We came to Maui as a last minute vacation for my husbands 40th birthday. Covid has cancelled 2 other vacations this year, and we weren't sure we would even be able to make it to Maui. So when I contacted Tori with 1 weeks notice about a custom cake, I was happy and shocked she could do it! We ordered an 8" strawberry guava cake designed to look like a traditional Lava Flow drink, since that's my husbands favorite drink. It was absolutely delicious!!! One of the best cakes I've ever had. It also easily served all 10 of us with plenty of leftovers for the next day. Everything about the process working with Tori was so easy and they even delivered to our hotel so I didn't have to sneak away to pick it up! I look forward to ordering cakes from Tori again on our future trips to Maui!

I love working with Maui cakes. She did my wedding/husbands boar cake, my dads 60th birthday, nieces 1st birthday, my god daughters gender reveal cake and my brothers wedding cake. Any ideas I have in my head she makes it come to life and I loved every single one. I've made the best decision finding her in 2014 for my wedding and now she's a forever cake person/friend. I couldn't findy nieces cake but here's the ones I still have on my phone. They contact you fast, communicate very well and affordable. In the process of making another cake for next month so I can't wait to see it!

Since the beginning of the year I have bought an anniversary cake (Doctor Who themed), 24 kendama themed cupcakes, a dozen Loki themed cupcakes, and a dozen TARDIS/Doctor Who themed cupcakes. Each time Tori and the staff from Maui Cakes has gone above and beyond my expectation. The flavors are rich and delicious, it is decorated beautifully, and delivered free of charge centrally. I am so, so happy that I went with Maui Cakes for my anniversary cake, because I don't think anyone else could have brought my vision to life. I will never go anywhere else for baked good. I'm a customer for life!

We recently celebrated my niece's 18th birthday in Maui and I contacted Tori @ Maui Cakes to create a "country girl" themed birthday cake. My niece rides horses and she is true country girl at heart. Tori made everything so easy.......I sent her a few pictures from Pinterest for inspiration and she took it from there. Tori had the cake delivered to the Marriott and the whole process couldn't have been easier. We had 7 people for a beachside birthday party and everyone said it was not only a beautiful cake, but one of the most delicious cakes they had ever tasted. This spectacular cake made my niece's 18th birthday a memory she will never forget.

Best way to find a local gem! No one greeted us as we arrived at 2pm, offered menus, anything. We sat ourselves, ordered beers at the bar. Great beer selection. Found out after looking online that they had food and happy hour from 3-5pm. No problem, just don't expect a tip. Menu changes regularly based on old photos. We tried the roasted eggplant for $15, and waited until HH to get $2 off the smashburger. While the latter was quite good, the eggplant dish was standout unique and tasty. The sauce in which it was served harkened to African spicy peanut marinade, excellent match with the perfectly roasted eggplant. Wonderful salubrious surprise that will be recreated at home. I asked a fellow clearing plates the inspiration for this dish, he said he'd ask the chef but never got back to us. With all of 3 tables to concern himself with... Great food, nice chill vibe, distant DIY service. Worth a return visit.

I'm glad we listened. We sat at the bar for quick service. The service was fast and super friendly. I ordered the Smash Burger with bacon and an order of garlic fries. Everything is a la carte so if you want fries, just know they do not come with the burger. Everything was delicious. The Smash Burger was perfectly cooked, seasoned wonderfully, and so juicy! The burger also had some spice to it! It had some pickled jalapenos on it and they added the perfect heat. I loved it. The garlic fries were perfectly fried and crispy and had a great garlic flavor and kick. I will definitely come back here on my next visit to island.

I hired Cravings Bakery on Maui through my wedding concierge from my venue. We sampled a few flavors and were pleased with the taste so we decided to move forward with them as our selection. I sent a picture of the exact cake I wanted and was told they could recreate it no problem. Closer to the wedding I again emailed them about specifications which were again confirmed. When entering the reception I initially saw my cake and was heartbroken. It looked absolutely nothing like my cake. They used fake flowers instead of sugar flowers (or real flowers in the least) and the cake looked cheap overall. After the wedding I tried to contact them to rectify this issue and voice my concerns and was ignored. I sent a total of 3 emails to the same address previously used and the one that is on their website. I even filled out the feedback form on the website. I have still not heard anything back from them. They have terrible customer service and follow up. They got paid and have since given me the run around not caring if their client is satisfied. I would not recommend them to anyone, more so based on their lack of professionalism than anything else. Comment from Patricia P. of Cravings Bakery Business Owner 11/3/2014 Aloha, This sounds absolutely unacceptable for any business. I truly did not have a Heather B. (or any other last name within a year before this comment came out). I truly apologize to Heather for how her cake turned out & a negative memory. The only Japanese garden I did was the cover photo for my website. I know that the couples special day comes with lifetime memories, I would never want or need to be a negative memory and I strive to be the best I can be in all aspects of life. I've been decorating for 30 plus years and have not had a bad review. Actually, starting in February 2012, I was working at Whole Foods Market (full time) and closed the bakery to retail customers, only filling wholesale orders . I would Love for Heather to contact me, no matter how long it took me to find this.. Thank you for your feedback. Pat Pimentel I stand by my review and am appalled that she is trying to play it off like I was never her customer. I would like my money back then if you are claiming such! The website I used originally to order my cake and for subsequent communication is the same so unless ownership has changed this was in fact your establishment who provided me service (can I really call it service when it was so sub par?) My wedding was not in a Japanese garden, that was never mentioned. I would love to contact you Pat, but my experience trying to contact you for months after the incident via phone, email and your website proves ineffective. I, to this day still cannot believe how bad my cake turned out. I have attached a picture of the cake I wanted (on the left) and the poor excuse for a cake I received on the right. I think it speaks volumes. How do you even get away with using FAKE flowers in a location like Maui?

Anyone try to tell me otherwise I will argue with you (lovingly with aloha of course). Each piece is just so moist and delicious, not overly sweet. And I love the Mac nut one.
