We stopped in yesterday after wanting to try the Coffee Lovers for a while. So I knew what I wanted from the start. The Coffee Lovers Only has coffee ice cream, with caramel, almonds, and Heath pieces. It was delicious!! Jason ordered a strawberry blonde; strawberry ice cream with caramel, strawberries, whip cream, & graham crackers. The sizes are cute: like it, love it, and gotta have it. The girl helping us was really nice and helpful. She told us about the Aquaman promotion when I tasted the blue velvet cake! Will be back! Yum!

What a cute little Midwest staple! A must stop if you're driving through STL or visiting! I love…read morethat it sits on Route 66 and feels like a step back in time (in the best way possible). There's a cute little gift shop next door if you're looking for some St. Louis souvenirs, too. Ordering feels a bit chaotic, but it's part of the ambiance. Everyone is friendly and the staff is efficient and seemed to be adequately staffed for the long lines. Don't get intimidated by the chaos outside, they move pretty quick and the custard is so good! My favorite treat is the mocha and chocolate concrete, but I've tried a couple of flavors and none have disappointed.

Visited Ted Drewes Frozen Custard during a weekend trip to St. Louis after seeing it all over…read moreInstagram. It definitely lives up to the hype in terms of popularity--the place was packed even at 10:30 PM, but the line moved quickly thanks to their efficient service. The concept is simple: the custard starts with a vanilla base, and you can customize it with a variety of toppings. They also offer a few other flavor options, so there's plenty to choose from. We tried a couple of different custards, and while they were good, I honestly didn't find them as exceptional as I expected given all the buzz. The flavors were enjoyable, but I felt they were a bit overpriced for what you get compared to other frozen dessert shops. One thing that surprised me was how quickly the custard started to melt, even before I had eaten much of it. Overall, it's worth trying if you're visiting St. Louis since it's such an iconic local spot, but for me, it didn't quite live up to the hype. It may be a beloved hometown favorite, but I'm not sure it's a must-visit destination for everyone.
