We have tried cold stone a few times and each time it has been a resounding this is "overrated" for us. I got the over the rain dough and was disappointed there was no cookie dough in it at all but just a ton of one kind of sprinkles and plain cookie dough "flavored" ice cream. For one small and one regular it was $20 and for that we could go get much better ice cream. I'm not big on my ice cream being "melty" either tough, so it's mostly just personal preference read more

I have multiple sclerosis and this afternoon I took my immuno-compromised self along with my 15 year old daughter to finish up our day of celebrating her birthday. We ordered 6 various cups and a birthday cake. We frequent this particular establishment because it is veteran owned and we are a military family and honor the sacrifice. Well, they were in the throws of a mad rush when we arrived an our order ended up being wrong and the cashier agreed! However, when the other young woman came over to get the explanation-THINGS WENT SOUTH FAST!! She basically insulted my intelligence in spite of the fact that I am a teacher and have multiple degrees with 2 of them being from the University of Georgia! So, we left with only 5 orders - even though we paid for 6! She was refusing to even try to understand what I was saying... End result was we left with 5 ice creams and she SNATCHED and KEPT the receipt! I guess we just became Team SWEET FROG!!! read more

I usually visit the Fort Bragg location but since I was out in Fayetteville on 15MAR23, I decided to visit this location. Wasn't pleased. It was dirty, parts of the inside was falling apart and tape was used to fix it. Staff was nice though. The CSC server I had did a crap job with both of my orders. So crappy I hope he is someone new. He needs a really good excuse for the poor preparation of my order. My daughter asked for ice cream with cookie dough mix in. He repeated it back to her and still forgot the cookie dough. I asked for the Oreo overload, one of my favorite signatures to order, and it was everything BUT Oreos in the order. He put mad chocolate chips in it, barely any fudge, and minimal Oreos. This was for a "love it" size. I saw more ice cream than the mix in. Also, he did a poor job at mixing it. I was not pleased. I'll just continue to visit the Fort Bragg location. Smh. read more

I had such a great experience with Cold Stone! My sister's birthday was yesterday and I was able to order a custom Ice Cream cake online literally the day prior! (24 hour notice required). I am a Private Pastry Chef that came into town to visit my family in Fayetteville. My sister insisted on having the family's favorite at Cold Stone, which I was fine with so I didn't have to make it! The customer service from start to finish was great! I had some phone call interactions that were friendly. When I went to pick up the cake they were responsive and lovely! I talked to the Shift Manager Amina who told me that she was the one who made it! Great job Amina! I do not have a picture because it was THAT good. They devoured it. Lady that was holding it down definitely made it clear that she DID NOT want to hold it down lol there was a mom and some kids in front of us and another couple. She got them through super quick which is a good thing I guess but regardless her speed she was cold. I SO much wanted to give this store an awesome review - especially because our family LOVES Coldstone...BUT I'm not sure if it's due to being short-staffed, under-managed, or some other cause unknown, this store consistently provides us with bad service. Since the start of COVID, we've ordered from this store MANY times (1-2 times a week at some points) and nearly every single time, there's been an issue with our order...the size was wrong, the ingredients were wrong, the ice cream never made it to us, the whole order was wrong. And even when we tried to call the store for assistance or notify management about the consistent issues we were experiencing, we received poor customer service on the phone (long waits, no one calling us back after stating they would, etc.). Needless to say, we've been ordering a lot less from here and finding alternatives. I would really appreciate the management or someone taking a closer look at the overall efficiency, customer service skills, and attention-to-detail expected from and displayed by the staff. There's already so much else to stress about...I'd really prefer our ice cream orders NOT to be one of them. I am always in for Cold Stone. I love it. I only have one issue with the whole set up... well 2 actually.... 1) The store in Fayetteville is NO WHERE NEAR as nice as the one over in Pinehurst. 2) I hate feeling obligated to tip the person who dips up my frozen custard. ( I eat it with no added toppings and no mixing). If I could reach over and dish it up myself I would, They act like you are the worse person ever if you do not tip them. Many places are adding a tip jar or a tip option to their receipts. Times are tough and I am all about throwing the coins in a tip jar if I am paying with cash, but adding a $2 tip to my debit card receipt for a $3,00 ice cream, or a $2 tip for ringing up the box of cup-cakes that I personally got out of the cooler and brought over to you to ring up, then I picked them up off the counter and carried them out myself... Tip you? really? sounds a little off to me. Am I wrong? My only complaint for this location (which is typical of Fayetteville) is that the staff is young and are sometimes more interested in talking to each other than working quickly. I've had this since I was a kid from CA. When I got to my first duty station Fort Knox it was depressing this place was a little over an hour away so I rarely dropped by. Coming here we have one on post to which is really cool besides the other convenient places nearby. I got half chocolate devotion with the new 'truffle' ice cream in a Love It size. And the store is tiny literally the size of Fayetteville and surrounding areas and this store is the size of 2 bedrooms combined. It's tiny. I've had the worst experience today of my life. I went in mind you I spent 25 minutes in there and had multiple people who came after me leave before me. I asked for two love it cake batter ice creams with cookie dough mixed in. The girl first started and out brownies I had to remind her that's not what I said then she fixed it and put cookie dough. When she was finished I noticed she gave me the wrong size but before that I guess she didn't get enough ice cream thinking that it was the bigger size so she took a scoop of ice cream and just slapped it on the top. Also , she had ice cream all over the cup and dropping everywhere along with melting because she took SOOOO LONG. When I finally got into the car I noticed that neither of them were cake batter , they were both vanilla. I'm sooo displeased. The girl training the newer girl with the red braids didn't do anything to help the situation, I paid full price and had ice cream dip all over my car. When my sister went back inside to ask them to fix the situation they looked at her like she was speaking another language and made her feel very uncomfortable before finally giving her a cup to catch the ice cream that was dripping and was already rubbed all over the cup.
