My boyfriend and I tried cold stones for the first time I Goleta on Monday and it was the best ever the atmosphere was great, place was clean, plenty of seating inside and out service was great! Yet today we were in Orcutt with my daughter and grand baby and what a disappointment the place was less than clean weren't enough chairs for the 3 tables to sit at. The ice cream was melting in the case so when we got ours it was even more melted. Very disappointed the girl who served us was pleasant enough but once again what is advertised on the menu should be available yet there were no dipped chocolate or any other dipped cones won't be going back there again. read more

Me and my husband came into this coldstones location last Thursday he got sweet cream with Oreo and I got the cheesecake fantasy. As soon as we walked in we both smelt the overwhelming smell of rotten milk I wanted to turn right around but my husband insisted we still tried the ice cream I don't know why I listened to him. I then walked up and a short lady helped me and asked me "what do you want" . I then continued to tell her what I wanted she was so rude I have never experienced worse customer service. This is the first and last time I visit this coldstones the smell and that rude lady ruined it for me I'm surprised they are still in business. read more

As my daughters and I walked into the store we were met with the smell of sewage. I gave cold stone the benefit of the doubt thinking it came from outside somewhere. I thought it was odd that the ice cream shop was completely empty but after the horrible service we received I'm not surprised. Yesterday our daughter ordered a birthday cake for her sons birthday. It was all he wanted. Today we go to pick it up for a big party tonight and no cake. The girl that makes the cake couldn't make it in today because of a sick child. No biggie. We're compassionate people. Years ago we really loved the Cold Stone ice cream experience. The last two times we went to Cold Stone, however, we were very dissatisfied. First of all we found that the ice cream wasn't really frozen but rather in a semi-frozen state with much of it beginning to melt. Also, the last time my server bumped my ice cream into the hair of another server and didn't think twice about it. The quality of the ice cream has also seemed to have slipped quite a bit over the years! In addition it seems as though the general cleanliness of the shop is suffering. Ive always loved Cold Stones ice cream until I got a chance to order from the GM, Miguel, and his girlfriend, who is an assistant manager. The rudeness my friend, grandmother, and I experienced was absolutely uncalled for, especially when all we wanted was some ice cream! I just felt like they were very disrespectful towards my grandmother. There was no one else in the store except the 3 of us and my bff and I had wanted to treat her for helping us out with something. She couldnt have been deciding for more than a couple minutes, nothing unusual for a woman in her mid-eighties, when she was told that if she didnt order something in the next minute, she wouldn't be able to order anything. This was a little less than an hour before closing. Ive heard other stories about this place from friends. Another friend of mine had a husband who worked there and was fired without reason after working for 3 weeks (he was still a trainee... a hard-worker who had just moved here from the oil fields in Oklahoma or Texas). The husband was harassed and threatened by Miguel when he demanded answers for the termination, as was my friend, the wife, when she went in to figure out what the heck was going on. One more account of the rudeness of this place is from an employee of a neighboring shop who went in about 30 minutes to closing and claimed the assistant manager "had absolutely no respect for her as a customer" and "made her feel like sh**" for trying to get ice cream after her long shift next door. As someone who has worked in food/customer service since I was 16, I find this absolutely ridiculous. I showed up to cold stone at 9:03 pm all the way from nipomo along with others pulling up to window to see what time they close... online it says closes at 10 pm. I called girl answered and says they are closed "9:03 pm"... sign on window and online say ten pm mind you she hungup on me when i was asking a question... rude por service and you closed early. Bad service and not the first time. Wish i knew her name (they all dress the same in spandex lol so that doesnt help lol) she usually wears nike clothing hair in bun and usually is talking to co workers rather than giving you attention while your purchasing ice cream from the company she works for. read more

We love your ice cream! Every chance we get we go especially with all this hot weather lately. There is a few things that could be improved though, when we went last night around 8 the workers were closing down meanwhile there was a long line, we were all watching them mop, and transfer ice cream, maybe tell them if there are more then five people in line to stop closing up? Also, what they were using to mop the floor was a horrible smell!!!! the smell was so incredibly horrible (this isn't the first time we have smelled this at night) I think it pinesol I don't know but is so incredibly overwhelming that it makes its unbearable to be in there more then 5 minutes!!!!
