This cute ice cream shop is in downtown Long Beach and a short walk from the Aquarium. There's lots of art on the walls that make it welcoming along with the friendly staff. Friends who are local to the area suggested coming and it was delightful. There was a seasonal key lime that's a collab with a local bakery that was super refreshing. The signature saltine would be in my go to if I lived nearby. The surprising scoop that I got was the fennel that was at the suggestion of one of my friends. It didn't taste licorice like and was so good that I would up getting it as my third of a mini scoop trio. I'd love to go back and make sure I have a freezer bag to buy pints next time! read more

Tyler was incredibly knowledgeable about each of the unique made-in-house flavors and his passion for the business model was infectious. Despite my allegiance to frozen yogurt primarily because of the option for toppings, the rich and silky smooth flavors of the oolong, Thai tea, and the Crispy Mallow were HEAVENLY. I ended up with the crispy mallow - a new seasonal favorite - while my partner ended up with the oolong. Been a while since I've been here but since I was in the area, decided to bring some friends by. There was easy parking on the street which isn't always the case so I was happy about that. I was surprised that it wasn't too busy but maybe it's cuz it was a bit of a chillies day. The girls that worked there didn't seem very happy but they helped us taste flavors and gave samples. I got a kid's split scoop with coffee and chocolate. My friend got Thai tea and chocolate. Super yummy! I was a little disappointed that they don't do butter cake crumble as a topping anymore. Came here after dinner for something sweet. It was easy to find, parking was easy to find as we parked on the street. I'm not local so when I go back to my car, I got a parking citation! I did not see any sign regarding paying for parking! Anyways such a cute place! The names of the ice cream flavors are so cute & unique. The guy helping us was so helpful. We sampled flavors & he explained what's in it. I sampled the seasonal pumpkin & I really liked it as it was very pumpkin forward, but my man ended up getting that. I picked two scoops of ice cream in a cup: Burnt Caramel and Black Ring Coffee. The fellow scooping told me those were his two favorite flavors. I sat inside to enjoy my ice cream. The Burnt Caramel had a deep caramel flavor which I really enjoyed. Black Ring Coffee's flavor was much too light for my taste. The coffee flavor was there but rather weak. The midnight oolong did not taste like oolong. It just tastes like milk chocolate with something off about it. The formerly known as Christmas crack flavor is their best one and the boysenapple was 90% pineapple flavored. Nice staff and plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. This is a good, local ice cream shop with nice flavors and decent tasting ice cream. The ice cream is made in-house with organic ingredients. I came here on a Sunday afternoon after the shop had just opened. I received good, friendly service. I sampled a few flavors before choosing my scoops of ice cream. One scoop cost $6.75 and one scoop with split flavors cost the same as well. So, it was a no-brainer for me to get multiple flavors. I ordered one scoop split flavors of Black Ring Coffee and Cashew Fennel Chip. Both the flavors were good. The Coffee one was my most favorite. The texture of the Cashew one was a bit on the dry side (crumbly for a lack of better word) as opposed to being creamy and smooth. But regardless of that, I enjoyed the two flavors. I chatted a bit with the two staff members that were present during my visit. This shop was a good find as I was looking for dessert options after my brunch. I recommend checking out this shop. The space was clean and open, which made us stay and enjoy our treat. I'm giving 3/5 stars because their vegan options were limited to sorbet (aka, this place has zero dairy free ice cream options), which falls short of inclusivity for a creamery. I think they have excellent ice cream selections. The texture is great every time I visit. My ultimate favorite is their Saltine Dream which used to be LB Crack. They have excellent customer service and they work quickly. I like that you can buy a pint chip and use it to redeem for a pint of ice cream at a later date. You can tell they use good ingredients because the texture is so creamy, and they don't have that "31 flavors" fakeness. We all loved what we picked, and the sizes and prices are on point! They will give you samples if you ask for them, which is always nice. I do believe they rotate flavors, so check in often to see what they have available. Their customer service is unparalleled with their unlimited ice cream samples, and every time you try a flavor, the employee describes the flavor profile and all the components of the ice cream. They keep it fresh with new rotating flavors every month, but they keep the classics in stock year round. My favorite flavor of all time is their Lemon Bar flavor, but sadly it's seasonal only.
