My food, the prime rib dinner, was delicious as was one of the other guests, the vegetarian burrito, asked for as an off the menu item. The other 2 guests weren't as happy with there 2 different fish dinners. The food was slow to come, but hot when it got there and the waiter was right on with service. This place is very welcoming. The chef knows what he's doing and the food reflects this. If you want big city presentations in a smaller intimate setting this is the place. (Think Duchess Potatoes around broiled Whitefish on a plank). The staff as well as owner are friendly and very accommodating. They even went out of their way to fix my favorite drink. Nothing fancy, but definitely tasty. A tad overpriced for the amount you get. However these ribs were meaty, flavorful, and moist. The meat came off the bone beautifully. There wasn't "too little" sauce either. The coleslaw wasn't anything wow at (kind of bland). Fries come standard. Called in for takeout and the staff person was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. An early midweek takeout order, ready in less than 15 minutes. The key lime pie was so good. The crust was different (like a buttery graham cracker-breadcrumb type crust) and the key lime cut the sugar of the crust. Nice creamy, gently-lime flavored. Doesn't look like much from the outside but this is the best food I've eaten in a while! The chef appears to be professionally trained and he even walked out to the table to see how we liked our food. The waiter recommended the chicken Cajun pasta with shrimp and the perch dinner. I came here on a Monday for lunch, the waiter was very friendly and the food was good. I ordered the french onion soup which was pretty good. The price is a bit high (for one BLT, french onion soup, and key lime cheesecake slice it cost $40). The outdoor patio was very nice and shaded. Overall, the restaurant was nice, just a bit overpriced, especially for the fact that I only got water to drink. read more

Absolutely amazing experience. We tried a few other restaurants to close out our vacation and they were either 1+ hour waits or closed. Cold Creek got us seated immediately. We were there with our 10mo and 7yo kids, and the staff were amazing. Constantly stopping by to chat, and even coming out to juggle and entertain when they saw our baby getting a little antsy. Food was SPECTACULAR. My wife enjoyed a delicious half-rack of ribs and I ordered an enormous vegetarian burrito (it's not easy to find good vegetarian options in this town) but this burrito was stuffed full of carrots, broccoli, rice and more. Best burrito I've had in 3+ years of being vegetarian and it's not close. 10/10 would recommend! read more

This is the 2nd time we've eaten here on our 2nd trip to Beulah. The sweet potatoes fries were delicious with this spicy and sweet boom sauce. I ordered the pizza, thin crust (they can make thick too since they make their own dough) with pepperoni and mushroom. It was pretty good and even better cold (had leftovers). My husband got the French dip sandwich. It was more of a steak sandwich than sliced beef. We sat in the bar area, and the service was good. We stayed in Beulah while visiting Sleeping Bear Dunes and stumbled upon this place as a late night dinner option. The website and menu looked alright but the food told a very different story. I ordered a burger & fries and my wife ordered the prime rib. Both were inedible. The steak was grey and tasted fowl. The burger also tasted funky. Avoid at all costs. read more

It was closing time...randomly and unknownly I met the owners. They seemed friendly, open and proud of their restaurant. Jokingly but on a serious note after conversation they allowed me to inspect their kitchen. Admittedly a little buzzed but an experienced bartender and food setvice guru in a past life i can attest to the fact that these guys are in it for the right reasons. I literally got on my hands and knees and looked under their kitchen equipment and studied what they had going on behind the bar. 5 star! These guys give a shit. Beware of the billing. If you ask for a better side for an upcharge, they will charge you FULL price for the item, without warning. Grilled cheese with tomato was $15 (!) and we asked to upcharge the side to sweet potato fries. $8.99 for sweet potato fries. My perch sandwich was $17.99 with no side. I asked for a house salad for an upcharge, and it was an extra $6.99. Will not be back. We've been eating there for years. $79 for lunch. Ridiculous. read more

Cold Creek Inn Restaurant had decent food. I had the pulled pork nachos--no complaints there. The s/o had the perch dinner with twice or triple(?) baked potatoes. Now those were phenomenal. He also said the fish was good, too. The host was not wearing his mask over his nose, and he seemed frustrated that we preferred to wait to eat outside when the inside was empty, which I get, but it's a pandemic and we only feel comfortable eating outside. The table was wiped down, but we were given regular menus in the normal plastic sleeves. And the table behind me was in no way, shape, or form six feet from me. It was two at most. I could've turned around and touched the person's shoulder behind me. I'd like to see better precautions taken. All-in-all, not too bad for a small town dinner. read more

We chose outdoor seating at the Cold Creek Inn restaurant because it looked inviting and had umbrellas to shade us from the evening sun. Service was quick through delivery of our meal. We were puzzled by all the sour cream and cheese in the whitefish pate, but it seems that is common in this part of Michigan. I had a delicious (local) lamb burger, which is worth returning for. My husband loves chicken strips but usually can't eat them because a lot of places use the same fryer for Fish and chicken (allergic to fish) they don't ! He said they were crispy and juicy. We had an excellent time here with our 16 month old while we were visiting for the Empire Hill Climb. Our server Jake was so pleasant, knowledgeable of the beers, and so proud to tell us he and his wife are expecting. My husband had the prime rib sandwich and it was incredible, so well seasoned and perfect temperature. I had the perch and it was also excellent. Lightly breaded and fried, really delightful. They made a grilled cheese and French fries for my antsy boy in about two minutes. We also took home some excellent homemade cheesecake. A lady I believe who is management came over and spoke to our son, it was very sweet. Excellent food, service, atmosphere, beer selection, it was a great experience. Had a great early dinner / late lunch here. The ambiance is somewhere between a sports bar and a ski lodge. My husband got the "award winning fried perch" (fish and chips) and liked it.
