Cold stone is my favorite ice cream! They have so many different flavors like sweet cream, birthday cake, mint and coffee. And the toppings! Literally any topping you want and they have it. My all time favorite is the sweet cream, with vanilla cake pieces and strawberries. They also have milkshakes and other desserts as well. If you really love the ice cream, you can order it by the pint. The only thing about this location is that it is in the heart of Altamonte Springs in UpTown and on a weekend night you are looking at 20-30 minute wait for your ice cream because they only have like 2-3 employees working and doing the register. So that is kind of annoying when you want to just stop by for some quick ice cream. They also only have about 4 tables to sit at which are usually already taken so I would recommend taking it Togo. I went to this location at 5:37 p.m., on Saturday, January 23d. I placed my order, paid $8.84 , and went home. When I arrived at home to enjoy my treat, I found it HORRIBLE! I called the store immediately. I was told I could come and get a redo. I stated I would not be back that evening. The individual I spoke to on the phone said " I'm working Tuesday if you want to come back ". It's Tuesday. Came back and the individual in charge would not honor what was previously agreed on. Would have rather driven down 436 to Little Dairy Manor and spent $8 for the whole family and support a family owned business than waste money here. Staff is nice but the ice cream is a total miss. I head over to the Coldstone on Altamonte every Sunday and get the same thing every time-- a Strawberry Blonde-- because of how good it is. The employees are always extremely kind, helpful, and quick. Angel is the one usually working when we visit, and she's especially never been anything but wonderful. This place wasn't exactly the best. There was a worker named Carissa who was extremely rude to me and one of her employees. I asked her if they could serve ice cream that wasn't melted, since that's the way to eat ice cream, and she told me she wouldn't because "scooping cold ice cream hurts her wrists"... like that's not her job? The sizes were extremely off and i basically paid for a cup of melted ice cream. There's only so much you can say about ice cream... it's amazing!!! I'm lactose intolerant, but there are times when I get the urge to eat ice cream, and this was one of those times! Came here last night because my Mom just HAD to have ice cream. I stood in line for about half an hour...for ice cream. There were only two people working out front with a line almost to the door. Not sure if this is normal for them but I would've been long gone if I was there to get something for myself. Stone Cold Creamery has good ice cream, my main problem with them is that they are way overpriced. This IS ice cream, for crying out loud! There is no way 3 people (one is a child) should have to pay $20 for ice cream. I do like their custom cakes- and ordered one for my son's birthday. The online ordering process is easy and they allow you to customize the cake. I was a little disappointed that they cake didn't look better, but it tasted good and was so big it lasted a while. My favorite flavor is their birthday cake. You can't go wrong with whatever mix-ins you decide on. Just don't go too crazy or you'll spend a small fortune! PS- Cold Stone often has coupons for a couple of bucks off in the newspaper or in regional coupon books. read more

I stopped in here yesterday afternoon after having lunch at Jersey Mike's (just around the corner) and to get some mojito sorbet. I'd heard about it being the "flavor of the month," or something along those lines, for August. I tried to obtain some at the Cold Stone in Winter Park last week, but that location has, much to my surprise, closed and been replaced by a shop that does not resemble Cold Stone in very many, or any, ways. As far as I know, this Cold Stone in Altamonte Springs now is the closest one to where I live, so I had to take advantage of being nearby since I otherwise may have procrastinated and missed out on this sorbet I wanted to try. My mother said she'd get me whatever I wanted (I know, she rules!) as a treat, and she said it was okay to order the largest size take-home container. I thought that was a bit excessive, but she seemed to insist. So, I took home a very large container of mojito sorbet. I think it cost her $7-something. Haha. Well, it WAS her idea, so I don't have any sympathy for her for paying that much. The sorbet is very good and I'm now glad that there's a lot of it. I may have to try some lime sorbet or sherbet, like the Publix brand, to see how different it is from what I got from Cold Stone. The flavors are similar, and the sorbet reminded me of lime sherbet. I haven't had lime sherbet in a long time, though ... maybe I was just so glad to have a sorbet of this flavor that it was bringing back memories from when I last had the sherbet from Publix or elsewhere. I don't know. Sorry, I'm rambling again. I'll probably be back here at some point, though I can't say when. This location isn't all that close to where I live, and I also prefer such places as Rainbow Sno-Cones, Jeremiah's and Twisted Bliss. Still, there's a lot of good stuff here. We got there on a very busy Saturday and the line was about halfway to the door. There were 2 people working on the ice cream and 1 person making (way too many) waffle bowls. Then the lady who served us didn't seem to know what she was doing. I ordered the Oreo Overload and she had to keep looking back at the sign to see what ingredients were in it! Then when we were ready to pay, she couldn't figure out how to ring up the coupon that I was using. She had to call over someone else to help her, even though this now meant that 2 people were working on the register and no one was making ice cream! I can understand if she was new and didn't know what she was doing, but it doesn't seem like a good idea to put a new person to work on a busy Saturday night. And by the time we left, the line was backed up all the way to the door! Additionally, there is very limited seating: about 3 or 4 tables and only 2-3 chairs per table. There were probably about 3 times the number of people in line than there are tables and chairs. read more

Awesome customer service. I didn't catch her name which was a shame but she was the only one working and she was super helpful. My family and I decided on coming in after a little hockey practice and it was a decision well made! We knew we were gonna do a large tub customized to bring home and two small size ones to enjoy now. She was great at giving samples of whatever we wanted to try she was super talkative and let us mix in however many flavors we wanted to in our large take home tub. Usually I find when I go to ice cream places you're only allowed to do mix a certain amount of flavors if any at all... only reason I won't give 5 starts is as much as I try to LOVE cold stone I just don't... I'm not a fan of the wicked creamy consistency I'm more of a Haagen Daz girl but hey any ice cream is good in my book read more

Stopped here on a Friday night after the movies. It was pretty busy, but the staff was handling the line extraordinarily well. I tried the banana ice cream with brownie pieces mixed in and my wife had her usual cake batter with white chocolate and waffle cone pieces. So good!! Speaking of waffle cones, you get a deal for checking in on Yelp. The deal says one free waffle cone or bowl with a purchase, but it only makes the upgrade free, not the actual ice cream. My wife and 3 teenage children were here tonight for ice cream.we waited for about 10 minutes or more in line. When it was finally our turn my wife ordered. A second counter person came and asked if we were together and when I said yes proceeded to ask the persons behind us what they wanted. This happened twice. By the time it was my time to order 6 other persons behind me had ice cream and my wife and son were finished with there's. I'm not sure why these counter people are taking orders behind us and it getting one family served at once. It made no sense to us. This is my favorite place to get ice cream. I have tried other places since going to Cold Stone but I always find myself wishing I had went to Cold Stone instead. Through no fault of the general employees, this Saturday night was found to be the worst cold stone experience I've had. My partner and I have visited this location many times, each with happy experiences. Tonight was anticipated to hold the same ice cream euphoria. Unfortunately, there was line ten deep in front of us, and due to our love of ice cream and how far we have to drive to get to the location, we decided to stay and wait. One of the employees started her break not five minute afterwards, after another five people had joined the line behind us. Another employee was sitting in the back playing on her phone. Both were minors, required to take breaks... But why did management fail to schedule them at different times? After a ten minute wait in which we hadn't moved, we left unsatisfied. read more

Stopped in while on vacation since I usually Love Cold Stone. Let me say, the ice cream was as good as it always is but the experience at this store was anything other then pleasant. The line was long and the employees were joking and celebrating that the line was "to the door" to quote them. They were more interested in their conversations between them then in serving the line of people. Tables were dirty. The girl working there took so long that the ice cream was melting by the time she put it in the cup and it wasn't even to the top of the cup. Not my usual Cold Stone Experience.
