Olivia, the owner, brought us all cookie painting kits so that we could participate. The Zoom participants, like myself, were able to pick up our kits the day before the demonstration. I can't describe how perfect the kits were, nor how much fun we had. This was also a generous donation of her time and talents. She is a fellow cancer survivor with courage. I know she does not want that to define her, so I may remove this comment later. (Please, consider this circumstance when reading some earlier reviews elsewhere, as the timing is self-explanatory.) This shop will soon be selling these same kits through the website, which is currently being developed. I also hear a possibility of workshops!! Additionally, they sell gorgeous wedding and shower cakes, specialty cookies, pastries, and more. Currently, orders are by appointment only. They also stock a variety of related items like jams/jellies, soup mixes, cookies, etc. You can choose the ones slighly out of date or a few days older for lower prices. Given that these are all items with a long shelf life meant to stock the shelves in a grocery store, it hardly matters - I always choose the cheapest option and have never had a problem. On certain days, the prices are ever lower...I forget whether its Monday or Wednesday that all bread is $1 a loaf. Can't beat that. The store rarely has more than a couple people shopping inside. There are usually only one or two people working in the store, and even though it's not busy out front, they are busy with bookkeeping in the office. Nevertheless, they come quickly to the register if you're ready to check out. I bet they get kinda lonely some days and appreciate a cheery customer now and then. We ordered a large chocolate chip cookie dough, a medium chocolate, and a banana split and we were not disappointed. The price was very decent for the amount of ice cream you get as you can see in my lovely picture. They don't skimp, the flavor is on point, very generous, and the ice cream is very good. The bananas were perfect, fresh strawberries instead of syrup on the banana split, and the pineapple was tender and just right. The only thing I was disappointed about was that they didn't have mint chocolate chip ice cream, my favorite, but they did have a thin mint flavor that I'll try next time. First off, they have a sign that says that kids under a certain height get a free baby cone, which I thought was amazing! Unfortunately, the employee did not offer it to us or even mention it. I don't even know if it's a thing or not. Anyhow, we ordered three milkshakes. One was a chocolate, the other was cookies and cream in the third was a mint chocolate chip. I should have totally tasted it before I asked for it because it was the worst milkshake guy I've ever had in my life! It was ice cream scoops in the middle and milk around it. Not to mention, the flavor was just completely off and it was very offputting. We did stop off somewhere and end up throwing them away. The young man that gave me the milkshakes served my milkshake to me and a cup with a tear, so it was leaking. I asked him for another new cup so that I could transfer it and he stood there while I did it the whole time, instead of offering to fix it. I also had to use about 10 napkins to clean all three milkshakes because there was ice cream leaking all over. The tops were open which shouldn't be used unless there is whipped cream inside.
