I love that this place is across from my friends new apartment (although i hate how tempting it becomes to go so often!!). I came about 20 minutes before closing at 11 PM on a Saturday night, and the line was to the door. I guess the secret is out. There are about three highschoolers working behind the counter, doing their best to keep up with the front end and back end, kudos to them. There are so many delicious, classic and signature creations, as well as constantly changing flavor options. I couldn't make up my mind so I decided to create my own, cake, batter ice cream with Oreos, cookie, and yellow cake pieces. Absolutely divine. My friend got the coffee lovers and also was raving about it. There is not many places, but there are a few small tables if you feel like hanging out. I can be pretty particular about how they make my ice cream because I used to work there forever ago, but this experience was definitely a good one for my first time in a while. She was quick and didn't over mix my creation. I don't know if they still sing when you tip but I don't expect it. The crew here isn't bubbly so don't expect outstanding hospitality. read more

Ice cream here is great. I stopped by Sunday evening to get my grandson a little treat. He got a medium sized cup of chocolate chip, and I got a large cup of coffee lovers only. That was the best. The service was amazing I was only going to get plain coffee ice cream until I was asked if I'd like to try the coffee lovers only I'm glad it was suggested it was the best I've had since eating coffee ice cream and I love anything coffee or coffee flavored! Called earlier in the week for a Friday pick up of the Barbie themed cake for my mothers birthday. the small cake cost $43 but hey, it was Barbie week and a birthday so I went for it. They deliver i am so happy they do. I was having a lazy day but really wanted ice cream. This made my day. I ordered chocolate ice cream with heath bar i think and a chocolate Waffle. Located in the Hollywood Mall across from Target, Cold Stone Creamery is a small store that offers a variety of soft serve ice cream flavors and toppings all under $6. You can either have one of the twenty Signature Creations or Create Your Own by first selecting a flavor and size, choose a mix-in (first mix-in is free, additional is $0.69), then you can add a waffle cone or bowl. Cold Stone also offers various milkshakes, smoothies, ice cream cakes, ice cream sandwiches, and prepackaged ice cream. There are a few table seating inside and outside for customers to enjoy their sweet creation. The employees were friendly to each person(s) who were steadily coming in and prepared their creation of choice in a timely manner. I've been to this location many of times and the consistency is just so bad. They're either out of flavors or out of toppings. They used to have it really put together but the last few times they have really been a let down. I don't know if it's new management or lack there of. I hope something changes soon because they are also always short staffed. Certain employees don't want to make shakes and then you're left waiting for one who decides they'll do it. Unfortunately this location seems to be under new ownership and cannot provide the same quality signature ice cream cakes. My job is right down the street and we have always gone to this location for birthday cakes. The last several months we have tried ordering different cakes and have been disappointed each time. Previously the front freezer had the cakes pre made and ready, now they rarely have any available and all the ones we've tried are nothing like the actual cake. The lovely young woman that did our ice cream was truly an artist. She made each of the girls ice creams with love and creativity. This young African American with beautiful short kinky curly hair that was working Monday May 27th around 6-6:30pm was beyond rude when I told her she made my ice cream incorrectly. Made me a new one and demanded I paid for it and begun cursing at me once I told her that wasn't right. I told her 2 toppings and she misheard me and did it wrong . I didn't see topped it off because I went to the restroom while my partner paid . And we couldn't be more excited than some cold slab rolled Coldstone... unfortunately the customer service, while nice were not welcoming. 3 employees & only the 1 attending to us was smiling, sweet & trying to work with the limited inventory available. There was no cream cheese or sweet cream & the marshmallow ice cream was just a soupy mess when done with the mix ins. Thankfully my husband's peanut butter delight was on point for him therefore this allows me to give it at least 3 stars. I'm shocked at what has become of this location. I worked year years ago and know personally what the Cold Stone franchise stands for. It was 10:34 pm when we arrived to the store and when we walked in the employee said they were closed. There were people inside and in line waiting to order. I asked what time they closed and she said 10:30. I pointed to the front window and said your sign and website says 11. She said well we are closed so we can clean up. We walked out and another couple walked in. They were told the same. The gentleman asked how it was closed when everything says 11. The girl said they were minors. And that if they had any issue they can call corporate. We saw 20 people be denied service from 10:34 to 11 pm. It's crazy to think that Cold stone would allow their employees to ignore their own closing time and decline service. read more

This specific cold stone is my favorite for several reasons and yes there is a difference between stores. The staff here no matter who is on shift they are all amazing and attentive with everyone who comes in. Cold stone always has my heart for ice cream shops because you can create your own and they mix it for you. It's the only place that has mostly every fruit, chocolate candy, and nut toppings that you could put everything in it. It's not unlimited or free toppings so if your a toppings person like me just know your partying for each one after the first one. But the money is worth every bit. read more

I urge the franchisee of this location to take a look at their store. I went in today at around 6 pm at a fairly busy shopping strip to find one customer at a table and one associate behind the counter. The person who provided the service was friendly and quick to point out that they ran out of blueberries which annoyed me but at that point I did not want to be rude to the nice employee so I asked what his recommendation as substitute would be and opted to eat in. I noticed right away that the floor was very sticky and dirty so I decided to go outside but quickly regretted that choice. All the tables were dirty and chairs were ripped and stained. I went inside again and all the tables were nasty and the garbage receptacle was bursting. This review in NO way is aimed at the employee who provided great service. This is strictly for the manager/owner overseeing this property: always have two associates on the floor at all times to avoid valid issues above and keep the ingredients fresh and stocked at all times. This is just business 101, our ever changing service industry is quick to decide what works and what doesn't. Placed a pickup order for an Everybody's size of Birthday Cake Remix and a sprinkled waffle bowl around 5:13PM. Paid ahead online and was supposed to be ready at 5:27PM. Husband went to pick it up and they said they never received the order, even with our proof of purchase and confirmation order #. They made him pay for the order again, no sprinkle waffle bowl, and now there are 2 pending charges on the account. I rarely come here anymore because it sucks. However, my husband was treating and it was his choice, so I came anyway. For starters, they don't serve ice cream here, they serve ice cream soup. Secondly, I asked for a waffle cone, but was told there were none and they'd come in tomorrow. As far as I recall, they make them here, so way to be lazy. Another woman asked for brownies and she was told that there were none until someone bothered to look in the back up supplies and miraculously found the last container. The floors and table tops are always sticky - your shoes make the sticky sound with every step you take. Then as I sat there minding my business eating my soup, the freaking chair leg gave out and I went down to the floor in the weirdest slow motion fall I've ever experienced. My husband and another customer immediately jumped to my aid to help me up, but although I was seated right in front of the counter, the commotion went entirely unnoticed by the two most oblivious clerks in Hollywood. Once I got up, I went to wash my hands in the most disgusting bathroom, which had a ring in the toilet and the sink. Afterwards, I sat back at my sticky table. I watched the new clerk turn away a couple that was already eating their ice cream because he didn't want to break a $100 bill by giving up all the $20's in his register. Yes, he actually said this out loud. The customer handed the partially eaten ice cream back to the clerk and said it was a real shame, but they'd have to go elsewhere that could accept their payment. Then my husband decided to buy a couple bottles of water. I mentioned half joking that the very least the clerk could do was give me some water on the house after the fall I had taken on their chair and she was incredibly surprised it had happened although she was there when it happened. It was kind of hard to miss, but when you're in la la land, you could miss a herd of wooly mammoths walking through an ice cream shop in Hollywood, I suppose. At the end, I still got my free water, though, but not out of her generosity. Instead, we can thank the sorry excuse of an education system we have for this treat. She charged both bottles, my husband gave her a $5, and she gave us the total she had charged as change. I don't even feel guilty it about because that's what you get for hiring morons. By the way, we had set the damaged chair aside and told the clerk to get it out of the dining room. He picked it up, set it back down, and took a step towards putting it BACK at one of the tables. I told him that he'd better get that chair away from public access because the next person will be seriously injured and you won't get lucky with someone like me who won't sue over something stupid, but there are people who would gladly do it. So he hesitantly picked it back up and put it in the back. So you're welcome, I just saved you a lawsuit. I'm not coming back to this location no matter who's treating because getting ice cream should be a happy experience, but each time I've come here, it feels like I'm being set up for inevitable disappointment. read more

I made the mistake of asking for a taste of the sweet cream flavor. It was SO good. I got that plus a chocolate chip mix-in, in the smallest size they have (which is the same as the biggest size you can get in Europe, lol) and enjoyed every last bite. Thanks, Cold Stone! We come to this Cold Stone at least three to four times a month. The ice cream flavors are great and their creations even better. I always go for my chocolate devotion and my bunny for his cake batter shake! Never disappoints!! The staff here is not to friendly and today the line was out the door and they were not helping the situation one girl would go to the back for a while then come back and then the other one will go. It's like they were hoping that when they walked out no one would be there. Also this is the third time I come and they're out of a flavored ice cream. First two times it was cake batter which I understand but this time around was chocolate what Ice cream place runs out of chocolate. So I was not able to get my usual chocolate devotion of course so was very disappointed. The reason why I don't give this place five star is because of the staff.
