Coming from Oahu, this shopping area has all of the good spots that left Oahu.. I miss Cold Stone and was lucky to stumble across this one while in the area. The guys were nice and very patient with me as I initially ordered something but realized they still had the old menu and immediately changed to the Peanut Butter Cup perfection. He was already scooping up the chocolate ice cream anyways and was nice about it. Usually I would get that with the peanut butter ice cream, but this'll hit the cravings. When he was ringing me up, he had asked if I had a rewards number but I doubt I ever signed up for one. Although, I should have knowing that I may need to fly back here to get my PBCP fix! read more

I'm from Oahu, so coming here is always an absolute treat since we don't have any locations on the island. Upon entering, we weren't greeted by the staff, and there's no clear starting line--so two groups ahead of me were just standing around until the next person was called. They only had two workers, so depending on how busy it gets, you might end up waiting a while to be served. That said, my absolute all-time favorite is their strawberry shortcake. I didn't get the young lady's name, but she was pretty awesome. When we came in she greeting us and took her time understanding what I was looking for. She offered a sample. I tasted and she kept asking if I wanted to try any other ice cream. I initially said no because there were others in line. She said it was fine. I asked for 3 other samples which helped me decide which ice cream to select. The same young lady (I'll get her name next time) took her time putting my creation together. Even after she finished it she asked if there was anything else I wanted. I said no because I wanted her to get to the next customer. During my time on Maui during a weekend in March 2024, I ended up here buying dinner at the Piilani Village shopping Center. And then, I saw Cold Stone Creamery. It was one of those things where I had to debate ice cream the evening before running 13.1 miles the next morning. I was also celebrating a milestone of sorts because it was about 12 years since joining a crazy marathon club called the marathon maniacs. So, I decided to do just that I celebrating with ice cream from cold stone creamery. The experience here at this ice cream shop was front and swift, about 10 minutes in total, with five minutes of deciding what I wanted to have for this milestone occasion. I ended up having basic chocolate and I purchased a pint of it. Wallet is more ice cream than the single or double scoop, buying the pint of ice cream provides more value than just buying two scoops. It may be more expensive, but you get more value, just total quality and quantity of the product being purchased.the staff was fairly good at what they do and they are very friendly. I ended up mixing chocolate chips into my chocolate ice cream which was pretty chocolaty in the final form. The rest was delicious and I enjoyed it in the hotel room instead of outside the ice cream shoppe. For the most part though, ice cream makes the world go round. Whether you want a sweet treat or just celebrating great accomplishments, ice cream and Cold Stone Creamery can definitely make that happen. At least, Maui helped and it was nice to just be here supporting Maui after the tragic wildfires of August 2023. The overall experience here at this Cold Stone Creamery was good and casual. I even ended up purchasing my friend's ice cream too, since she helped with the transportation for free during my stay on Maui. The ice cream parlor was small, but queen and sizable. ColdStone creamery may not be a household name in Hawaii like Baskin-Robbins, it is a good place for anybody and everybody to get premium ice cream. Your topping of choice. I think that's what makes ColdStone Creamery different than anywhere else in the industry. I particularly like the fact that you could look at the dozens of ice cream that they had in the freezers and all the colors that they can mesmerize you. For me, I ended up with my beloved chocolate because that's what I love. Maybe I'll try a different flavor, but for me chocolate is the one and only for me. The prices here are pretty standard for what they offer. I do love the fact that $10 or less can get you a pint of ice cream. Ice cream parlors are a diet these days but there are always a handful of neighborhood ice cream shops anywhere you go. I'm glad that ColdStone creamery is here on Maui. Also, if you are here on Maui, and in the Kihei neighborhood, and love ice cream. Do yourself a favor and come down here to this particular ice cream shop because it is a wonderful place that you can get homemade ice cream for a reasonable price. The base flavors are kind of limited here but you know you get good quality ice cream when you come here. You can always mix and match flavors, but I prefer to have straight flavor to maximize its deliciousness. This Cold Stone Creamery location is nestled in the Piilani Village shopping center in Kihei, Maui. They accept major credit cards as well as cash. As far as parking goes, there is a large parking here for those who shop and dine in the Piilani village shopping center. I'm not too sure about the bus coming here, so best bet is to look at the bus website and see if they come here. Pretty sure they do because one of the larger area landmarks in the area. And people love to shop. Apparently. I came here through a rental car driven by my friend and left here the same way I came just a little ice cream fix for my stay on Molly and that's not a bad thing either. In fact is a great thing to have ice cream anywhere you are. Especially in Molly right before a 1/2 marathon event. And so, if you're here on mommy and want your daily ice cream fixed, consider coming to this Coldstone creamery location, where you'll get that and a whole lot more. Stopped in a week ago with my 2 daughters. They both love the ice cream here. It's always a hit. I was surprised when we asked for a small sample of ice cream and were told that samples are no longer offered by the store. This is the first ice cream shop I've ever been to that refused to provide samples. We were in Baskin Robbins last weekend and they happily offered samples to ensure that the customer was satisfied with the ice cream they were about to purchase. I was also disappointed that napkins were not kept stocked (at an ice cream parlor, this is really a must). I had to wait a long time for the customer before me to finish ordering before I could ask the one staff member for napkins. And that customer also asked the same. Keep the napkins stocked at all times. Nobody should have to wait for napkins when they have ice cream on their hands, face or on the table. The staff member seemed very disinterested in the work. Had an Airpod in one ear. Didn't seem appreciative when given the max default tip of 25%. Not so much as a thank you. Never smiled once, to be honest, from the moment I walked in the door. The ice cream here is good and so are the mix ins and menu choices, but on a lot of levels this just isn't a fun place to go for ice cream. It's kind of depressing, I'm sorry to say. read more
