Stopped in for a quick break from the heat and to rehydrate. Great stop for motorcyclists and everyone else. First came here in 2006 for camping. The food was fantastic as was the service. It burned down in 2007 and was rebuilt. It still has the same feeling, just bigger and cleaner. I haven't tried the food this time around, but they now have a full bar and still good camping. There is a lawn for motorcycle camping, too.

This place is so Amazing and the full deal! They have an RV park, Hotel, Cabins, Laundry Room, Bar, Pool Table, Restaurant and amazing fun-loving people. RV park with full hook ups, 30 and 50 Amp sites available. We stayed at the Hotel it was clean and cozy! 37 miles East of Sand Mountain. It is close so you can go and get yourself some amazing food. We tried the Denver Omelet it was amazing and Huge! The Chicken Fried Steak dinner was also humungous, and the asparagus was very tasty as the vegetable for the evening. The salad and the garlic bread were also very good before the meal. The Rib Eye was just the biggest steak I have ever seen. For being in the middle of Nowhere they are very affordable. The night before we had the Drunken Cowboy burger and the Pulled Pork Pocolypse burger. If you like hot and spicy then go for it. If you need a cooler burger, you can ask for the mild version. He had the steak fries, and I had the battered fries. Those battered fries were exceptional. Then evening came and we played some pool and had mentioned Karaoke. I was so excited it was my birthday and Barbara her husband and the staff and locals were there to go out of their way to make my evening special. If you like mixed drinks, ask them to make you a Snickerdoodle it was so tasty or have a Happy Camper. What an amazing bunch of people. I even saw them help someone who had injured themselves by providing first aid stuff out of the kindness of their hearts. They have a store and instead of making the lady buy what she needed they provided it. You don't find many business owners like that anymore. At the end of the evening, we went out and built a fire in the fire pit and just chilled before going to bed. The next morning the guy at the bar was so awesome he helped us with an app to find trails in the area. This is a big spot for Side by Sides dirt bikes and four wheelers. The hotel room was very quiet we barely heard them come or go. I love this spot, love the people, love the vibe. If you are an outdoorsman and love to play, come to the Cold Springs Resort!

It's in the middle of nowhere and thankful for its existence. I'm not much of a night driver especially when towing our travel trailer. We stayed just a night to refresh and take a break from the road. We reserved ahead of time and there was no need to talk to anyone in person. Parked our trailer to our lot and left the following morning. Didn't have the chance to explore due to a tight schedule, but seen a few people with ATVs. I highly recommend this place.

Good spot to stretch out the legs for a long drive or hike on the loneliest road. Full bar, EV charging stations, pool tables and more.

Clean RV Park with friendly neighbors, GREAT restaurant and bar, and fewer long-termers than usual. Owner George and son Nick are inviting and friendly. A true gem in this area whether passing through or off-roading on many miles of trails. We will stop whenever on the #lonliestroadinamerica #rvpark #tiffinmotorhomes

What a god send! We were so tired and this place popped up out of nowhere! They have a restaurant and full bar. They also accommodated us with a comfy room. Had a delicious breakfast too! Highly recommended! Great hospitality.

The barman/proprietor Viktor was pouring booze from what appeared to be a generic bottle into a name brand one, and after a couple repeated shouted questions - the guy seemed deaf as one of the old posts in the creaky building - I wandered out of the bar and into the cafe/kitchen area. ... and promptly wandered right the hell out. There's no way I'd eat anything out of that kitchen. Absolutely not. Just gross and sad. Meanwhile, Viktor had spontaneously launched into a xenophobic maga rant to my wife; I'm guessing the poor thing absorbs AM talk radio all day long and is just full to bursting with it. Naturally, she didn't want to engage, and when she excused herself, he grabbed her hand and kissed it. Threatening? No. Creepy and gross? Absolutely. Awesome potential, in the building anyway, and no doubt some shards of really cool history buried under the dust and dank clutter, but honestly the whole vibe there is the crumbling abode of a bitter old racist trying to hang on as he falls into decay. Like building, like owner. Just... sad.

I was passing through the small town of Fallon, Nevada along driving The Loneliest Road in America…read more I had read that this.....the Overland Hotel was a worthwhile stop for anyone interested in exploring Fallon. After getting my Loneliest Road Survival Guide stamped at the Fallon Convention Center, I thought....why not stop by the Overland Hotel and check it out! It's situated right on the corner of historic Maine Street. It can't be missed. On the roof of the place....it simply says...."Hotel"....lol, that's how "old school" this hotel appeared to be. Also, the entire exterior was painted brick red with a little white awning hanging from the 2nd floor. My initial thought was that this hotel was gonna be a real vintage throwback. And that's exactly how I'd describe the Overland Hotel. In all, it's a combined hotel, restaurant, bar, lounge and saloon all mixed into one iconic landmark. Entering inside....the whole vibe and feel certainly oozed of your typical "dive bar". A no frills, classic bar and saloon dedicated to the blue collar folks out there. I would also slightly describe the ambiance like an old western saloon.....yet I had seen a lot better cowboy saloons along my Loneliest Road journey....especially in playful Virginia City, Nevada. Regardless, I did sit down and grab a drink at the bar. Overall, it was nice, an okay/decent moment to stretch out my legs, relax and unwind after many hours on the road. I would assume the hotel is a vintage type of place to stay as well, blending into the whole "old fashioned" theme. For me, I was content to have had a chance to discover this Overland Hotel as a fine roadside stop in Fallon. For anyone else interested in checking out some other attractions in Fallon, I'd recommend passing by the Naval Air Station (supposedly home of the Top Gun Training facility). Also a few miles just east of town along The Loneliest Road was Sand Mountain Recreation Area.....a unique and desolate spot with land-piles of sand and hills to wander, roam around and explore upon.....similar to but not nearly as majestic as Great Sand Dunes National Park near Alamosa, Colorado.

So I planned an un-plug couple of days for my wife and I to celebrate an anniversary. We arrived at about 4 PM and were greeted by the owners working on a yard project to maintain this building that is more than 150 years old. We were able to take a quick nap before heading out for the evening meal. The Emma Suite was entered with no more than one step up to the house threshold from the exterior patio landing. We entered into a private suite to the left of the entry. I was a four-poster King size bed that was very comfortable. Also included was a private refrigerator, a corner fire place and an air conditioner. Several very nice antiques were included in the historical decor. The private bathroom was very nicely updated with a double sink and a walk in shower with overhead shower head. What an extremely comfortable night. The morning was begun with a specially made breakfast of sourdough blue berry pancakes and sausage with fresh brewed coffee. All in all a very quiet and comfortable place. Did I say quiet? I highly recommend this place if you are going to be staying in Austin.
