I've been a customer with Sugar Sweetery for years now and have had the pleasure of enjoying many of their treats. I've ordered custom cookies for a birthday, and they turned out better than expected. I was able to give them some ideas and let them get creative with the theme. I've also taken multiple cookie decorating classes, and they make them so fun and approachable. We definitely did a better job than we expected, and since they make the cookies and icing for you they're always delicious. I love the different themes they come up with throughout the year. Some classes can fill up quickly, so check out their social and website for the latest offerings. Sugar Sweetery also pops up at a lot of events, and through these pop ups I've tried cookies, macarons, oatmeal cream pies, cupcakes, cake pops, caramel apples, and more. Yelp had an event and gave sugar cookies with the Yelp logo as part of their event. The cookies were accurate to design, and it is what you would expect of a classic kind of sugar cookie. It was deliciously moist and fluffy... we were limited to one mini cupcake each, can I have one more, please? LoL! Mmm so decadent and flavorful. My daughter purchased the POG macarons. The pieces were larger than the normal size and I think there were three macarons in a package. I couldn't tell, she didn't share LoL! This review is specifically for yesterday's Yelp Elite Event in honor of Women's History Month at Valensin Vineyard & Winery (Sunday, 3/24/24)! As a Yelp Elite member, I was able to receive free samples of items from pop-up shops that were present at the event! All of these shops were women-owned as well. Sugar Sweetery gave me a pink lip sugar cookie sample. I also wanted to support their business, so I chose one of their cute little cheesecakes! Justine and Candace were the sweetest (pun intended) people and it was a pleasure to chat with them about their business and goodies. It wasn't until I checked out their Instagram page that I realized that they had been featured on Food Network! That cheesecake though--it was decadent, creamy, and everything I've always wanted when enjoying a cheesecake!! The crust on the bottom was soft and chewy while the filling was so rich and the perfect consistency. The lemon topping was tart and citrusy, and juxtaposed the richness of the cheesecake itself. My husband and I shared the cheesecake and it was the best afternoon snack in between sips of wine. I would highly recommend Sugar Sweetery for all of your baked goods needs and can't wait to other items that they offer! I wanted to order custom cookies for my daughter's high school graduation and Sugar Sweetery did not disappoint! I submitted an inquiry online and Candice got back to me in a timely manner. I explained what I wanted and showed her some examples. We settled on a few designs and colors and a date for pick up. I was soooo happy and excited when I picked up the cookies because they were decorated well and pretty close to what we wanted. And they were delicious! So many people at the grad party said they really enjoyed that the cookies were soft and the frosting gave the right amount of sweetness. Although there was a mix up with pick up time, Candice was quick to fix it. The pick up process was easy and went smoothly. The cake we ordered for my daughter's 2nd birthday came out exactly as I had imagined and tasted beyond belief! My sister is still talking about how good it was over a month later. Justine taught a cookie decorating class for a group of our friends, and it was absolutely wonderful! How she teaches is so helpful, I have so many more techniques to apply! She's fantastic at answering questions and making decorating fun! Justine made custom cookies and icing colors for our request to learn Christmas cookies. Owned by a local family, Sugar Sweetery has the quality to be a major bakery! Custom cakes and cookies, and occasional treat days (usually with a theme) where you can select various desserts and pick up later that week. We love them for special occasions and special treats. I got the chance to try this places cookies at a yelp event the other day and I'm definitely considering for my next special occasion. This place does custom cakes, cookies, and more I bet.
