I think that this place is a decent option for tourists that are visiting Long Beach. For starters, the flavors and toppings on display are a hallmark of any major ice cream shops so nothing here. As someone who lives on the north side of long beach, I go out of the way EVERY TIME to visit this location. Their customer service is always on point and I always leave happy. The staff always gives me recommendations and i've loved every single one and thanks to Angel, i've finally found my favorite. The place has a nice vibe and even when i've had to wait in a long line, its always moved quickly and i've never had to wait long. The icecream itself is always on point and their topping stations are clean and tidy! I can not give enough praise to their manager Cynthia for always making sure everything is correct and in order. We got to cold stone at 9:49 PM. The sign says that they close at 10 PM Monday through Thursday. It is April 9 on the Thursday and they closed and locked the doors because they didn't want to take any customers before 10. Technically we should be able to get in especially since it's more than enough time before they close. Instead, they refuse the service because they were too lazy to take any more customers. Either way they would still have to stay over to close up the shop, so if people come in before closing time, there's nothing in the policy that says people can't come in before 10 PM. They should be taking customers.Terrible service. read more

It's been a couple months since I came to this Cold Stone and I'll start off by saying I hadn't been to a Cold Stone in years before I came here. This is purely about the company. The ice cream was terrible. It's that simple. I will acknowledge that big ice cream chains like Cold Stone already give off "quantity over quality" but this was just bad. I didn't want to finish the ice cream and would've preferred to just give the cup I got to someone who would enjoy it. The overall look of the store was fine and in tune with most typical big chain places, very soulless. To top it off if you have a tip to the staff they would sing this really dumb song. A super, super dumb and rude young girl made someone go in front of me after I was first in line and already waiting for an hour. I had my ice cream, ready to check out, dripping down my hand after waiting forever, and she makes some random dude who was behind us in line cut us to pay. I asked, why? This isn't fair. I don't want to wait any longer I've waited enough. I'm here. Check me out. She said no. The person who came in ten minutes after us checked out before us. Added another 5 minutes to the entire process and we were in line before him! My ice cream was completely melted by the time I was able to check out because of the poorly run and poorly managed decision at the pay counter. It was a mess. Whoever the young woman is who was working or managing last night should be fired. She isn't good at this job and it ruined the experience and the ice cream. It was super rude ! A bad call. When it was finally my turn, the available young lady directed me to seek assistance from her colleagues wearing glasses, but her colleague was already attending to an order for a group of three. Despite the ice cream being fully stocked and available, she seemed inclined to prioritize restocking. I politely requested my order from her, noting that the other young lady was currently assisting three customers. With hesitation, she did my order. During the service, I observed her handling the trash can, retrieving boxes and silver ice cream tins, and washing her gloves instead of replacing them.There were three employees present: one wearing a black Cold Stone collar, one in a white shirt and wears glasses, and another who washed her gloves instead of changing them. My overall experience was less than satisfactory, especially considering I was on vacation. I hope that the staff will receive better training in customer service and sanitation practices.
