Our waitress was very attentive. The service was on point and food was delicious. We came for the view in hopes of getting a good lunch and both did not disappoint!

My family and I were visiting from Louisiana and wanted to find a good spot for fresh fish. When we walked in, the service was quick and friendly, which was a great first impression. We ordered several different dishes, and overall, everything was delicious. The French onion soup was also a hit. And the cous cous with my salmon was the best thing I've ever eaten. The only miss for us was the cod--my mom didn't care for it, and I would not waste your time on this dish. The atmosphere was charming with a cute, nautical theme, making it a pleasant place to dine. The only drawback was the wait for our entrées; it took quite a while even though there were only two tables in the entire restaurant at the time. Overall, I'd still recommend this spot for the friendly service, tasty dishes, and cozy atmosphere. And they have a $15 lunch menu which was a nice surprise too!

The service is always great and the food... phenomenal!! The butternut squash bisque alone is a reason to come here, but the rest of the menu is great as well!

Stopped in for dinner while working in this town. Seemed like a local spot. Sat at the bar - bartender was friendly and service was very good and friendly. The calamari could have been crispier, but the sweet and sour sauce was amazing. The fish and chips - although the portion was large, the batter on the fish was bland and kind is mushy. Dinner was reasonably priced.

Came here on a summer saturday night for dinner, we were able to a table pretty fast for a table of 5. The chowder had really good flavor and it was thick. The whitefish was cooked well, loved the crispy coating but the fish was not dry or salty at all.

Good spot to visit if you're in Traverse City. Fast service and the interior has a log cabin feel. My Organic Chicken Breast dish looked great. The chicken was spiced well. The potatoes were good too but a bit unevenly heated. The miss was the wilted arugula which came between the chicken and the potatoes. It was bitter and I did not enjoy it. I scraped it off the potatoes and left it on my plate. Spinach or green beans would have worked much better.

We came pretty late to Harrington's so we had to eat at the bar, but this was a perk because the bartender is great and we ordered quickly. We wanted a hearty meal after a long day traveling and experienced a classic "steakhouse" meal on the lighter side: grilled salmon and grilled chicken. The entrees were good but the star of the night was the peanut butter cup pie. It was amazing.

Very nice experience at Harrington's. Food and service both great. The place looks like it has been there a long time but very well taken care of and cool nautical theme. View of the bay was really nice. Have to try the seafood chowder. It was delicious. The walleye was also delicious. Highly recommended!!

The food was excellent. Service was fine . But the noise in the dining room was very very loud. Not the best acoustics.

We stopped in on a Thursday, early evening. They were not very busy and there was a table inside available to sit immediately or plenty of bar seats and tables outside. The man working the bar said our server would be over to bring us menus and to sit wherever we'd like. Some time passed and he eventually brought over menus since we hadn't seen a server and said our server would be over soon. Less than a minute later a woman comes over and asks if we know what we want and was just very curt and unwelcoming. We had not had any time to read the menu, so we said we still needed to look over it first. She did not come back for a long time after this and when we ordered our glasses of wine I also asked if we could get glasses of water. She said "it's over there" looked briefly over her shoulder and then walked off without saying anything else. I then noticed that there was a water station back by the bar and went over to grab them. I wasn't sure what the attitude was over a simple question, but our entire visit was like that and it was incredibly unpleasant. We all really enjoyed our wine, but it was collectively the least favorite stop of our entire trip. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone and wouldn't come back after the service we had.

The restaurant itself had a beautiful, rustic and romantic atmosphere, and the hostess was lovely about accommodating our request for a quieter table. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill once our waitress began taking our order. She initially gave us great wine recommendations and was pleasant while explaining the specials. However, when I decided to order the white pizza instead of the trout because I wanted something lighter, her attitude completely changed. She became noticeably aggressive and dismissive, which made us feel as though we were being judged for choosing a less expensive item from the menu. The service continued to be disappointing. I had to ask for the complimentary bread, and I waited nearly 30 minutes for the second half of my wine. When we asked about it, we were abruptly told that the bar was busy. Her tone throughout the rest of the meal was extremely inconsistent, including literally yelling across the table, "How's the food?" It was so unexpected that my husband and I almost had to laugh. Unfortunately, the food itself didn't make up for the experience. The appetizers were decent, but our mains--the ravioli and white pizza--were very average and lacked flavor. We've been to many fine-dining and Michelin-starred restaurants around the world, and we understand that service can occasionally have an off night. What was disappointing here was feeling judged based on what we chose to order. Customers should feel comfortable ordering anything from a restaurant's own menu without being treated differently because of the price. The restaurant itself has a beautiful atmosphere and a lot of potential, but given our overall experience, we unfortunately won't be returning or recommending it to family and friends.

The halibut was very well seasoned and perfectly cooked, and the risotto was a great accompaniment. My fried perch was, as expected, not as good as the halibut, but still quite above average. The prices were higher than a "regular" sit down, but I felt it was a good value compared to a place like Artisan at Delamar or the restaurants at Grand Traverse Resort (we paid about $85 + tip for the halibut, perch, 1 lobster bisque, and a soda) The location is certainly one of the main draws here, as the restaurant is located right on the water, with a great view of the west bay. We were very happy to get a table with a good view of the water, but it seems like the vast majority of tables also have a good view, aside from the bar seating. The decoration and furniture was tasteful and cute -- not quite fancy, white tablecloth vibes, but much more elevated than your average taxidermy-infested northern Michigan dinner spot (ahem, Nonna Lisa's in Mackinaw...) The service was one thing we encountered that I felt was less than completely perfect. Strangely, it seemed like our waiter was a bit overwhelmed or something, despite the moderate crowd, and forgot to bring our soup until about 2 or 3 minutes before the entree came out, and then did not bring the ciabatta bread until after the entree. We also did not get our Coke until after the entrees came out, which I thought was a bit weird for a place as nice as this. But, I know things like that tend to happen in food service, so I don't hold it against them. It was also nice that the manager came to chat with us about TC and our hometown. Overall, we loved this place, and my girlfriend is begging me to come back. We would love to make this place a tradition!
