which is not a problem, but it's impossible to get it out of the slot unless you have a tweezer on you. Usually the quarters will roll out but this time it didn't. You can get your 50 cents back by snail mail but I decided to call it a loss. Never going here again read more

This is a good do-it-yourself car wash along Duarte Road in Monrovia... Not too far from the intersection of Magnolia & Duarte. There are 4 stalls and the vacuum stations are in front of the washing stalls. Usually, the vacuums are in the back but not here. I like the value at this car wash because they have 13 minutes for $5. This gave me enough time to high pressure soap, high pressure rinse and low pressure spot free rinse my car. I wish they had a pre-wash soap/soak feature at this car wash like they do at others that I go to but they dont. 13 minutes was just right for me. I did not use the wheel cleaner or the brush for the body of the car so I cant attest to the effectiveness of either. I went after lunch time during the week and I did not have to wait. Drove right in and began washing my car. So that was very convenient for me. The spot free rinse did not leave my car totally spot free so that's why I can't give this place a full 5 stars. I'm pretty OCD about my car and have used different car washes over the many years of owning it, so I have a good idea what works for me. This car wash is a good one nonetheless. I imagine it can get quite busy on the weekends. There isnt much waiting room up front but plenty of room towards the back. It's almost a reverse layout of most self car wash places I have been to. read more

There's something very therapeutic to me about washing your car and Coin-Op is so easy and affordable for me to do it myself on a weekly/monthly basis depending on my schedule. It's 24 hours so I've come at odd hours of the night to wash my car, keep in mind it's not the safest of neighborhoods as there is a liquor store across the street. You pay $5 for 13 minutes and you get an arm workout woot woot! My routine is to first, soap it down with the sprayer and then use the soap brush to clean the dust and dirt. Then the pressure wash to rinse and wax it and rinse again. The wax smells really good too. They use special spot-free water here so you don't have to dry off the car with towels after it's done washing - you can just drive off and let the wind air dry your car and it's never left water spots for me. It's also $1 to vacuum your own car which is a great way to clear out all the receipts, water bottles and miscellaneous trash that accumulates throughout the week. read more

i don't understand why anyone gives this place a bad review, it's exactly as advertised. it's affordable and everything works. bring singles if you're fast and want the cheapest wash. there are only four bays so try for a weekday. the wax and spotless rinse at the end work as advertised. at home i use the two bucket method if the first wash doesn't remove stubborn dirt. i love washing my car myself - power sprayers are awesome. the owners of this place deserve our thanks!! read more

All the brushes were out of soap. Tire cleaner was out of soap. Called the number on yelp because there are no posted numbers at the car wash. No answers. If you want to spend $6 for a pressure hose with water then this is your place. I informed all the cars behind me that the soap was out in all the bays too. read more

Tried this do it yourself car wash today and honestly, do yourself a favor and skip it. Pay for a real wash. It is easy to use and cheap that's about all I can say. The water left hard water spots all over my car. It took an hour just to go around and clean and wash the spots off and there's still some there. You go to make your car clean and it ends up potentially getting damaged with hard water spots. That's not good. Luckily I caught them in time. I was excited to wash my new car myself for it's first wash but in the end I'm exhausted and my car is not much better off than it was before. I'll be paying for a professional wash tomorrow. Plus just going and getting cash to use and buying towels to dry the car, that alone is worth skipping and just going to a reputable car wash center. read more

I'm not sure if self operated car washes are better than the $5 machine washes. But if you're paranoid about scratches from machine washes like me, coin ops are probably the way to go. If you don't have a driveway to wash your car yourself, this is pretty much the next best thing for a cheap wash. I always go for $5 for 13 minutes. That should give you some breathing room to give your car a thorough wash. Otherwise, it's $3 for every 6 minutes. Start with a quick water rinse, then spray on the soap, then the foam brush to scrub your car, and finish with the water rinse again. I don't use the tire spray or wax spray because I don't see much benefit in them and it will take you longer than 13 minutes if you used those options. Bring some towels to dry off your car in the parking spaces in the back. It wasn't bad for $5. read more

I put my $5 in for the wash and wrote a note for a refund but I didn't leave. I only wash my car here and it's always nice. I was waiting to pay another $5 but while I was there an employee came, serviced the non working machine and started my wash free for the last monies it took. He was very polite and understanding. But then a week later I got $5 in the mail and a thank you for your business note. It was my go to car wash place but I tried getting quarters one day and the owner said I'm the reason why he has to go to the bank to refill the quarters and he's going to switch to a token system because of people like me. This is by far my favourite spot to wash my car. 5 bucks gets you 13 mins which is plenty to detail wash your car. I ain't no beginner to washing my cars but this is great for someone who doesn't know how. The options to wash are in order to from cleaning the tires to spotless rinse. The thing I like about here is that everything works. The brush shoots out plenty of soap, the pressure hose is really strong so it removes all the dirt, and the tire degreaser works great. The only thing that would be nice for them to add is some shade in the parking to dry the car before it gets wet spots because of the sun drying the water. read more

Literally come here 3 times a week to wash work vehicles. Usually spending $10-20 per visit. This last time, one bay wasn't on (no sign or anything). After washing the first car, I was about to start the second car (I have an assistant drive the other cars and help) when another customer began harassing me about "taking too long." The customer began screaming at me, calling me names and threatening me. The attendant who worked there literally stood there amd watched before going back to digging through the trash for recyclables (he must not get paid enough by you guys if he has to dig through the trash for cans). I paid for my time to be there and did not appreciate being harassed by a man (I'm a small woman) while the attendant there did nothing. Perhaps if bay 2 was on, a line would not have formed and perhaps this harassment would not have happened. I love this car wash! $5 for 13 minutes is always more than enough for my car. However the first stall on the left side only have me 9 minutes for $5? So I guess don't use that one lol. They also have a setting on the water called spot free rinse which works great! I just spray it all over my car after washing it normally and drive off, it's not perfect but it definitelyworks better than not using it. I don't have to dry it by hand which is great. The soap brush gives of a lot of soap which is great. Overall I love this car wash! Would've been 5 stars if the machine have me my 13 minutes not 9 lol read more

Every time I'm done vacuuming my car the guy that maintains the place decides to start work on the carwash stall in front of me. Not sure why he can't put up a sign to let people know before they line up. I don't appreciate having to wait 5 minutes while he hoses off the stall.
