I came here while in town and wanted to get a sour. parking was easy, sour was whatever, service wasnt that great. I mean it was at the end of the night, but there was no communication or anything. I dont know if I would recommend this place. I do love supporting locals but not sure about this place.

    Trivia Night!

Naughty Oak is for everyone. They have: coffee, soda, tea, beer, seltzer, and seltzer cocktails. On some nights, food trucks provide the opportunity to grab a bite to eat, otherwise there are restaurants nearby that you can order takeout and bring in. Here's what I enjoy the most though! They have the best trivia night on Wednesday. A lot of people participate, it is challenging, and a great way to break up the week. If you're not into that though, the beer is great, the staff is great, and the food trucks are great too. They also do events year round (bowling, block parties, Halloween) so it's worth to check out :)

This one is pretty straight forward. It's a brewery so little things to really critique here. Beer selection is great and, actually, their flights are very affordable with generous pours. Overall they were great. The hard seltzer was tasty but not too strong. I didn't try the flavored ones as you needed to buy a pint but the base one was great. Their chela was nice. Not the best mexican lager i've had but a solid pick, if you're looking for a light beer. The staycation was quite tasty and a good summer choice to sip on, on a warm day. Lastly, the humulomongous was probably my least fav. If you like a lot of hop flavor then this will hit the spot. a few years ago this would be great but unfortunately the hops are too much for me now, still a solid choice for IPA fans. Service was friendly and the whole place has a very welcoming vibe. We were there on a day that Feed My seoul was outside and the beer went great with the korean bowls. Lot of food trucks park in front of the brewery and they also have menus from other local places to order food from. If you're looking for a good place to hang out and talk and have a beer, highly recommend this place.

Mango blonde and cinnamon roll brown beers, are you kidding me?! These were the 2 beers we got on our pitstop at Naughty Oak (the Hop Passport brought us here) and they were some of the best beers we had out of the 6 breweries we tried that weekend. The space is huge with its indoor and outdoor seating options. Customer service was on point and just a really great spot to spend the afternoon. Free street parking outside.

Great beer from a local brewery. I was pretty impressed by the selection of beers so I had to order a flight ($8). I think this is the first brewery I've been to offering hard seltzer on tap and the Passion Orange Guava was a great flavor! The Staycation was good but wish the mango flavor was stronger. Crew Dragon was a solid hazy and the Humulomongous was great but hard to pronounce when ordering haha. Overall, good beer, good prices, lots of outdoor seating and free street parking. What's not to like?

Loved this place. Staying in Orcutt and decided to check this place out as the wife loves beer. Good beer. Good service. Good house made rootbeer. Cool vibes and great music. Bring in food and grab yourself a glass of beer!!

    Fire pit

I've been here a few times already, and it's definitely a go-to spot for me and my friends. There's indoor and outdoor seating available. We always try to grab the booths near the fire (there are two booths with fire pits). The booths are large and can fit 8 people comfortably. They also have cute blankets you can use if you're feeling chilly. Before covid, they had live music as well. Great beer, fire and friends--what more can you ask for!

Naughty Oak just opened and appropriately, is all clean & shiny inside. Not a huge place but a nice bar and several tables make for comfortable beer drinking. We did a few racks of tasters and here's what we thought: Chela Mexican lager, clean crisp with just a hint of bitterness, very refreshing, great on a hot day. Ramsay altbier, clean yet full flavored, not overly malty, a solid beer for sure. Naughty Light session IPA. OK, but sessions can be better. The Able. Central coast IPA. Good IPA showing some hop aromas and decent hop flavors with a bracing but not overwhelming hop bite. The Anthony Hopkins IPA more intense hop florals and a decidedly more hop bite. Might be too hoppy for some but hop-heads should start here. The Willing DIPA the best of the IPA line up. Very nice indeed. Will get this one again. Americano coffee brown. Very serviceable brown with distinct but not overpowering coffee flavors, really good beer. Castaway coconut stout. This beer rocks. Normally the coconut gets totally overdone on these kind of beers but these guys nailed it. Rich, stout with a hint of something good, you might not even guess coconut if they didn't tell ya. Overall Naughty Oak is a great little brewery and I will happily come back whenever I'm in town. They are still pretty new so I hope they will start getting a bit more creative as they are more established and I look forward to tasting here again.

Best brewery in Orcutt. Crowd is usually a little better too. Not sure if they serve food but I've seen food trucks outside.

We ordered a BBQ chicken pizza which was surprisingly delicious and the wife ordered a beer. We sat in the bar area and I decided to go with the self pour option where they give you a card to tap a sensor and select any beer on tap to pour yourself. Me and a buddy of mine had some issues with a few of the self pour taps where we just believed they were out of beer and it also over charged us. I told a server about my single issue where it over charged me and he said he would take care of it but my friend had the worst of luck. 2/3 beers he attempted to pour were simply out. This was when Jess, our savior came to the rescue. When it was time to pay the tab, she comped both of our orders. Mind you, I had 4 beers. Guess what the total was? Yeah, $28. Paid for my wife's beer and our pizza and because I had a single complication with the beer self pour station, she comped the 4 beers I had as well as my friend's order. This is Grade A customer service and a reason why I'd return to Blast 825 Brewery, so shoutout to Jess! We all appreciate you.

While I had high hopes for a good meal, the experience was significantly marred by several issues: Poor Service: We were largely ignored, with staff failing to address requests. The restaurant appeared severely understaffed, leading to incredibly long wait times for service. It took 25 minutes to be asked what we were drinking, and another 20 minutes for two beers to arrive Food Quality Issues: The food served was of low quality, specifically corn rib appetizer were ice cold , the tri-tip was very over cooked and was difficult to chew. My wife ordered the orcutt hill salad entree. The salad was missing two ingredients. Prosciutto and candied pecans. When asked about it the waitress said I will bring you some. She brought a cup of smoked ham, not prosciutto. She indicated that the kitchen was out of candied pecans. Don't you think that should be disclosed to the customer before ordering ? The salad was small, not an entree size. When we asked about seeing a manager, we got a bill with a neighborhood 15% reduction. When asked about that, I was told, that's all the manager is willing to do. Really ? I hope you take this feedback seriously to improve the experience for future guests. Sincerely, A Disappointed Customer

The building is from 1917 and you can feel it everywhere.... dark wood, stained glass, a ship model in a glass case, an old house telephone booth, a hand-painted figurehead hanging from the ceiling holding lanterns. It's not trying to be charming, it just is. The tri-tip sliders and pretzel bites were so good I forgot to take a picture before they were gone (especiallythe tri tip sliders). Happy hour pricing made the whole thing even better. Seriously, if you're anywhere near Santa Maria, make the drive. I'll definitely be back and I'm a little annoyed it took me this long to find it! Tim the bartender was also outstanding. Friendly, warm and informative and of course a great bartender.

To give an idea of how much we like these, we stayed at the hotel for a few nights so we could drink a few extra rather than drive. I used to get to NYC and LA a lot, and particularly when Tim is bartending you are definitely getting drinks that would be competitive in a major city's better coctail bar. The other bartenders are also solid (e.g., some of us preferred Lorene's Espresso Martini and Dennis down in the Barrel Room is great but does drinks with a different style/mixers). The food is also quite tasty now. We were there in winter 2024 when there was some kind of big turnover on the kitchen area, and it had been hit-or-miss. New kitchen for 2025 does well on bar staples (e.g., burgers, sliders). The fish and chips is also pretty great: I'm a hard grader on fish, but everyone realy enjoyed them: light, crispy breading that goes great with lemon. For kids, the popcorn maker was a huge hit, though they could use one or two more kid-friendly entrees. Service is friendly, with good decorum (e.g., fine to have plenty of drinks, but pretty obviously not a place to get wild). As there is often only one bartender on duty, I usually just ordered up at the bar and they'll take it to you. Happy hour was 3-5 PM, daily I think- a few bucks off of drinks and most (all?) food half-price. Overall, had a great time. We'd definitely get back again.
