The first employee responded with aa smug attitude comment along the lines of, "Well then, she's never going to order because we're busy," and they both started laughing and continued making comments about me in Spanish. Eventually, one of them came over and asked what I wanted to order. That's when I responded in Spanish and gave her my order. The look on her face immediately changed. She clearly had not expected me to understand Spanish, and the other employee stopped what she was doing and looked over as well. Suddenly, it was very obvious that they realized I had understood what they were saying the entire time. I think she even bypassed the tip option when charging me. She walked away before I finished and I asked for my receipt and she said I'll give it to you right now but never did. It was incredibly uncomfortable and disrespectful. I was actually trying to be patient and considerate because I could see they were busy, and somehow that became something for the employees to mock and laugh about. What bothered me most was thinking about how comfortable they were talking about a customer right in front of them simply because they assumed I couldn't understand Spanish. It makes me wonder what they say about customers who actually don't understand them. I left feeling judged, disrespected, and completely unwelcome. I will definitely not be returning, and based on this experience, I would not recommend this business to others. Customers should be treated with respect regardless of what language employees assume they do or don't understand.

What began as a discussion about a product concern quickly became focused on a employee instead of the issue itself. The manager appeared to become frustrated, stated to understand the main concern, yet responded with an unnecessarily intense tone and level of defensiveness. There was considerable deflection, repetition, and what felt like half-truths rather than a sincere effort to work toward a mutual solution. The manager should remember that they represent the Root of Happiness brand. We have been patronizing Root of Happiness for at least 10 years, long before the owners expanded to the Roseville, Midtown, and Rocklin locations. Additionally, over the last few weeks, the Justin's Peanut Butter Cups have seemed unusually dry. It may be the result of a bad batch from the vendor or the effects of extreme weather conditions impacting the product's quality.

Hello! My experience at cold stone creamy was absolutely magical as the workers Sergio and Laura were the most sweet kindred spirits who were joyful working at their jobs and helped me and my friend wholeheartedly. Although, the pictures inside the store very outdated and I would really enjoy seeing an employee working there on the walls. Specifically, the picture of the girl on the menu should be removed and maybe make it an employee of the month type of thing! I would really enjoy seeing real people who work there. My husband raised the color issue in-store and was given $10 off a $25 cake. However, when I later called about the incorrect flavor (which is a separate issue), the manager said nothing further could be done because of the $10 already given. I understand minor color differences can happen, but receiving the wrong cake flavor feels like an incorrect order, not just a cosmetic issue.
