I would give 10 stars if allowed! Service, food excellent. This is a fabulous place to eat. Fast service. Attentive, just very nice people. We had the prime rib sandwich and perch dinners. Visiting from Chicago & found the perfect place for wonderful, homemade food in Beulah! We started with the steak bites & for our main course I had the perch (loved the duchess potatoes) and my husband had the lasagna. Fair prices, great service & delicious hot, fresh food. My food, the prime rib dinner, was delicious as was one of the other guests, the vegetarian burrito, asked for as an off the menu item. The other 2 guests weren't as happy with there 2 different fish dinners. The food was slow to come, but hot when it got there and the waiter was right on with service. We were towards the end of the rush, so I understood the wait time. I would eat there again. read more

This place is very welcoming. The chef knows what he's doing and the food reflects this. If you want big city presentations in a smaller intimate setting this is the place. (Think Duchess Potatoes around broiled Whitefish on a plank). The staff as well as owner are friendly and very accommodating. They even went out of their way to fix my favorite drink. When I received my drink a guest asked what it was and said she hadn't seen that "Grasshopper" drink in years. And it was delicious. read more

There wasn't "too little" sauce either. The coleslaw wasn't anything wow at (kind of bland). Fries come standard. Called in for takeout and the staff person was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. An early midweek takeout order, ready in less than 15 minutes. The key lime pie was so good. The crust was different (like a buttery graham cracker-breadcrumb type crust) and the key lime cut the sugar of the crust. Nice creamy, gently-lime flavored. Doesn't look like much from the outside but this is the best food I've eaten in a while! The chef appears to be professionally trained and he even walked out to the table to see how we liked our food. The waiter recommended the chicken Cajun pasta with shrimp and the perch dinner. I came here on a Monday for lunch, the waiter was very friendly and the food was good. I ordered the french onion soup which was pretty good. The price is a bit high (for one BLT, french onion soup, and key lime cheesecake slice it cost $40). The outdoor patio was very nice and shaded. Overall, the restaurant was nice, just a bit overpriced, especially for the fact that I only got water to drink. read more

This is the 2nd time we've eaten here on our 2nd trip to Beulah. The sweet potatoes fries were delicious with this spicy and sweet boom sauce. I ordered the pizza, thin crust (they can make thick too since they make their own dough) with pepperoni and mushroom. It was pretty good and even better cold (had leftovers). My husband got the French dip sandwich. It was more of a steak sandwich than sliced beef. We sat in the bar area, and the service was good. If I could give it 3.5 stars, I would...and maybe we'd try the dining area if we dined again on another visit. We would definitely order pizza again. read more

Absolutely amazing experience. We tried a few other restaurants to close out our vacation and they were either 1+ hour waits or closed. Cold Creek got us seated immediately. We were there with our 10mo and 7yo kids, and the staff were amazing. Constantly stopping by to chat, and even coming out to juggle and entertain when they saw our baby getting a little antsy. Food was SPECTACULAR. My wife enjoyed a delicious half-rack of ribs and I ordered an enormous vegetarian burrito (it's not easy to find good vegetarian options in this town) but this burrito was stuffed full of carrots, broccoli, rice and more. Best burrito I've had in 3+ years of being vegetarian and it's not close. 10/10 would recommend! read more

We stayed in Beulah while visiting Sleeping Bear Dunes and stumbled upon this place as a late night dinner option. The website and menu looked alright but the food told a very different story. I ordered a burger & fries and my wife ordered the prime rib. Both were inedible. The steak was grey and tasted fowl. The burger also tasted funky. Avoid at all costs. read more

It was closing time...randomly and unknownly I met the owners. They seemed friendly, open and proud of their restaurant. Jokingly but on a serious note after conversation they allowed me to inspect their kitchen. Admittedly a little buzzed but an experienced bartender and food setvice guru in a past life i can attest to the fact that these guys are in it for the right reasons. I literally got on my hands and knees and looked under their kitchen equipment and studied what they had going on behind the bar. 5 star! These guys give a shit. My family has owned property locally for over 100 years (allegedly lol) and after extreme consideration pronounce, from this day forward...until further notice the Cold Creek be known as the locals choice for quality, clean food. Beware of the billing. If you ask for a better side for an upcharge, they will charge you FULL price for the item, without warning. Grilled cheese with tomato was $15 (!) and we asked to upcharge the side to sweet potato fries. $8.99 for sweet potato fries. My perch sandwich was $17.99 with no side. I asked for a house salad for an upcharge, and it was an extra $6.99. Will not be back. We've been eating there for years. $79 for lunch. Ridiculous. read more

Cold Creek Inn Restaurant had decent food. I had the pulled pork nachos--no complaints there. The s/o had the perch dinner with twice or triple(?) baked potatoes. Now those were phenomenal. He also said the fish was good, too. The host was not wearing his mask over his nose, and he seemed frustrated that we preferred to wait to eat outside when the inside was empty, which I get, but it's a pandemic and we only feel comfortable eating outside. The table was wiped down, but we were given regular menus in the normal plastic sleeves. And the table behind me was in no way, shape, or form six feet from me. It was two at most. I could've turned around and touched the person's shoulder behind me. I'd like to see better precautions taken. All-in-all, not too bad for a small town dinner. read more

Many of the restaurants on Benzie Blvd offer the same fare, so it becomes a matter of seating and environment. We chose outdoor seating at the Cold Creek Inn restaurant because it looked inviting and had umbrellas to shade us from the evening sun. Service was quick through delivery of our meal. We were puzzled by all the sour cream and cheese in the whitefish pate, but it seems that is common in this part of Michigan. I had a delicious (local) lamb burger, which is worth returning for. Companion had hamburger which was okay, and onion rings which were too heavy and greasy for our liking. Server was friendly and helpful. read more

Went there for dinner on Monday , I highly recommend this place ! I had the perch dinner with duchess potatoes both were great . My husband loves chicken strips but usually can't eat them because a lot of places use the same fryer for Fish and chicken (allergic to fish) they don't ! He said they were crispy and juicy. We stopped in on a Saturday evening for supper. My husband ordered the perch dinner, I had the French onion soup and burger, my stepson had the lasagna. Everything was good, the French onion soup and lasagna were the stand outs. The bar side is kinda small and noisy with the TVs. If you want a quieter spot, then sit untie "restaurant" side. We had an excellent time here with our 16 month old while we were visiting for the Empire Hill Climb. Our server Jake was so pleasant, knowledgeable of the beers, and so proud to tell us he and his wife are expecting. My husband had the prime rib sandwich and it was incredible, so well seasoned and perfect temperature. I had the perch and it was also excellent. Lightly breaded and fried, really delightful. They made a grilled cheese and French fries for my antsy boy in about two minutes. We also took home some excellent homemade cheesecake. A lady I believe who is management came over and spoke to our son, it was very sweet. Excellent food, service, atmosphere, beer selection, it was a great experience. Had a great early dinner / late lunch here. The ambiance is somewhere between a sports bar and a ski lodge. My husband got the "award winning fried perch" (fish and chips) and liked it. I got the French dip. Let me say I am a sucker for French dips and this one did no disappoint. The beef was tender and delicious and the au jus was au-mazing. It took about 10 minutes for our waitress to come to the table. We were given food menus but no drink menu, and eventually had to ask another waitress for one. Once our server arrived, we could already tell things were moving slowly, so we ordered everything at once--drinks, appetizer, and entrees. Surprisingly, the appetizer came fairly quickly. Our drinks, however, didn't arrive until more than five minutes later--after the appetizer had already been served. Then came the worst part: we waited over an hour for our entrees. During that time, we watched three other tables that arrived after us get completely served before we did. That's one of my biggest pet peeves in a restaurant. Our waitress repeatedly stopped by to tell us our food was coming, but it simply didn't. When the food finally arrived, it was cold and mediocre at best. We had a 5:30 reservation and didn't leave until around 7:00. Thankfully, we had allowed plenty of time before our concert. I still left a 15% tip because I know serving is a difficult job. For perspective, I normally tip 30-40%, and I honestly can't remember the last time I left only 15%. But after being virtually ignored for that long, watching several tables that arrived after us get served first, and then receiving cold, mediocre food, I couldn't justify more. Very disappointing experience. If you have three hours to spare, give it a try. Otherwise, I'd stay away. Sorry to say, but we won't be back.

Then it came time to pay, 4 of us walked out and the person paying stayed behind talking to our waitress, when all of a sudden the waitress came barreling out the establishment claiming we "skipped our bill" and screaming at us in the parking lot when clearly the waitress that followed us out KNEW the person that was paying was up at the counter, overall terrible experience and I can't recommend this place to anybody and advise you to actually steer clear of this establishment. We eventually got our order taken and the chicken salad ordered was over priced and minimal, the chicken tenders were out of a bag, pick one up off the plate it bent over and not good at all especially for the price. To conclude if you are reading this review go 4 miles South on Highbridge to Trax bar and grill you would thank me if you personally knew me. Two star rating is for the Friday fish fry and salad, homemade pasta and dessert bar which was established by previous owners. Sorry Three Sisters but it's unacceptable.... I probably will return and try some other things. Certainly nothing wrong with Trak's as a place to hang out and have a beer.
