This is definitely one of the top ice cream cakes I've tried and is very comparable to the Baskin Robbin's ice cream cake! They allowed me to try anything I wanted and even recommended some flavors to me with laughs and smiles. My oh my how I missed Cold Stone ice cream! I tried the caramel apple cream, the pumpkin bread batter, the amaretto, the banana, butter pecan, caramel latte, oreo cream, and the coffee. They really are the best in the business! I ultimately decided on a medium cup and had the pumpkin bread and the oreo cream. I don't know what kind of oreo cream that was, but it was more of a smooth marshmallowy delicious texture and not the standard ice cream texture. My goodness, my goodness, I could have eaten a tub of that. And pumpkin bread.. wow. I'm not a pumpkin fan, but this was just dreamy. The combination.. not so much. Lol. I used to get ice cream here with a date, by myself to go or take my precious little nieces here. I love that there are hundreds of combinations you can make with the different flavors of ice cream and toppings/sauces. Two of my go to flavors are Banana ice cream with brownies, bananas and whipped cream and Cheesecake ice cream with blueberries, strawberries, whipped cream and graham crackers. Both so yummy! There people were seated both inside and outside, but were there wasn't a line when I walked inside. I was given time to look over the flavors and went with Founders Favorite with chocolate. My husband and I brought our heathen children here on Valentines day! It was a nice treat after we had dinner. The kids were so excited when we pulled up to Cold Stone. Other parents had the same idea as we did, there were I think around 4 other parents and about 6 kids there enjoying the ice cream. We got up to order but it took us a minute, there was so many things to pick from. Heathen #1 tried a sample of the watermelon sorbet and he loved it. He ended up getting a giant scoop of that one. Heathen #2 didn't even have to try anything, she immediately picked Chocolate! The littlest heathen was all over the place and didn't really know what to get, so we ended up getting her chocolate too. No add-ins or anything, they all just got one scoop. Now it was my turn and I was like yolo, man, Im going all out because carbs DO NOT count on Valentines day, It's a fact. I got one of their signature creations, the Birthday Cake Remix! It was Cake Batter Ice Cream with Rainbow Sprinkles, Brownie and Fudge. It was so so soooo good! Trent also got a signature creation, his was the one Smart Brookie. There was a line in front and behind me so I assumed what she was making was for the person in front of me. She then proceeded to hand me butter pecan with Twix. I didn't want to hold up the line bc I eat Twix so I paid and left. The Twix were so hard and stale tasting I was so disappointed. On top of that the butter pecan didn't taste like it. I love the ice cream and most of the staff however, I called about 50 minutes before closing tonight asking and confirming that they close at 10pm and let them know I'd be there at 9:40 pm, yes a bit later then I planned but I was just going in and out for one thing. I Drove 30 min to get there and the doors locked and each employee just looking at us through the window. I knocked to see if they would open the door and they just ignored me. The first time the girl who was making the icecream wasted half of it because she was not able to fit the lid properly and was not even apologetic about it. The second time we were at store at 9:40 pm. It was supposed to close at 10 pm but they already closed doors by that time and didn't even have the decency to let us know why they were closed prematurely and deliberately ignored us waiting at the door. You have your choice of cups or cones and toppings. They have a wide variety of toppings - actually twenty that I saw. They range from actual candy bars to cookies to gummy candy to nuts to chocolate shavings and more. They even have dipped waffle cones and cups that also have toppings on them such as sprinkles. There are many choices here. They also have bottled drinks for purchase. I, myself, did not get any ice cream. We had just finished lunch so only the kids got ice cream cups. They seemed to really enjoy it so it's safe to say they make some satisfactory ice cream. They had common flavors that you typically see at other ice cream shops so, nothing fancy or trendy here. Seating is plentiful inside and there are two metal tables with chairs outside for those wanting to enjoy the summer heat. They have a single bathroom for use by both genders located in the back. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! They are constantly out of toppings and are reluctant to customize the order. Always gets the quantity wrong and ice-cream barely fills the cup most of the time(unlike the advertised pictures and other locations). They are stingy with the toppings and the customer service at this location is beyond ridiculous. Ordered a couple of times from this location in the last few weeks and the Ice Cream was very melted every-time. They closed 30 minutes early and would not allow us in. Staff were behind the corner and didn't have the decency to let us know that they were closed. They need new employees because the current ones suck and they all seem disrespectful. You can absolutely get higher quality ice cream in Houston but I do like what Cold Stone Creamery does to stand out. There was a steady line around 6 on a Sunday so looks like I wasn't the only one looking for a treat. What puts Cold Stone over the top for me is that they have about 10 signature creations that you can choose from in addition to creating your own ice cream. For those of us lacking inspiration, this is a nice way to try some combos that you wouldn't have thought of. I went with the signature creation that consists of strawberry ice cream, strawberries, graham cracker crust, and caramel in a waffle cone (no whipped cream). Interesting blend of flavors, well done! They accidentally cracked my crust so it became a little messy finishing my cone but hey there are worse things that could've happened. read more

Food Safety precautions regarding Covid-19 are not practiced by the staff handling your order. This is absolutely not tolerable. First of all, the girl comes walks up to the display and just stares at me... I was expecting a "Hello, welcome, what can I get you?" or SOME kind of greeting... but no, just a blank stare. I guess she was hoping I would just "intuit" that I'm supposed to begin giving my order... This girl and her co-worker both are NOT wearing their masks correctly the entire time they are handling customer's ordered. Their mask is NOT covering their nose. Their mask is LOOSELY secured so that it flaps around so that they are breathing out under their mask from their mouth as well. Only ONE hand had a glove on. To top that off, while she was handling another customer's order, she placed his items in a bag with the gloved hand, but then TOOK OFF HER GLOVE and used BOTH BARE HANDS to reach INSIDE the bag and rearrange things. Before I left, she handed me a spoon with her bare hand. Not wrapped in a napkin either. Needless to say, I didn't accept the spoon. Astonishingly she then proceeded to put the spoon BACK in mixing with other spoons. For sure I'm not coming back here while Covid-19 is still a threat, nor ever again either way.
