Wow, I'm impressed. I took a quick trip early this morning at 10 am. to Sabateur and I got their last twice baked chocolate almond croissant. WOW, spectacular. It actually tased like the first one I had in Paris, just not warm out of the oven. The nice lady at the counter got me checked out quickly since there was a line out the door behind me. The place was busy with just a counter but no seating at all. I brought it home and ate it since I live near-by. I'm just happy I made it in time to get what I wanted before they ran out. This is an experience I must enjoy again soon, maybe next week.

This bakery is incredible. Great but limited service and no space to dine in but I think that their scones, Danish, and croissants are worth going out of your way to come and try. There was a bit of a line when we visited but it didn't take too long or anything and I recommend coming here for the open run to make sure you get in before they run out of the pastries. Egg Danish is absolutely amazing. A must try. Their scones don't really taste like typical scones (they taste and feel a bit more like biscuits) but I really liked the two that I got to try.

Small standing room only bakery with a delicious assortment of breads! I came specifically for the Egg Danish because the photos and reviews of it were great and they did not disappoint!!! It was delicious!! I normally see a line when I pass by, that's always a good indicator to me. The staff were not overly friendly but nice enough and seemed really busy. The place was cute, definitely a buy and leave spot as there were no tables. I will be coming back to try their other goods!

Time for an update since it's been over 8 years! Definitely this is a five star established spot in Bremerton's Manette District. Pro Tip: Arrive as close to opening time as possible. Fresh product does sell out well in advance, often within the first two hours. My previous visit was back in March 2016 when it was located on 4th. What piqued my interest was the baguette served at Lola's on 2/3/24. So this post is for three of four successful visits on: 4/28/24, 5/5/24, and 5/19/24. No luck on 5/12/24 Mother's Day - stood in a long line only to reach third to the doorway and all product was sold out. No surprise there. Don't be apprehensive when seeing a line upon arriving. Their counter staff are expedient in getting product packaged and completing your transaction. I have made the trek from the 0755 Edmonds-Kingston ferry driving all the way to Saboteur Bakery before visiting family with the tasty haul. Collective purchases have included the following baked items: egg danish, classic croissant, pain au chocolat, raspberry custard brioche, apple almond danish, ham and cheese croissant, lemon ginger scone, Long John, coconut tropiezienne, and baguettes. I still need to check out the almond croissant and the financier. What stands out for me - the freshness with that signature scent wafting from the speed rack! The lamination of the pastries. The flavors are also on point, nothing comes across as cloying or artificial stuff from a tub. Terrific destination - highly recommended!

Continuing my food tour of the PNW, Saboteur Bakery has been coined the best bakery in the Kingston Area. It is tucked away in a small shop in Bremerton downtown. I was skeptical because I am a little bit of bakery connoisseur. I was not disappointed by the expectations that were set for me. This bakery was popping when I arrived due to heavy foot traffic. The almond croissant was literally warm when I purchased it. The frangipane onto was perfectly crisped and topped with the toasted almonds was balanced with the soft inside filling. The pear brioche danish was just as good because the crackling on the sides also matched with the soft inside to give the pastry texture. Both of the pastries were well worth the drive and I would be willing to go again. The reason that I took one star off is because I was slightly disappointed with the choice of pastries. I had heard that weekly there is a special bakery item that they keep in the fridge (this is only available on the weekends). I was disappointed that there was no way that I could have known in advance to drive there on Saturday instead of Friday. Maybe I am not aware of something that locals are?

A gem hidden in a small street in Bremerton! Very small place. No seating. You walk in and order. That's it! Non descript building that brings u get fresh pastries early in the morning. I got Brioche with custard, a Long John, and a Twice baked chocolate pastry. All amazing! A bit pricey... Almost $7 each. But worth a try! I will definitely be back when I'm in town!

    Get yourself one of these!

This is a small bakery with limited hours and even more limited supply so come early and get everything you want to try because I guarantee they sell out of everything after 2 hours of just opening! 2 words, Egg Danish!! If a croissant, egg, green onion bun and fresh herbs had a party it would be this egg Danish! I cannot stress enough how mouthwatering and savory and perfect this one item is! I usually have my sister get me a almond croissant but I've been missing out! The egg Danish is hands down the pièce de résistance imo. Service is quick, I don't recall seeing anywhere to sit, its more of a grab and go but the staff are friendly, and the goods are amazing! Come here and come early, they are worth it!

HOLY MOLY! Saboteur is absolutely worth the visit! I drove 2 hours to get a few pastries and would do it again every weekend if I could! No joke. Each pastry is perfectly crafted. Words cannot describe the perfection of each of these delicious, essential pastries. Today, I tried the Pistachio Tropézienne. What a delightful, light, airy pastry. Heavenly! I enjoyed my pastry outside on a picnic table in the sunshine. As people passed by, I smiled, covered in powdered sugar but I DNGAF. I was in my happy place. I cannot wait to go back. I am obsessed with Sabotuer!

This is the best bakery in PNW. I don't know the names of all the things I bought but it doesn't matter, because it was all SO GOOD. They also have stumptown coffee. Extra points for that. I wish I had more pictures but this time, the camera did not eat first. Ambiance: take out only with a small bar by the window to stuff your face with pastries while standing. Service: friendly and quick

Both the Long John and Puffer were super old and stale, maybe 1 to 2 days old. Had to toss both of them after one bite. I was told the Gau was made on Tuesday night, which makes it 3 days old now. I even tried putting the items in the microwave (per the owner's advice) for 15 seconds and it still didn't taste good. I've honestly never been told by any bakery to go home and put their donuts and pastries in the microwave ‍ Why would a bakery even sell 1 to 3 day old items? Just donate them to the homeless or something BUT don't sell them for full price to your customers! I mean come on... I even reached out to the owner via Instagram and she came at me with all the excuses saying things like "I am sorry you're not happy with your purchase" and "I really don't know what you would like to do here." I tried a blueberry streusel muffin- didn't care for it, seemed dry and lacked blueberries. The muffin itself had a yellow cake like batter and the streusel lacked sweetness or flavor.
