Been meaning to write this review for a while but haven't had a chance. I love Cold Stone and love having one so close by and now I can enjoy it with my kids. Went here with the fam on a pretty hot day in September and found that around 4-5 o'clock, it is not that busy. We got two medium size ice creams, both with waffle cones. Paid almost $20 for 2 ice creams - yikes! I know inflation is bad but I remember when I used to pay almost half for 2 years ago! While they were tasty on a hot sunny day, I felt the presentation could have been better because as soon as we got them, they looked like they were both melting. Absolutely horrific experience with Bryan and Lisa at the Lake Mary location. We attempted to cancel a cake order with more than 48 hours notice. We were told that the cake was already completed but they couldn't give it to me that day. I was told by Bryan that he'd help to resolve my issue the next day. The next day came and Lisa decided to read to me "verbatim" a policy that is different than the website's policy regarding cancellations. Very long story short, in order to get a resolution I had to get my bank and corporate involved. I do not recommend this place whatsoever!!! Ice cream was good, service was terrible. I was confused in terms of which cone I wanted (the only customer in the shop) and the girl who 'helped' me was totally dismissive. I'm not a demanding person. I just wanted 2 scoops of ice cream and mistakenly asked for a sugar cone instead of a "waffle cone". I can't remember if I've been to one of these before, but even so, it certainly felt like my first time! This location is has a couple of tables outside, but not much room for tables inside. They have a bunch of what I'd consider as "base" flavors, and then you can add your own toppings to those flavors to make it whatever you want it to be! Essentially, the menus are really just some suggestions of what works well together. So on my visit, I tried their Strawberry Blonde Ice Cream which came with Graham Cracker Pie Crust, Strawberries, Caramel, Whipped Topping and I also added pecans for extra crunch. Overpriced ice cream that tasted way too thick. For close to $6.00 I got the medium size cookies n cream. Honestly the texture was rather strange and I ended up tossing it out. I have been going to this location for almost 10 years now. I have never changed my order in that time either. I order a "like it" size and always say child size because I can't finish it which is one scoop, with carmel and banana. They always smash it together. Tonight as I was holding a sleeping baby the girl behind the counter hands my husband the cup with a cut piece of whole banana on top of the scoop. I told my husband to have them smash it up and the girl told him we don't do that for one scoop. I unfortunately, in disbelief, argued a little and they went to get "Brian" who never came out just answered from behind. She took my ice cream and smushed it up with a horrible attitude. I felt embarrassed having to even ask them to do that THEN to have a child get testy with me. I love Coldstone but this was the worst. First off, I just want to say that I've found ants in my ice cream multiple times as well as seeing a TRAIL of them coming out of the topping containers. Anyways I used to work there for a couple months back in 2020-2021 and it was by far the worst work experience I've ever been involved in. I never got my paystubs for my paychecks and every time I would ask the owner he just told me I don't need them. We weren't allowed more than 10 minute breaks and my paychecks never broke 230 even though I was working 6 hours everyday with a dollar over minimum wage. We weren't allowed to take short breaks to eat if we were hungry or even drink at some points. The owner would leave minors alone in the store during the days and even to close at night. It was completely illegal and horrible. If i could rate lower believe I would -1/10 read more

I'm reading the reviews about this place and the people who are complaining seem like a bunch of Karens. Coldstone is my favorite Ice Cream spot. So the ice cream at every location is amazing. The price is definitely up there. Depending on the size you get and the toppings because they charge for every topping, and they don't give you a lot of the topping. They have a lot of choices for toppings though. So you are looking at about $6-9 for some ice cream, but it's delicious. This specific location is employed by teenagers so it's a hit or miss on what service you are going to get. On most occasions they are friendly and helpful, but a couple time I have encountered some rudeness, especially if you walk in close to closing. They close pretty late which I like as well. THIS LOCATION IS A RIP OFF. The customer service is horrible here. If you want a skimpy serving size and skimpy toppings, then go here. I went around 1:30pm and the store was empty. The so called manager, Nee, was so annoying to deal with. She told me I couldn't sub this topping and it would be extra for this and just felt like she was trying to overcharge me. I really wanted ice cream so I just got something and she barely filled the cup and I don't think she put the proper amount of toppings. I haven't gone to this location in a while, but I'm sure you'll get better service with a college kid who could care less about nickel and diming you, but BEWARE of getting served by the actual manager cause she'll get every penny out of you and give you as little as possible while being extremely rude. I won't be back to this location unless I'm desperate for some Cold Stone. On a positive note, I am addicted to cake batter ice cream and will return to other locations for my addiction :) Also, not sure why yelp took off the other negative reviews that are saying the SAME thing?!? Came in at 9:25p and the store closes at 10p... all the chairs and tables were already stacked and put in a corner... attempted to find a seat outside but the two tables were taken...all the while my ice cream is melting and dripping all over the place... went back in and asked the young female employee if we can use the table and chairs... she reluctantly let us... while mentioning that she had the chairs up because she was closing in 30 min... told her we will stack them back up ourselves...she looked annoyed...especially since 4 more people came in after us...so in summary...awful customer service... This store location was recently taken over by a new owner and has been going down hill ever since. If I want Cold Stone ice cream, I make sure to pick it up now when I'm in Altamonte Springs. Service is very slow, stingy with the fixings, and the table and floors are always dirty and sticky. I tried once to return the unused portion of a container of ice cream that tasted a bit sour and they refused to take it. In other words, this location does not stand behind the quality of their very expensive product. VERY disappointing! My recommendation is to drive the couple of miles to Altamonte. read more

Some of the reviews on the page are bad but I disagree with all the bad reviews. I had an incredible experience at this Cold Stone location. The staff that helped my friend and I was very nice and polite. She had a smile on her face the entire time and allowed me to try all the flavors I wanted (it's hard to decide which ones you want because everything at cold stone is so good!). I ended up going with my usual order of as much chocolate as I can get, and it was delicious. As far as I'm concerned, this location is as good as any other Cold Stone. Only pet peeve I have is that finding a parking spot took forever, then again, it's not the store's fault they are located in a busy plaza. I would recommend this location for any ice cream lovers. Perfect location to break your new year's resolution of eating less sweets. Enjoy :) read more

This business has really gone downhill. The prices are high and the mix ins are stingy. My husband got a large with one mix in and only got 1 brownie when he should have at least 3. I got a small with two mix ins...I got half a strawberry and possibly two raspberries which I had to pay an additional .90 cents for and the fruit wasn't even fresh. Would never recommend this Cold Stone! Worst service I'v received anywhere. Walk in with my girl friend and we were never welcomed or acknowledged for that matter. The two girls were busy gossiping to one another almost completely oblivious to the fact we were trying to order. My girl friend literally had to ask if we could order. Then one of girls gives us a face like we were the ones doing something wrong and the two continue to gossip as they make our order. At check out I'm asked if I'd like a receipt I say yes. After I'm left standing there, I asked for the receipt she never gave me and her reply " oh you want one" forreal? I'm not sure if the two where having a bad night or if this is the norm here and they just don't care? This was my first and last visit to this location!!! If the two girls don't want to work they should quit, plenty of young kids that would do their job and Pleasant :) All this and we got our order in a cup not a cone like we wanted and the sprinkle ice cream sandwich had nuts on the bottom that I did not ask for or want.
