Cashier was polite but I don't understand the corporation charging $7 for a small cup of birthday cake ice cream

Came to this location Feb 15 around noon. Ice cream is always dependably delicious. The service though could have been better. My husband and brother-in-law ordered shakes, and the person helping us rudely/impatiently asked me if I'll be getting a shake, too. My sister and I opted for love it sized scoops. Idk if making shakes are more work, but that shouldn't matter. I don't understand why some people work customer-facing/service jobs if they clearly don't like facing/serving people. Honestly, most CSC locations I've been to, the workers have an attitude problem. Like we bothered her with our purchases. read more

The service was pretty good. Came home, and the ice cream just tasted a bit freezer burned. There were crystallized flakes in every bite. Just disappointed, because usually I enjoy my ice cream from other cold stone locations. Definitely a turn off. read more

I just visited the Cold Stone Creamery on Craig rd and I was disgusted after I ordered. Here's why.... Restaurant #20066 1829 W Craig Rd, Ste 2 North Las Vegas, NV 89032 The employees that were working were "friendli'ish". Seems as if they'd had enough of rude customers as the tone of their voices were diminishing along with their smiles. However, that wasn't the biggest I had. This place was shockingly dirty and disgusting. There was a thick layer of dust on the lights and bugs stuck to the the ceiling vent and ceiling tiles directly over the service area! Not appetizing at all. Food preparation should happen in a clean environment, but this was far from it. Second, seriously, why are there 20 handwritten signs everywhere? It's overwhelming, unnecessary and frankly, not professional. However, the sign that caught my eye was the one about paying before getting items? Common sense, right? No need for a sign; just make it a policy for employees to know not to hand food over prior to paying and then the one on the tables about not moving chairs or tables. Really? My overall impression of this location is to avoid this location, if you can. I used to like it few years ago, as it is close to my house. But now, I will make the Durango location my go-to spot. Did it change ownership and the new owners just don't care as long as people pay? With the cleanliness being the way it is, who knows how long this location will remain open. Great service! but where is the manager?? I walked into a crazy rush and the first thing I noticed was the poor conditions the workers were in. They seemed to be overwhelmed and exhausted, but I quickly realized that there seemed like there wasn't a proper manager running the store. I'm not sure why considering their job is to make sure their store is properly is well functioned. The manager not being there is a common re occurrence that I always notice when I go. It honestly gives the impression that whoever the manager is they are lazy or don't care about running the store!! If this keeps happening I will definitely take this to corporate so the workers have a better and more sustainable manager present with them. The worst experience ever with the Owner Nadia at COLD STONE. I ordered a custom cake for my daughterS sweet sixteen. When we cut into the cake to serve it , it was freezer burnt. I called the store and got the number of the manager Nadia (owner). She did not return my call after 24 hours, so I took the cake to the store for them to smell. They said all they cannot throw do anything but giver her my number. I said that has already been done. I then left the store. She called back the next day and she blamed me for the cake. She stated that the cake must've melted from cold stone to my house and I refreeze it or she said that my guests do not like custom cakes. She never took accountability for her bad product. My daughter ended up being embarrassed during her sweet 16 party. Nadia, the owner offered an ice cream tub but with no toppings if I wanted to add toppings to that ice cream, I would have to pay additional. I paid $63.99 for that custom cake and she still wanted me to pay additional five dollars to put toppings in the ice cream that she said we can have due to the issue. The service was slow but completely understandable for how busy it was for 2 young women. I ordered a strawberry banana smoothie, strawberry smoothie and an apple pie a la cold-stone. All of which truly were amazing. The strawberry smoothie was actually my favorite and extremely sweet, just how I like it. Walked in with two people in front of us while checking out the menu tons of people started walking in. The music was to loud and the customers were almost yelling what they wanted. The quality of the ice cream isn't what I remembered it to be it's just a basic ice cream place for the price you could just go to the grocery store buy a carton of ice cream and candy bar small Into pieces or leave whole like M&Ms or what not and mix it your self and you'll save a few dollars. It has been several months since I've been here and honestly, I don't think I'll be back. Huge disappointment. I know it's an older store but it has never looked as bad as today. There was a smell as soon as we walked in that was definitely not inviting. I suppose it was cleaner but it should have been sweet and inviting. The line was long and there were only two employees behind the counter. I walked to the wrong end at first not realizing they changed which register they use. Again, it had been awhile. They were working as fast as they could but the line was long so I had some time to look around. I noticed that several of the tables were no longer there. I thought that was odd. You could see where they used to be based on the etching on the floor. I also noticed there wasn't a lot of marketing posters on the wall. I always look to those for ideas. As I got closer to the area they are working from, I noticed the counters were a disaster. Boxes everywhere, food mess and trash. The most disturbing though was the fact that the marble slab wasn't cleaned off from the previous creation. So I was getting a little bit of the previous customer's ice cream in mine. And then there was the lack of spoons for the mix-ins. She used the spoon from the walnuts to scoop out my marshmallows. What if I was allergic to nuts!? As I was paying, I couldn't help but notice the three bottles of Dasani water in the display case. Why? As she was ringing me up, she was scratching the side of her head with both hands. She took my money and went to help the next customer. NO WASHING OF HANDS. I'm sure she did the same before she helped me too. It is Cold Stone, so it is always good to tweak the ice cream to your liking. I add a double portion of graham cracker to my ice cream. The extra crunchiness helps add texture to a already good ice cream. Be prepared for a wait. There are always a good amount of customer at this location, and there is almost always one employee working the store. A good store from a good franchise where you can get excellent ice cream, but the always present long wait is a little annoying. The quality of the goods and customer service makes up for it. I will keep coming here though, and I would recommend this place to anyone. read more
