I typically purchase about 3 - 4 per year for birthday's and other occasions. I may have to switch up. I just paid $50 for a cake that if you put it together, would probably add up to 4 cookies. Great American Cookies is located in the Pearland Town Center. Since it's the mall, you may not find parking right in front, especially if it's a weekend. They share their space with a pretzel spot if you want to double dip. Great American Cookies has your usual assortment of cookies. They also have cookie cake slices which is a nice touch. It's a small place so it's more of a grab-and-go type spot. The cookies are good, not great. You can get better at some of the local spots in Houston but it's not a bad treat when you're in the area. read more

This is a great story about how we should care for our community when we do business. 2 friends who lived in Pearland for several years were separated when one (Susana) had to move back to Argentina. I got a message from Susana asking me to help her buy a cookie for her friend here. We used Facetime and shared our screen so that she could order the cookie she would have ordered herself. Although delivery got all screwed up (no fault of the bakery), the owner re-baked the cookie ordered and delivered it himself. He saved the day! And when he got there he found that the birthday girl had already received the original cookie and he still left her the second one. Thank you, Jerome! You are a hero! read more

Squired away in the back alongside the pavilion is where this cookie joint calls home. It's part cookies, part pretzels inside. They've got five small tables inside with chairs and a couple tables outside too. They've got the usual cookie choices standard at every franchise. It's small but enough considering most are just kiosks in malls. Customer service has always been good here and the cookies are great. It's my favorite franchise cookie place actually. Their cookies are always soft and stay fresh still for a few days after being brought home. They tend to get busy on those days/nights when there are events at the (Pearland Town Center) pavilion. All in all a good place to stop for a little treat when out shopping. read more

There isn't anything American about this Great American Cookie Co. I was just told, when visiting the store to order a cake for my son's birthday, to place a napkin over my face because they require masks and I no longer carry one, since the CDC has now admitted they don't work and the mandate has been lifted everywhere. The lady at the counter said they still require masks and that they had just run out of them and insisted I put a napkin over my face. I told her that napkin would do absolutely nothing, to which she agreed but said it's still required for the "safety of the guests." Mind you, it's an empty store, and if the napkin does nothing, how would that be keeping anyone safe? I told her I would take my business elsewhere, that I'm not putting a napkin over my face to give them my money. If you're also fed up with the nonsense, don't go here. read more

Great American cookie houses one of my favorite cookies of all time, the sugar cookie. I have tried most of them but always choose the sugar cookie! There is something sweet but salty about it simultaneously and this combination is just deadly to me. This place is a great option if you are at any mall shopping and want something sweet. The set up is typical and almost always employs young high school kids. This can be hit or miss as some of them have not mastered the importance of courteous customer service.But this is a quick transaction so all that really doesnt matter. A cookie and drink will set you back an ave $4 so do be careful if you have kids before you approach this counter. Overall, this place will curb your sweet tooth at the mall but definitely don't drive out of your way. read more

It tasted amazing too, especially for the occasion. The Cookie Co's policy on coupons, however, is pretty silly. I had one for a free cookie with purchase of a cookie. Um, i just bought a gigantic cookie, you'd think that qualifies, but no. So I had to buy a small cookie to get the free cookie that brought this location to mind in the first place. I know it isn't this location's fault, but still, not the best practice. I spent ~$30 on a gigantic cookie, i think the least they could have done was give me the small one that i had a "free cookie with cookie purchase" coupon for. read more
