I ordered a birthday cake, it was martini themed. I wanted the cake to say "a tini bit older." When I got the cake the A was capitalized and it said "tiny" not tini like requested. The word older was also squished and the words were not all the same size. I'll keep it short and brief. The store was sort of dirty. Smell reminded me of mop water from a high school cafeteria after someone throws up and they try and clean it. Workers were working efficiently but it wasn't busy so I don't understand why they were restocking everything right before closing time. Once we got our ice creams we went outside to eat as the weather was abnormally beautiful for this time of the year. The little ones who were with us felt cold and wanted to stay inside this abomination of an establishment. Regardless, ice cream was good. They did the best they could. Considering the price of ice cream and cakes from Cold Stone, I have high expectations. I picked up this $30 cake and it looked as though a 5 year old decorated it. As you can see in the picture, it looked like someone tried slicing a piece of cake, then with their eyes closed, wrote "Happy Anniversary". I called and spoke to the manager and she said "our cake decorator is in training". A sincere apology or even a refund would've been nice. Very disappointed. We've tried a few times now because the kids love this place, but of the three orders we've placed, all three were cancelled after we waited more than an hour. Coldstone's clearly either can't be bothered to keep up with mobile/online orders, or there is something deeply wrong with their ordering system. My husband and I were on vacation in Wichita this week, we haven't had Cold Stone in ages (due to a relocation) and were so excited to visit! First of all, it was extremely hard to find as the outside sign was not turned on at 8pm (the giant Cold Stone sign on the building). We got ours to go and brought it home to eat later that night. My husband began eating his peanut butter cookie dough creation and much to our surprise, he turns to me and says, "well, that's gross..." and pulls out a giant long black hair that was mixed into his ice cream. The girl who made it, did in fact have long black hair (neither of us have black hair so it was pretty obvious who it came from.) He ended up throwing it away since he could not bring himself to continue eating it (huge waste of money.) We took pictures and planned on calling the store the next day, however, after reading the other reviews for this particular location, we just decided it wasn't even worth it seeing how other incidents had been handled (aka not handled whatsoever). Disgusting. It's really not that hard to be sanitary while preparing food, please be more mindful. Cold stone completed 3 out of 5 stars because there prices and tables. We walk in and we get on line , we were a party of 4 so we needed a table because no one wanted to sit in the car. I ordered a small that contains 1 scoop is 3 dollars with one topping. We get our ice cream and realize there's only a table with 2 seats. So the store is packed and there's one table, like seriously. We sit down and eat the ice cream it was overall really good beside the seating and prices. read more

Very disappointed with the level of service. The 3 employees seemed to have little interest in doing their job. At one point as I looked at the line which was out the door, I noticed that none of the employees were engaged in serving a customer such as scooping ice cream, adding mixins, cashing out...etc. It took us 45 minutes to get our ice cream. Many customers walked out after observing the lazy attitude of the workers. Most cold stones I have been to have the name of the manager prominently displayed in the store but not here which also suggests to me a lack of accountability and this is reflected in the employees.
