This place is located in the heart of Chinatown. And also, in my opinion, a must try if you come to the city of Philadelphia. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by the staff, who answered any questions that we had about the menu. It's Self Seating, so you just have to find a seat and wait for your ice cream to be rolled. The ice cream rolling doesn't take too long. We were served right away. The vibe of Place was great, very welcoming . If we're ever back in the city, we'll definitely be back here again!

I have been a fan of this place for years now. I have even gone out of my way to go into the city just to have a birthday treat! They know how to do rolled ice cream, obviously, but the flavor selections are really diverse and delicious. I keep meaning to try the tropical Miami mango one but I can't stop ordering the "Bankok" thai iced tea flavor with coconut and strawberries as a topping. If I'm hungry I'll add bananas too. I have never seen another place with that flavor for ice cream. There is a smattering of seating, can probably fit about 30 people if you squeeze in and get a chair. If it's nice out, you can just take a stroll if you find yourself there on a crowded day. There's a fantastic resin fish sculpture in the window that I like to look at. I don't know why but I really like to see it every time!

Frozen Rolled Ice Cream is exactly what you'd crave on a hot summer's day- big portion of ice cream, with up to 3 toppings. --- Although it's not the cheapest option in terms of ice cream, Frozen Rolled Ice Cream in Chinatown knows what it's doing! With its vast selection of flavors and toppings to choose from, there's enough variations that'll make any kid and adult happy. Nothing too complicated, just pick the ice cream from the menu and choose up to 3 toppings. Then, they roll the ice cream in front of you and "chop" in the toppings as they're rolling. If you have any allergies, I'm not sure how well they clean the cold plates between orders. The restaurant has free WiFi, many seating tables to choose from, and it was very quiet. If I remember correctly, there are steps up into the store, just as a note for anyone with mobility issues. Our ice cream was ready in 5 minutes (but this would depend on the line) and I was happy with my cup! Overall, I recommend in case you're craving some quick ice cream in Chinatown!
This place was packed on a soaking wet rainy night, it is popular for a reason! They have a lot of options but it's pretty simple like most ice cream spots- you can get a flavor roll with toppings combo or you can make your own. Mine was pretty easy to make- the strawberry plus sweetened milk, graham cracker, and pecans. Even when full they have the routine down to a science and the only slow downs are customers who can't figure out their order or who keep arguing with their kids. My order was made and ready in less than 10 minutes, with a great serving of ice cream to enjoy. There's some seating inside and it turns over pretty quickly but you may find it easier to grab and go. If you want a sweet treat that's not just another ice cream cone, definitely check this place out.

Honestly probably the most delicious rolled ice cream I've ever had! The bad was creamy and perfect t and the fruit was sweet as well. The workers were very nice and quick and the shop was very cute and small. Be careful though there often really long lines. Definitely reccomend!
Great prices and great value! This definitely hits the spot on a hot day! They have lots of options for ice cream bases and toppings as well. Very clean and spacious store. My favorite was the chunky monkey, but I would go again to try the other flavors
It's really the variety here that I haven't seen at any other place. I have never had the option of Jasmine Tea rolled ice cream before. JASMINE TEA. And it genuinely tasted like jasmine tea. There's a huge menu of their pre-created items that you can then add more toppings to. I love that they set the foundation for you (in the form of an ice cream flavor AND some toppings) that then set the stage for you to make it your own. I added condensed milk, coconut flakes, and strawberries to mine and loved it. I will say that it was less creamy and more icy than I would have liked it to be, so maybe just a little too long on that magic ice cold frozen pad. I also found that there was less ice cream than usual in this little cup. I'm not sure why because I'm sure it's standardized, but I just wasn't sure if the cup I got was worth the $7-8 that it was. The ice cream was still perfectly enjoyable, though, and I savored each bite.
Ehh. It wasn't impressive I ordered s'mores and my friend ordered oreo i love chocolate flavor so i always pick that one but this one, I barely tasted chocolate flavor. It was the worst chocolate I've ever had in fact. And its $7 ? Not worth it. I rather go to the store and buy processed commercial ice cream with cheaper cost.
Came here while walking down China Town in Philadelphia on a very hot, humid day. We ended up grabbing two mango-banana smoothie's and it was amazing. Very very good. While there, there was a steady line of people getting their rolled ice cream. For those not in the know, there is a freezing cold plate. You select your ice cream and the ice cream concoction is poured onto the freezing cold plate. The ice cream "cook" (no idea what the official title is)... Will swirl your ice cream on the frozen plate. Almost like when you see a crepe being made. As the ice cream "cream" continues to be swirled and mixed together on the plate, it gets harder and more dense. Ultimately, it's pressed very thin on the plate and "scraped" into rolls. Really cool idea. The price for the smoothie was $5.75 each for a single size (large) and we felt it was a very good price and a very big large. Next visit back, we'll definitely give the the ice cream a shot.
If you have never tried rolled icecream, you will have to try it. My husband and I split the chocolate cheesecake. You could get three toppings. We picked pecans, chocolate chips and chocolate syrup. Just FYI, it did taste like it had coconut in it which was a surprise. I wish I had known. I would have chosen another flavor. I did like that they had a wide assortment of flavors. Next time I will have to try the S'more. My four rating is for the good service I received.

Second time getting the Avocuddle (which has avocado and condensed milk) and this time I got Strawberries, Bananas and Coconut Flakes as toppings. The combo of avocado, condensed milk with fresh fruit and coconut flakes is truly one of my favorite rolled ice cream flavors of all time! I also noticed they use very good quality fruits - both the bananas and strawberries were sweet and very fresh. read more

Honestly delish. Great on a hot day. Cools you off. Made right in front of you, super fast. You can add 3 toppings to the ice cream no extra charge. Chunky Monkey was too much banana flavor but still good. Highly recommend strawberry shortcake. The fresh fruit and ice cream was a great pair. LOL. Came here after getting dinner in Chinatown. The store was very busy but service was quick. The ice cream was very thick and creamy! And, it was exciting to watch the employees roll your ice cream in front of you. Would come again with friends! read more
The place was vibing to some throwback pop jams, and I felt the excitement surging in me the moment I stepped in. It's been a minute since I had rolled ice cream. However, that feeling quickly dropped when I realized they didn't have mochi. When asked if they had gummy bears instead, they said they only had sour gummy worms. Why write gummy bears then? And it was interesting they were out of those on a Monday morning. Nonetheless, we ordered the Bangkok with choice of 3 add-on toppings ($7). You can watch them make it through the window, and it comes out beautifully presented. The Thai ice cream was subtle. It was hard to taste the flavor, maybe because of the coldness, but I think it was just also pretty bland in general. The flavor could have been more rich. The ice cream also fell like shavings, as it wasn't very creamy/ice cream-like. Overall, not the best I had, and it is unfortunate they ran out of my go-to toppings so quickly but I appreciate the offer of this dessert option in the area. read more

I have never had rolled ice cream this was the first time i went it was very good i got a fruity flavor so it did have chunks in it but other then that i enjoyed it. it was very clean and the service was great parking was very hard but it worked out hope this helped!! read more

Frozen Rolled Ice Cream was decent ice cream. I wanted to try rolled ice cream for the novelty of it, but nothing more than a novelty. The ice cream tasted realistically like cheese cake and not much like Oreo. I felt like it wasn't much ice cream and the quality wasn't great for $7. I wouldn't come back. read more
Definitely a great experience for not too high of a cost. It was a lot of fun seeing the ice cream being rolled up and served, stuffed with your choice of toppings. Really enjoyed the variety of flavors on the menu and how quickly they got the ice cream to you. The ice cream was creamy which was great and there was a decent amount of seating. read more

The BEST rolled ice cream in the area. I always make sure to stop by during my short trips to Philly ever since I found this gem 3 years ago. The ice cream never disappoints - if anything, somehow it gets better every time. I highly recommend the Black Valentine flavor (oreo and strawberry base), which is my go-to order. As for your 3 included toppings, I usually choose pocky, oreos, and strawberries. The ice cream rolls are neat and well-made, so the staff members seem to have experience. Such a refreshing, absolutely delicious treat for $7. Just come - you won't regret giving this one a try! read more

It's rolled ice cream come on now. We love the milk flavor. It's consistent when we get the same thing. It's unique and there for I love it. Rolled ice cream is up and coming but this spot has been around. I love going the hrs are long and no matter how many people are here it just is an experience getting rolled ice cream. We love the milk flavor. The milk flavor seams to give all the other things added more pure flavor. I got mint, I also added chocolate chips and chocolate syrup. It's consistent we know the quality we are getting and it's always good. It doesn't matter if we are on south street or the other location on arch it's tasted. read more
Was able to find a coconut milk base ice cream here, so my vegan friends could join in on the trend! This was my first time trying rolled ice cream, as I usually don't see a dairy free option on the menu. This time, I loaded up with oreos, strawberries, a marshmallow, and a mini-raspberry macaron and it was a great combination. The process is cool to watch, and the place is comfy enough that people were there on a rainy Sunday night. No line, unlike the other places I've passed by in the city with this stuff, and the dairy free rolls came out looking just the same as the ones with milk in them, so I was impressed. Will be back if I ever walk through Chinatown and need a sweet treat! Boba is nice, but this was fun to find nearby. read more

A bit pricey, but worth it when it's summer and you are craving ice cream. I ordered the frozen green tea and topped with banana, blueberry and pocky. My friend ordered the snicker doodle ice cream topped with caramel sauce, Oreo, and pocky. We both agreed my green tea ice cream tasted better, but she picked the better toppings. Very clean and spacious inside. Even on a busy night service was fairly fast. I definitely plan on coming back and trying some of their other flavors! read more

The ice cream was above average and came with a selection of toppings including different type of pocky sticks and a wide variety for fruits. There's a lot of options and food didn't take too long. However, this is a small space with not a lot of seating available. read more
