The quality and taste of their ice cream has severely gone down hill in the last few months. Ice cream has chunks of ice in it and it almost doesn't have a taste to it. My family and I literally come here a few times a month for our family ice creams, and have done so on and off for about 10 years. I'm sorry to say I will no longer be a customer. I more recently tried to order a smoothie (thought it would be a bit healthier than their ice cream options), but they didn't have the bananas for it. Strike one. Then tried to order another smoothie (this time one without bananas) and they told me they only had the ingredients to make the smoothies that used splenda. Strike two. I didn't give them a strike three. In my humble opinion, they already were "out" with me. I gave up and just had an ice water. Also, it is way too pricey. You could get a half gallon of great ice cream for the cost of their small "like it" portion. But my kids like it. I think their fav is the sweet cream with brownie putins. I personally am not so hot on it (obviously), but I take one for the team and go for my kids. Sigh. read more

We called the other night an hour before close to ask what time they closed because we weren't sure with COVID. When we pulled up, we saw over 5 kids hanging out with the employees and leaning all close to the counter. We didn't feel comfortable going in or "interrupting" their social hour. Inside Scoop in Littleton never has this problem and also hire high school employees. I see a lot of complaints here about poor service and here's another. It was a busy Friday evening. The two teenage girls "working" would disappear into the back storage area and return on some mysterious timetable only known to themselves. Then would stand impatiently while customers ordered - obviously feeling their time was being wasted. There were 7 tables but 4 have them had no chairs. I wouldn't have ordered something that had to be placed on that marble mixing counter on a bet - it was filthy. The girls kept using it for different customers without cleaning it off. We wanted lids for our dishes but by the time we realized we hadn't gotten them, the girls disappeared again. What is so very compelling in that back room? read more

I was in last night (11/16/2020 around 9:00 pm) and everyone there was fantastic! They were so kind, I wish I could remember their names. I have a nut allergy and they made sure that it was safe for me to eat there. One girl went to the back and got clean spoons and gave me a huge amount of ice cream. The boy who was there made sure I knew that peanuts were used in the ice cream and the girl that checked my friend and I out was wonderful as well. This Store is under new management and I have just heard that a good chuck of the employees have quit or have been fired. The new owner seems to not tolerate any opposition and had called staff members LIARS with immediate termination over TEXT MESSAGE. Not by phone or in person, A TEXT MESSAGE. I worked at this store for 5 years, and almost all the employees either love this job, and have given tons effort into the community with fundraisers, charity, and every other normal day. Of course the ice cream is good -- it's Cold Stone. The problem is that the store is filthy. Not messy, truly filthy. Dirty finger prints everywhere, tabletops are never wiped, the drinking fountain had a scum all over it on Saturday, the floor is grimey all the time. And this filthiness is constant, not just one time when we've been there. My husband's response to me pointing out the filth was "it's all teenagers who work there so what do you expect?" The few times I tried this location over the summer I wasn't overly impressed with the service. It was a bunch of teenagers working there who always seemed to have friends visiting and talking to them while I was trying to order. Now I don't want to sound like "get off my lawn" guy but this happened on multiple occasions. I know you can have good teenage employees as well (see Chick-Fil-A) so nothing against them as a whole. This review is for Isabelle and Dana. (hopefully spelled correctly). I called at the last minute to see if it was possible to order a mother's day cake for delivery. Isabelle was incredibly helpful on the phone. She took the time to tell me what was available in the case and helped me and waited patiently while I submitted an online order with her guidance. She stayed on the phone until the order was confirmed and she printed it out. She even waited after I made a mistake and had to redo it. Isabelle said she would have the cake decorator take care of the decoration and make sure everything is ready for delivery. She was extremely friendly, patient, kind and helpful.Then after I finished the call, I realized I had the address entered wrong. I called back and Dana was also super friendly and helpful and immediately updated the details and made an extra note for the delivery driver. We have chosen Cold Stone for the dairy free options, and attention to allergies. Unfortunately, out experience this weekend ended with a hospitalized child with an anaphylactic reaction. This child has never had an anaphylactic reaction prior to this experience. We know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Cold Stone was the only exposure. When I contacted them with my concerns they were unable to offer any reason for how this could have happened so badly, only a simple apology and questioning whether the exposure happened there. I further voiced my frustration that our child saw the girl on her phone when she was making the dessert. The store admitted that was the case and that they have now talked to her. I don't feel like this was handled well at all, and they only wanted to avoid the situation. We will never be back because their only response was that they can't control it, so they can't be trusted. read more
