Krispy Kreme blows away these other donut shop only because their frosting on their donuts can last up to 2 days if it's in a hotel setting . For example whenever I travel to Las Vegas I can eat Krispy Kreme for breakfast 2 days in a row and the donut is still crispy glazed frosting . Of course when you buy the fundraiser in Honolulu it's all melted already because it comes from Maui plus it's hot and humid so all the glazed is melted. I visited around 10AM on a Friday and the donuts were hot and fresh! Customer service is amazing. Everyone was super friendly. I was even offered a free sample of a super duper fresh, hot off the press glazed donut. The location had ample free parking, indoor and outdoor seating. I wish they had a fresh doughnut at all time , I'm either at work or miss the timing, I wish they would use the app too but it's so limited. They never have the seasonal ones too. I come to Maui a lot. I never thought about stopping at Krispy Kreme. Today, I wanted to bring something back different for hubby. He has sweet tooth so this was perfect. AS I drive around, I noticed that the light wasn't on. I giggled wondering if the donuts were fresh. The lot was clean. The building looked warn on the out side. There were a few people inside. I made the trip through the drive thru. The young lady was pleasant. Very patient as I ordered a half dozen assorted filled donuts. I wanted the cream filled ones but they were sold out. I've called and asked before, and they straight up said they don't participate in specials. On top of that, you can't even order for pickup or delivery through the app or online like you can at literally every other Krispy Kreme I've been to. It feels like they've decided they don't have to try since they're the only game in town and people flying back to Oahu will buy plain glazed by the dozens no matter what. The donuts themselves taste fine, it's Krispy Kreme, you know what you're getting. But the overall experience is lazy and anti-customer. From one donut addict to Krispy Kreme, you get my Five Star ratings !! The donut addiction is REAL! Every single visit to KK, I always ask, why Maui and not Oahu?! hehe. I remembered those days, bringing back the donut goods from Vegas, good thing Maui is closer. A must stop here and don't forget allow ample time to stop at Krispy Kreme before the flight back, grabbing extra dozens for friends, family, co-workers and me of course! This Krispy Kreme location is perfect, convenient and near the airport. Entrance is only one way in and out at this location, there is a drive thru but I prefer to go in to the store. I usually grab a few dozen glazed with request for 1/2 dozen donuts, 2 boxes per dozen, which is easier to carry and store in fridge. The donuts are so soft and gets too sweet after eating a 2nd or 3rd one but I love it! Makes this donut lover super happy! After TSA clearance and waiting for our flight, this is when I have my Krispy Kreme donut break along with Starbucks coffee. So fresh and So good!! Back on home on Oahu, after giving away my stash of donuts, I look forward to the next few days when I can enjoy my donuts again........ & until my next Maui visit for more! I still remember my first time coming to Krispy Kreme. I was in high school & the topic came up that I've never been. Everyone just looked at me like I was crazy. How could I've possibly never had a fresh hot doughnut off the line from Krispy Kreme? Well it wasn't a very long discussion. We made the drive all the way from the other side just so I could discover what I l've been missing. With that said, I've been enjoying these delicious doughnuts ever since. A friend told me there was only one Krispy Kreme in Hawaii and it was in Maui. She also said this KK is the only KK that makes a pineapple donut. She was correct. It's the o.g. donut you just can't resist when it's freshly made. We stopped in before our flight to grab a few dozen for friends and family back on O'ahu. Conveniently located near the airport and Costco in Kahului. The parking lot doesn't seem like it ever gets packed. Be prepared to greet the friendly roosters which can be seen walking around the entrance, sidewalks and street. Service was a tad slow the day we went. It seemed like they were short staffed, especially for an early morning shift. Pricing is about the same as you'll find on the mainland. They seemed fully stocked here, which is good. Overall our orders were fine, just as expected. If you get the itch for KK while on Maui, you're covered!! The employees are very kind and great customer service. -ordered: variety 12 dozen They pulled donuts off the back so they were all warm and fresh. There was a majority of the ceilings leaking water so they had buckets catching the water. The ceiling tiles were black and looked very gross. We didn't see this until after we ordered and started eating. You could also see the water dripping from the ceiling into the buckets right by the donuts. I went to Krispy Kreme when I visited home. There's only one Krispy Kreme in the state and that's on Maui. It's about a 5 minute drive from the airport and you can't miss it. Of course it's been a while since I was in here and I remember when it first opened, there were conveyer belts full of doughnuts behind the glass windows and you saw how the original glazed doughnuts were made. The once busy conveyor belts were now not in service. It was a little disappointing because I initially didn't do the drive thru just so that I could see the "action." Nonetheless, I continued to make my way to the glass case filled with doughnuts and instantly wanted every single one of them. Of course, I was having a "see food" diet and decided to hold myself back! I had to have the original glaze, Oreo cookies and kreme, and the strawberry iced with sprinkles. Omg! My sweet tooth craving was fulfilled and the doughnuts taste like no other. These make the perfect treat to bring back for your family and friends on the other islands. Just in time with freshly made, hot and gooey donuts! On a work trip visiting our Maui location and went in to pick up some donuts for the team. Upon entering I was immediately greeted with a smile and offer of assistance. I got 2 dozen glazed and a special blueberry cake for myself (since we don't have on Oahu and it's my favorite!).
