Don't really get all the negative reviews, we stop by once a month for ice cream as it's quite near our house. The kids behind the counters always get the line moving pretty rapidly and the store is always cleaned up when we come by. Got a gotta love it waffle bowl with cheesecake and strawberries with vanilla wafers last night. The guy who we see the most often is always great and waits on me and the significant other debating over what we want. I was so incredibly disappointed when I ordered a custom made ice cream through them this recent Friday. I shared this photo what I wanted the cake to look like with a beach theme and with the writing "The bombshell has turned 23" I had high hopes & I ended up removing the icing on the cake myself after I got the cake. "The bombshell" was barely readable. The middle part in the cake was so random- I believe it was an attempted "water fountain". Ok..ok...so there's a lot of construction going on in this area. But we had a last minute emergency and needed an icecream cake for my nephews 8th birthday . Called them last minute and they were so patient with me as I kept changing the cake flavor. After all was done, I paid for the cake and left. I had my daughter return after 1pm, same day, as advised to pick up the cake. She was in and out quickly,with friendly service. This place always smells so good makes my tummy grumble. The ice cream quality, wait time, and customer service was not worth the trip. I will gladly pick other ice cream stores that have their stuff together. I wanted to order some mint chocolate chip ice cream, but they were out of... SIX ice cream base flavors. Really didn't have many options from the get-go. I went with the Cheesecake Fantasy. It's made of cheesecake flavored ice cream, graham cracker chunks, and frozen strawberry and blueberry pieces. I don't know why, but the texture that ice cream is supposed to have was not there. My ice cream was served already melting and dripping. The AC was on high in the store and this was in the evening. The rate at which my ice cream melted was unpleasant, and the fact that it was mixed and served immediately (it wasn't sitting around for a while) AND it was already melting was quite concerning. I have never seen any ice cream melt so quickly in my life and I was indoors in the evening with the AC on. The frozen strawberries were SO sour! :( Also, my company ordered some ice cream in a chocolate waffle cone. We were rang up and then the staff member went ahead and rang up a different customer on the machine right next before completing our transaction. We had to get our order brought up on the cash register again after waiting for people who came and ordered after us served first (what the?). We paid, and I got my ice cream after waiting for a bit because they ran out of an ingredient while making the mixture. My company's order never came, so we inquired about it. Turns out, nobody made the second ice cream creation for us - back to the waiting game. It was served in a regular waffle cone and we had paid extra and asked for the chocolate waffle cone. Boo! We were helped by Cassandra. She was very nice and cheerful. So that was great experience. BUT... She didn't wear any gloves while she scooped our ice cream, while she mixed the ice cream. She used her bare hands. That's so gross. She grabbed the waffle cones with her bare hands. When she rang up my friend for the ice cream she sucked her index finger. In front of us. Gross. Did she want to taste the cheesecake ice cream we just bought? Lol. So gross. Management needs to make sure people use gloves and aren't sucking their fingers at the cash register. Super gross. I hope she washed her hands at some point during the day. I saw the reviews for this location and have been avoiding it, but my friend and I decided out of convenience to give it a shot. Lesson learned. You're better off to avoid this location and get to your nearest Harmon's, buy your favorite ice cream and serve it yourself. This review is for this store and not the company, as I absolutely adore Coldstone. I ordered curbside during COVID and stepped inside to pay. While the young employee was indeed wearing gloves- which, by the looks of these reviews, is an improvement- she then touched her face with the glove hand while serving me. So cleanliness and hygiene, especially during a world pandemic, are still ignored here. Not sure why the owner or manager refuses to put adult supervision in here despite all the reviews? I ordered an ice cream cake for my daughter's graduation From the Jordan Landing location. We set the pick up time for 6/3 at 4:30pm. So we could pick it up on our way home. Well, got a phone call on 6/2 at 7pm stating " we are going to need you to pick up the ice cream cake tonigh. We don't know if we will be open tomorrow." This is review is for this specific location, and not for the company or it's product in general. My husband and I had come in (following a customer in front of us) a 9:50. We understand that the store closes at 10. However, the employee there was serving the younger girl who had come in at the same time. We were up at the counter & the employee told us that he was closed and that she was the last customer. There were about 4-5 other kids his age, in the store; his friends, I'm assuming. They were all hanging out. My husband and I didn't cause a scene at the store, and just walked out. But we were pretty upset. He had clearly kicked us out so he could hang out with his friends & not to work. I get he wanted to close, I've been a teenager working at a retail mall job. They really need to have at least one adult manager in there keeping an eye on things. Went in on a Saturday night, was busy and we waited in line for a while. Lots of "Oh, I thought you said..." as customers were ordering and the workers were getting their orders wrong. A lot of the ice creams were unavailable, a lot of toppings unavailable. I have had multiple negative experiences at this Coldstone. First, I went and the establishment was out of hot fudge which is imperative to my enjoyment of my ice cream, and my friend was a huge bitch to me. The next time I went, the service was extremely slow, they were out of chocolate chips, and they charged me twice and they said my card declined and didn't give me my ice cream! Truly disappointing. If this Coldstone were to be shut down, the word would be a better place. I will be taking my business to Baskin Robbins next time. read more

I was reluctant to try this location because of the reviews, but I'm glad we went. The employees were friendly and polite even though their work environment stinks. It was evening but it was uncomfortably warm inside. Middle of summer and it was almost the same temperature inside as out (if you're a local then you know how hot evenings are in the middle of summer here). Awful Service. We just were visiting, and stopped in for some ice cream tonight, and I wish I was exaggerating when I say we waited 42 min for our ice cream. We walked in and the line was to to the door, and only 2 people making ice cream, so we thought it might take a little longer, and wanted to wait. We then saw a girl in the back just washing dishes. So after about 15 min of not moving much, we went to ask if there was a manager on site, and were told he was the manger, and said the girl in the back needed to be doing those specific dishes, and couldn't help. After watching for a while ( because we had plenty of time) I felt like she was doing unnecessary things, like putting away dishes, or bringing out and cleaning dishes like blender pitcher when there was already 2 clean ones on the counter. I am fine to wait, and be patient if I can see the workers are hustling, or there is a sense of urgency, but there was none of that, not from the workers, or even the manager, and it was extremely frustrating. We even saw one of the workers go try and hide in the back and get on his phone and take a long slow drink while it was that busy. We wont ever be returning to this location, the ice cream is not worth it. read more

I ordered one of their signature cakes online for my husbands birthday party. Walked in to a completely empty store, purple hair girl mumbles :" welcome to Cold Stone", and runs back to the kitchen...minutes goes by and she just stands there staring at me. Had this location in Sugarhouse cater our daughter's outdoor wedding this summer. They showed up late, were stingy with the toppings, and the ice cream we got was not any where near what we expected for $6.00 a serving . The ice cream came in pre-made cups and they brought them in a igloo cooler with several varieties. We would have done better to do it all ourselves. I agree with the reviewer who said the place is questionable when it comes to cleanliness. We had a lot left over. The guests were extremely disappointed. The parents of the bride were embarrassed. After all that and a nearly $3000 dollar bill the guy had the nerve to ask for a tip. We are never going to do this again with this outfit. read more
