We come here often and always have a nice time. It's always a stop on our way home from the UP. It is a down home, family owned, local filled, corner bar. It isn't a fancy modern place but gives you all the small town bar feel you could want! We have always enjoyed our food too. We got the perch, fish and chips, and French dip. They were all great! The French dip was extra special and homemade. They make their own bread and rolls as well. We love the waitress/bartender/part owner. She is nice and efficient. She'll get things quickly when needed! We've gone during slower times of the day and haven't been around when it's super busy or late at night. read more

After eating here, you will leave with a grumpy tummy. Service was incredibly slow. Only 5 tables and two servers. We ordered 2 appetizers, pickle chips and pretzel bites. Huge portion of the pickle bites in a basket, yet only the smallest cup of ranch with it. Server never came back to ask for more. Pretzel bites were ok but the cup of cheese with it which was 3x the size of the ranch, was so cold cheese was nearly solid. On to the not so star of the show, the pizza! After waiting nearly 30 minutes for this, I had high expectations. After taking my first bite the disappointment set in quick. This pizza crust had zero flavor. Obviously a store bought plain crust. Think no name great value brand from Walmart but a step under. Sauce and cheese were a bit funky hence the grumpy tummy comment. The cheese bread served on the same blah bland crust. Yuck. Even a little Caesars or hungry howies pizza is better than this stuff and that isn't saying a lot sorry. Avoid at all costs. I will say the 7 and 7 was a good drink. Would have loved to have been able to order a second but waitstaff no where in sight. read more

The Hungry Tummy has been in Beulah as long as I can remember. Years ago they switched from being a resturant that sold drinks to a bar that sold food. What's important about that is the bar has a strong local presence and when I went for dinner at 7 everyone sitting there was Over served to the point of obnoxiousness. If it got too quiet for a second one guy at the bar would stand up and scream AAARRRRRRRGGGHHHH! To the delight of the crowd. There was a off duty server there discussing her prescription medication issues and the fact she was on her 2nd DUI but was going to "Keep Driving". I lost count of the word Fu€k after I heard it 30 times. The bartender in charge seemed like she was the host of the party and could care less. If you are bringing your family here I would steer far clear of the bar area. I've had the food for over 40 yrs and it's pretty good. Broasted Chicken and Pizza are my go tos. During the Tourist season this place is crowded and there is more servers and coverage to sit further away from bar. read more

Been going to Hungry Tummy for years. It was the goto pizza! Since it changed to put emphasis on the bar it's become filthy in any way you use the word. Trash and food on the floor, tables not cleared or cleaned for 30 minutes after people leave even though there were only 6 customers at the bar and NO ONE using tables, one table had empty boxes covering the whole thing, the 6 barflies were talking and swearing LOUDLY, racial slurs flying. NOT a "family restaurant" anymore. Didn't even bother ordering anything as we walked through the restaurant and no one ever even greeted us. I ordered a pizza for take out last year and arrived to pick it up 45 minutes later and STILL had to wait another 30 minutes for it. Will never return here again. Sad. Zero stars! read more

While on vacation at Crystal Mountain we visited Hungry Tummy twice. The first time for lunch and second time for dinner. I have to be honest and say that the first time we almost walked out because it was completely empty and the Christmas decor was still up (my visit was in February). Service : outstanding the wait staff was very friendly and knowledgable on menu items. Food: great, tried the BBQ wings, broasted chicken, taco pizza and deep dish pizza, french dip sandwich were all great. The one thing that I didn't like was: when my children asked for a refill on his kid soda they said that kids refills were not included. I would have preferred that the kids meal price was a bit higher, so we didn't have to worry about silly things like this. Don't want to end review on a negative note staff and food were great!! Got take out pizza. Three adults eating it, all said it was dry with barely any sauce. We called to politely let them know and staff in the background said she's a f*cking liar. We offered to send pictures. Then they forgot to hang up the phone and we listened to them over 20 minutes cussing and saying, she must not be too upset, she didn't send them. We messaged twice. Nothing. So I called on a different phone and they said, that must be the c*nt calling now. I called the business number and he refused to get the owner for me. Then he lied and said they didn't say any of that. I told him 3 of us were listening and I recorded it then he said he had to go. 30 years multiple family members have been buying there but it's gone downhill so badly, none of us will be back. My four friends and I came here and it took us two hours for us to get a drink and one appetizer - there couldn't have been more than 15 people in the bar. We ordered a 2nd round and it was never received. Our tabs were split incorrectly and we had to hunt down our server to get them fixed, plus another 20 minutes to cash out. Both time the pizza was excellent - much much better than Pampanos at Crystal Drive and US 31. The pizza pickup experience left much to be desired. We stopped here after an afternoon playing on the public beach. There didn't seem to be a lot open in downtown Beulah for dinner on a Friday night so everyone and their mother ended up here. We were seated at the only table open right by the bathroom. You know that scene in a movie when the characters find themselves being hit by the kitchen door in their crappy little two seater table. Well, ours was a four seater, but you get my meaning. We got to move every time someone needed to use the restroom or when the dirty dish cart, which is parked right outside the restroom, actually got taken to the kitchen. One waitress was clearly disgruntled with the hostess for giving her more tables, but the place had a wait like a five star restaurant on opening night. Most people ordered pizza from what I could tell and it looked okay. My husband got the all you can eat fish special, but our waitress barely came along after dropping off our food, so even if my husband could eat that much fried fish, he wouldn't get it here. The food took forever and once my kiddos got their mac n cheese it was hard and dry from sitting in a hot window waiting for the rest of the food to be finished. You even have to pay if your kid wants a refill on their drink. What?? Due yourself a favor, pack up the car and head up to the Cherry Bowl for an $8 per person double feature and some great reasonable priced pizza. Came here for dinner. Got the smothered chicken breast. Wife got a calzone. Chicken was okay but very small. Too much melted cheese. French fries were terrible as was the bite of calzone I had. The fountain coke was decent with a solid syrup to seltzer ratio. Dinner roll that came with the chicken was the most redeeming component of the meal. It was dense and delicious. The atmosphere was perhaps the strangest of any restaurant I've ever dined at. There was no music and a doorbell rang everytime an order was up which created a tense vibe in the large hollow dining room. They had Jeopardy on the TV, which excited us at first, but we soon realized the subtitles and volume were both off. We couldn't find out the correct answers! Service was mediocre. The food was okay but the restaurant barely earned one star. Food took 45 minutes to come out with the exception of my mom's soup which cane out 20 minutes before the rest of the food. Our waitress was not happy to be there. She spent half her time dozing off at the next table over and got annoyed when the chime rang telling her food was ready. She actually huffed and sighed loudly as she got up each time. They charged $3.25 for a side of fries which was about the size of a small order at McDonald's. They charged $3.95 for a similar sized order of sweet potato fries after telling us it would be a $1.50 upcharge. They charged $0.10 for lettuce and $0.15 for tomato on a burger after telling my wife she could get whatever she wants on the burger without any warning about upcharges. The mac and cheese my kids ordered was clearly straight out of a box. The restaurant was dirty. This place would be a prime candidate for Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. The staff is burned out and doesn't care. The food quality is subpar. They are nickel and diming customers. The restaurant is clearly struggling and needs an intervention. read more

A local place for sure. Just go in find a seat and keep to yourself. The drinks are great and the food is better. The sign on the widow reads corner pub. We sat here for a few hours enjoying the drinks and food before going to the cherry bowl for a double feature. We knew all the town gossip before we left and oddly enough it was refreshing to know that small towns where everyone knows everything and will stand behind each other still exists. We heard who the best sheriff was and what this county needs and what dusty did and who fed the goats etc. If you have the opportunity to enjoy this small town full of great people beautiful beaches that arn't over crowded I would stop relax and enjoy this small town how I think most of America used to be. read more

Got the broasted chicken and wife got a calzone. It was delicious. Chicken was very juicy and crispy. Wifes calzone was awesome with ham bacon and extra cheese. Her calzone bread was thick and garlicy. Got some fried cauliflower for an app and the breading was on point. Hot crispy and not greasy at all. Good food and really good service. The atmosphere was that of a an old timey restaurant. No music (gasp! You have to make conversation to avoid silence. Nooooo!) and an old doorbell ring whenever an order was up lol. Stopped in to The Hungry Tummy after a great day running the west coast line of our great state. To start it out had to wait close to a hour for our food. There was only about 10 people and 5 of them was our party. With a party of 5, 3 of the orders was wrong. It was blamed on another waitress taking our order to another table. Than found out it cost $2.00 for a refill on a ice tea... Really? Cost $4 bucks for 100 count of Lipton tea bags that makes close to 100 glasses of tea. But refills on soda is free? Free... Yes, refills on soda was told to us was free. My sisters beef stroganoff came out as chicken alfredo, son's tatter tots came out as fries, my Hungry Tummy burger came out with being just a cheese burger...It's the House burger, named after the place... One would think it would come out with out a hitch just saying. Told waitress about the orders, an she filled us in on about the whole orders was given to the wrong table. The stroganoff was made with very little beef and the noodles was stone cold for my sister, son sucked it up and ate the fries, and for my order was told it would be compensated for being the wrong one. Ohh did I forget my mom ordered a side of garlic toast for her chiefs salad... Came out just to be toast with heavy butter. When the bill came it was over $60 bucks... Wooooo here... What? My burger was to be comp'ed for. Nope they charged me for a cheese burger and was stuck with it, forcing it on the bill. Asked for the owner/manager/cook and was refused an audience with him by him... Come on really, your to good to talk to your paying customers? Guess so. Needless to say the bill still came out around $55 bucks. I should of gotten an idea on how this place was after I seen the dirty dish cart full of dirty dishes between the two bathroom doors as I was going in to wash my hands. WILL BE THE LAST TIME WE WILL EAT THERE. So please be warned, save your money, and eat elsewhere. If they don't care about the services, food or patrons. Usually eat in the Corner Pub which is part of the Hungry Tummy - the sub sandwiches are very good and made with their own homemade sub buns. The French Dip is huge and served with a chiabata bread that is to die for. Christin at the Corner Pub is great and is very helpful. - i would eat there again.
