For this weeks Sunday fun day, we decided to get some ice cream at cold stone. Each time I drove by this location I was under the impression that it was constantly packed so I didn't bother trying to go. But it turns out, their Covid protocols requires that they don't let folks in the creamery but they take orders at a makeshift window. The line moved quickly and the ice cream was great just as I remembered it to be, since I haven't had cold stone in a year. I love Cold Stone and the franchise is typically consistent. To review during Covid-19 is challenging because the businesses are all trying to figure it out themselves. With that said, it appeared that this Cold Stone took the proper precautions by not having anyone enter the store, you could order outside, must wear your mask, and there's "social distancing" signs on the floor for customers to follow. I found an old cold stone gift card in my car and decided to go get some ice cream with it. Diane saw my eyeing the cakes and pre made ice cream and made me aware that each quart is $7, but if I get two it's $10 before taxes. Decided to get that as its best value! I got two of the founders favorite quarts. Once I got home I opened one up scooped out some ice cream and found there to be little to no pecans in this batch. I opened the next one and from the top it appears to be the same! I hope the manager sees this review and offers me something on the house and reviews portions of each topping. I tasted a lot of brownie, very little but. So I put a handful of mixed nuts I had from Costco. Was very exited and let down because of this. I love Coldstone. I will never return to this location. The all seeming under legal voting age attendants looked nothing less than utterly dismayed and disgusted that a family of six came over on a Saturday night to celebrate. They assigned our entire group to the least enthused of the bunch which resulted in some of us being done with our treats before others even had them in hand. Their tip songs were equally as apathetic and painful to listen to. I can forgive almost anything if done with a positive and welcoming attitude. But a lousy attitude ruins even the best of products.
