"Gross!" yelled our 14 year old niece as she lifted a spoon out of her soft ice cream and cookie dough, and watched ice cream slowly drip down a long, long hair. I gave her mine which I didn't really want anyway and threw the ice cream with hair in it away. Honestly I usually love cold stone because I grew up around one, but this one is by far the worst, this is my third time having a bad experience here and I've about had it, I was eating my chocolate devotion ice cream when I came across this long black hair tangled up in the brownie mixed in it. Called a week ago asking to order an ice cream cake for our daughter's birthday. She specifically wanted a cold stone cake. The very rude person on the phone said they were too busy to take the order and said we should use their website as it is "more reliable anyway." Red flag #1, I guess. Went to the website, customized the order, prepaid and submitted it that night. Even got a confirmation. Fast forward 6 days. Today... the day I was scheduled to pick it up... I get an email saying our order was canceled and we had to call for an explanation. They said they were short staffed and had been too busy to make the order. I'm just out of luck. No refund offered (nor has one been processed). Barely an apology. And no attempt at any other solution. Just treated like crap. Red flag #2. I'm sorry, but your excuse just doesn't fly. You've had 6 days to prepare one cake. You could have done it before or after hours on any of those days. Your poor management of your business doesn't excuse your failure to deliver on an order. Placed an order for 3 ice creams. Two like it and one love it. The love it was supposed to be "the way the cookie crumbles" with the like it's being "dough for it" and "pumpkin bread". They made the pumpkin the bigger size and all 3 were so sticky and covered in ice cream it went though the pickup bag. I took them back in to be cleaned and have the sizing fixed and the girl there tried saying "the cookie dough ice cream expands so I know it was measured correctly" well if that was true, wouldn't it be in a bigger size, because expanding means bigger? It was in a like it cup when the love it was ordered. She said she was only going to remake the pumpkin in the smaller size. At that point I was just done trying to explain things and took the sticky messes and left. Wish I could go lower then one star. The first night I tried they closed at 4:30 so I went back the next day and they were open. had 5 customers and 4 workers. Two people in front of me and 2 behind me I was in the middle of the line. The girl worker was making waffle bowls some other kid walked back and forth from the register to the back at least 9 time while I was in line looked like a new employee and someone training him. The first was a dad and his kid they got their ice cream I was next in line but they decided to ask the person behind me what they wanted I wasn't ready yet so I wasn't to upset but still thought that's weird. So I figured out what I want wait for them to get done with them and they come back and pick the person behind me again. I felt like I was John Cena for a while because they could not see me. They finished ringing that customer up and then started cleaning up while I'm still standing right infront of the ice cream sections like I was the whole time. After after they cleaned up they finally asked me if I wanted anything. This customer service delivery at this place is atrocious. Stopped by twice in one weekend and encountered the same situation - one staff member lazily working alone while at least one other was back and forth doing unnecessary projects like cakes, etc....all while the lobby was filled with a line of 12+ customers on both days. As our turn came to order, the only girl who was working the front then ignored the waiting customers in favor of removing and consolidating 3 not-even-yet-empty ice cream pans while 10 customers stood there watching her and not being helped. I finally got fed up and when I asked her if she could take our order, she told me that filling these pans took priority over waiting customers. The dirty, unkempt guy with earbuds who was making cakes and who-knows what else didn't even acknowledge that his assistance could be used in the lobby full of guests. Been to one, you been to them all. But thats the beauty of CS locations. Your going to get the same quality every time all the time anywhere you go. This is my staple "go to" locations for sweet treats of an ice cream variety. You can always find something they have that please the palate. Today I got the Vanilla Frozen Yogurt Caramel Crunch which is just what it sounds like with Butterfinger bar, sea salt and caramel sauce added on top. I went all out and got the "Gotta Have It" size in a dipped waffle bowl and OMG was in divine! A must try if it is in fact a limited time creation! Called to order a birthday cake for my daughter. Was told to place the order on line. Received an email the day of the party that the order was cancelled. The staff said "they were short staffed and busy". For an order I place a week in advance I would assume you could staff that. I'd understand if the order was placed a day in advance but over a week? This was the first time at this cold stone. We had the family go out for ice cream after dinner. We went in line waiting for our turn. There were five people there, but only one was helping out our big group. Instead of working as a team to get us out of there bc we in front of the line. They decided to help the next family. So the one poor girl had to take 6 orders by herself one order at a time and by the time my husband and I got our dessert, grandma and the kids were practically done with their dessert. So much for eating together. Why is there a line, when your going to help the other families who where there later. It's not a hard concept, help the family that was in front of the line and work as a team. So the family can actually enjoy their ice cream together. read more

I had a very poor experience last visit with one very rude and impatient employee. It was enough to where I most likely will not return to this store again in the future. I hope this Coldstone can take a good look at customer service and their current employees in how they treat and interact with their customers currently and in the future. This employee was attending to a requested cake order and I felt a vibe instantly, as a customer I felt as if I was a bother to her. She made me feel uncomfortable and argued with my requests for ensuring no cross contamination due to my child's severe peanut allergy. I have been impressed with past Coldstone stores who accommodated this and were at least friendly and non argumentative about it. I went here multiple times. The staff was very friendly. They were flexible with our orders and let is try out samples if asked. The quality of each individual ice cream is top notched, I have been to many places that have great ice cream and this is one of them. What I hate the most is that one of their signature ice cream has chocolate chips and chocolate chips are the worst thing to add to ice cream, first of all you cannot taste it unless it is slightly melted, and second its like chewing on tasteless little pebbles. Whom ever wanted to add it as an option, good on you for more diversity, but shame on you for adding it on one of the signature ice cream combinations! Thank god the ice cream girl was flexible enough to opt it out which is why I am bumping the review from 4 stars to 5. The establishment itself is clean, the ice cream cake selection always has two of different sizes ready to eat, that's a plus. The men's restroom could use some work, but given that every single time I have been there the staff always seems to be female, I understand considering I grew up with four older sisters. My only wish was their reward points do not expire after a certain amount of time. I lost my 5$ off when their establishment by the bremerton ferry moved out, and I could not cash out soon enough. read more

One came out to make their own bowl of ice cream and then went to the back. Another came out to turn off the open sign in his pjs and he looked extremely unkempt. Extremely disappointed in their online ordering. I tried for almost an hour to order my son who is in the Navy his favorite icecream cake on February 6. The website doesn't work, period. I called the restaurant and a very nice young lady offered to take the order but couldn't charge my credit card - meaning my son or daughter in law would have to pay for the cake when they picked it up - a big downer which would ruin the whole birthday affair. Everytime I tried to order, it would find a reason why I couldn't. It would tell me the date and time were wrong, when I was ordering for the next day at 9pm. I tried curbside. I tried delivery. Waited outside in the car 20-30 minutes for our order when the app we were forced to use said 15 mins max, all we were getting was a smoothie and a scoop of ice cream. Once received the icecream was half melted and the strawberries were completely frozen and not even ripe. They must have a different idea of what cheesecake icecream tastes like, because mine did not resemble that in the slightest. The strawberry banana smoothie tasted funky and was really just a banana smoothie. If there were strawberries we couldn't tell. They ran out of smoothie mix and ice, and couldn't seem to communicate anything effectively to us in a timely manner unless we promoted or asked. If they had, we would have gone elsewhere. Also our bag was crawling with ants. I get that it's that season, but make sure you're not giving them to customers. read more

I usually don't make reviews for ice cream especially cold stone we all know that cold stone is good ice cream. The reason why I am making a review on cold stone today is because of the customer interaction that I had with the manager Luke, I ordered a bunch of ice cream online and arrived at the store to pick it up at the specified time. I contacted them after 10 minutes of waiting past that time and then another 10 minutes after that time. After 20 minutes had passed after my specified time, I called the restaurant again to let them know how long I had been waiting and I had to leave and if the order would be done soon. The manager told me it was not ready and they still had to make two shakes, I told him I could not wait any longer and had to leave and requested a refund a few minutes later Luke had called me back and left a voicemail guilting and blaming me about why I left and that his employees had done nothing wrong and my food was ready the entire time. I told him how the food was not ready and how I had heard the associates saying that there were still two shakes to make but he told me that I was being rude and belligerent and that the food was ready the entire time he just did not know and is now denying the request for a refund. The entire phone conversation with Luke was extremely hostile with him Telling me the entire time I was being rude I was not listening to reason that I was completely wrong that I am blaming his associates and that I was impatient and now he has to throw away food even though the food was ready then calling me additional times And letting me know that he will not be giving me a refund because his employees did nothing wrong and I just need to come by and pick up the ice cream I told him I won't be back for many hours into the area and he said this happens all the time it's ice cream. I don't typically go to cold stone to be yelled at. I usually just come here to get ice cream but I don't think I'll be coming to a cold stone again especially not this one the stores mantra should be something like, come for the ice cream, leave because you got harassed by the manager. read more

This place is really going down hill. We had been going to Cold Stone since it had opened in Silverdale. The service was never stellar but it was ok. Unfortunately there has been a steady decline in service quality. Even before the COVID the service was getting bad. Now that you have to order from their app, you can't watch them make your ice cream. Like some of the other reviewers, I've noticed that you pretty much get whatever they give you. My wife gets cotton candy ice cream with gummy bears. When we got it, there was only 5 gummy bears and they were at the bottom of the cup. I get coffee lovers only, this last time there wasn't any caramel, the time before there was barely any almonds. I don't blame the kids who work there, it seems like their leadership just doesn't care. Also if you take a good look around at the store, it really is pretty dirty. read more
