I have never had a worse experience at an ice cream place or just any establishment overall. We walked in and asked the girl behind the counter if we could use the buy one get one reward in person or if we had to order through the app, we were told we could use it in person, so we went ahead and ordered; we went to pay and the same girl who had told us we could use the reward said she couldn't process it - mind you, cold stone is around $10 for a small cup which is incredibly expensive as is, so we would've much rather support a small business but we had the reward -, we then told her we'd try to use the app to buy it and she said we couldn't do that, so another worker came and asked us to put the phone number in again, which we did, and nothing happened, she also said there was nothing she could do. We returned the ice creams because we refused to pay for something we had been told was going to be a different price. There was nothing resolution on the workers' end - I understand they're kids, they seemed around 16-17, but there was no manager on site that could aid them -. I urge you to not go to this cold stone location if you'll be using any sort of reward through their system. read more

This isn't usually my go to place for ice cream but once in a while I do go. This most recent trip was pleasant. Our orders were done accurately and quickly. Their prices are the culprit of why I don't come to this creamery as often. Just for a small size cup 1 flavor & 1 topping it's approx $6.00. Came by after dinner nearby to get a fix of cheesecake ice cream. The line for a 75 degree Sunday night was pretty long. Only two workers and we ended up waiting about 35 mins just for ice cream. We considered leaving but we had been waiting so long that we just committed to staying. Well worth it. Got the "like it" of cheesecake ice cream with a brownie in it. They overloaded it so I could barely even finish it. I also got my dogs two small dog treats which they basically swallowed whole from how much they enjoyed it. I came to collect my pick up order, it was supposed to be ready at 07:35. I was at the register around 08:00p.m. and was asked by the lady attendant if I was here for pick up. I said yes, then she went back to continue making the customers order that was in front of her. A male attendant returned and started working on the second set of customers. The lady then cashed out her customers and then immediately went to help other customers that had just come in. At that point I had been waiting for 15 mins. I expressed that fact to the lady attendant, she argued that since other customers came into the store, they took precedent, over my already paid for order. I wish I could go lower than one star as I never even got my order and had to walk out! I've never had a worse experience at an ice cream spot. I am well aware at how entilitled and non important this issue is, but I hope I can spare someone the aggravation they are almost certainly going to get by entering this store. First off, the woman that worked there was not only rude and inconsiderate, but more importantly did not care that a customer had a potentially risky allergy. I don't have the bandwidth to fully explain what happened, but essentially the waitress got my order wrong and then berrated me/told me I would have to pay for it. On top of that, she told my wife she wouldn't honor the buy one guy one free birthday coupon because of the previous mix up. If at all possible, I would avoid taking your family (like I said I was taking my wife and kids there for her birthday) to the Rockaway Coldstone, and if you HAVE to, make sure you don't go with any allergies, as the store does not care or make accommodations. read more

Incredibly disappointed in first time experience in here. Josie, the girl who helped us couldn't even be bothered to acknowledge us with a hello or how are you today when walking in. On top of that, we bought quite a bit of their chocolate pastries and we didn't realize it until after we walked out due to what happened with her at the register. For example, we asked for 4 chocolate graham crackers and 2 Java Toffee crackers and we only got ONE OF EACH as opposed to the amount we wanted. She also almost forgot to give us a chocolate apple as well. We also received a pastry we didn't ask for or all the truffle flavors we requested. Disappointing. She got our phone number wrong at the register when asking if we wanted to enroll in their rewards program and we said sure. She didnt even attempt to rectify it and said she couldnt do anything to fix the phone number meaning we would have to remember not to remember our own phone number. I've worked with six POS systems and I asked her if she could just void and restart the order(literally takes a minute..not even..) she called the manager over and gave a huge attitude and tone of voice when telling her manager, "Is there a way we can JUST. VOID. THE. WHOLE. ORDER" and gave the nastiest, snippiest tone of voice. Like, CHILD, you chose this job, it is up to you to make goodness out of your day and go with peace and balance in your life. After coming in Sunday Night I was horrified by the amount of stress I saw the young girl under. After coming into the store I immediately was greeted by an older man (I presume her boss) yelling at the poor girl and verbally harassing her over something I was too late to overhear. After returning from the back of the store she greeted me with tears in her eyes still trying to maintain a smile while taking mine and my boyfriend's order. Even while ordering it was evident she was doing her best not to completely break down an I even caught her wiping tears away when returning back to help us. After ringing us up still seeming upset while her boss did nothing but sit around evidently on his phone, she still maintained a calm and sweet composure. I genuinely had to slip her a five and tell her to keep it for herself because of how horrible I felt for this teenage worker. I was appalled at the lack of respect and treatment given by her authorities and based off this experience alone it is safe to say I won't be returning. The management seems horrible and disgraceful and whenever I do come in it's clearly being ran by numerous teenagers with the most polite attitude. People like this man should be appalled and reflect on his own personal actions before directly harassing a young employee to the point of tears especially in front of innocent customers. read more

I always have good experiences. I was greeted with a smile. The young lady helping me at some point saw a friend and stopped me mid order to greet her. However, once she refocused her attention, things flowed smoothly from that point forward. My ice cream is always on point. I always get the size 'like it' mudpie mojo inside a waffle cone or bowl. It never disappoints. My daughter had a kid size ice cream. It was the smallest single scoop she's ever had here. I really think it depends the staff. Some staff are more generous than others. Overall we enjoyed our ice cream. We always experience good customer service. We'll be back! read more

I had a terrible experience, came in here with my two friends and the manager on duty was so rude...the lovely worker was helping my friends and I, immediately asked if we wanted our ice cream to-go and we said yes. She began ringing up my friend while the other worker finished up a transaction and asked me for my order. I told him and he made my ice cream except it wasn't to-go so, I simply asked if I could have it with a lid. The worker says yes and I begin to hand him my ice cream. At this point, the manager rudely steps in and says "take the ice cream from her..." grabs my order out of my hand and annoyingly makes my ice cream to-go...and then says to the worker "they really should tell you before..." which was so annoying because I DID... I really wish I could give zero starts. I've been to this particular franchise many times and have not had an issue. During my last visit I came with the family and bought 4 large ice creams and the quantity received was much less than in the past. The biggest issue in the past was getting the caps to fit and this is how it should be. The owner responded to me and said that she fired the previous staff for giving too much ice cream. However, what I received is far from what is pictured in the store or on the web site. Why have a domed cap if a flat cap would do? I don't mind paying more for good ice cream but if you are going to reduce the quantity out of the blue its just not worth it. Please go elsewhere and avoid this place at all costs. read more

We stopped in prior to hitting up the movies as my fat jeans insisted upon something sweet prior to sitting through a movie. It's conveniently located about a minute away from the mall/theater. So what has changed? Well what hasn't changed is that they make pretty darn good ice cream concoctions. Mix, match, through the kitchen sink in there...go ahead! I went with one of their signature creations: The Pie Who Loved Me (Surprise! It contained graham cracker). Yummy...drooling thinking about it. Horrible customer service ever! On 11/12/20 ordered & paid for a cake over the phone. The cake was for my son's birthday party that was scheduled on Saturday. I scheduled to pick up the cake 11/14/20 at 4pm . On 11/14 I went to pickup the cake around 6:30pm, I was told that someone already picked up my cake. I checked with a family member to confirm if she picked up the cake she said no. I explained to the coldstone associate that I paid for the cake & no one would have picked up the cake without my consent. I showed the associate my receipt, but she refused to help me & accused me of trying to get another cake for free. I was very upset that she was accusing me of being deceitful and trying to get another cake for free. The associate was very rude & she made a racist comment. I asked to speak to a manager she told me she was the manager & the owner. I requested my money back since the cake was gone. She told me no & that she would get in touch with her staff member that took care of the order. She tried to contact her staff member but he didn't respond. I explained to her that her staff member had to have made a mistake and its no way I'm going to pay for a cake that I don't have. She ruined my son's birthday party, I had to go to Wharton shoprite to purchase a Carvel cake. I've been a loyal customer of coldstone & have purchased about 3 to 4 cakes a year.
