Not sure why all the bad reviews.. maybe previous employees weren't doing their job? I came in day before yesterday around 330pm to treat my kid to some ice cream after school! Plenty of parking in this lot, lots of other shops, bakeries, fitness shop, Chinese restaurant, Safeway, UPS, etc. Upon walking in there was only 1 girl and she greeted us and told us to take our time. She didn't rush my indecisive daughter, which was appreciated. She rang me up, then even offered to write the balance of my card on my card for me. We went on our way. Went to take my daughter for some ice cream after-school. The facility was decently cleaned and the service was good. However, my daughter, who is 2.5 and in the middle of potty training, got denied in using the bathroom. I understand the bathroom needs to be monitored against a certain type, but to deny a 2.5 year old was absolutely ridiculous. Regretfully I decided to visit Cold Stone on National ice cream day, this will probably be the last time I visit on any day. The service ruined what was supposed to be a special outing with my kids. Starting with first, they refused to honor an offer posted on their website. I understand that as a chain that offers may not apply to every store, but seeing as how this was listed on their store website, I was understandable upset when they refused to even acknowledge their error. Then, they refused to add extra topping. I was aware of the extra charge and prepared to pay. However, they still would not add any extra toppings. Look at the bad reviews. I should have known. I purchased a cake here and it was not made as I ordered. I immediately called in and was told that I could come into the store tomorrow and get the cake made correctly. I was also told I did not need to return the cake. Though my child's birthday was the day the cake was picked up I just agreed. As I was told, I came into the store the next day and asked about the cake. The next sales person said they could not remake the cake but would ask the manager to refund the cake. The employee said she needed to call the manager who I later found out is the owner. The manager spoke to the employee and told the employee that she could only offer a 15 percent discount on the next purchase. I spoke to the manager and was told the same. I only did what the employee told me too and what either employee said was not honored. It is sad they this location in Benjamin Holt treats its customers this way especially long standing customers.
