Secondary line now drains when it never did. Did not replace my filter dryer after opening my system. Last visit they told me it was outside coils being dirty. Why is that all of a sudden an issue 2 weeks later? Left a hole in the top of my air handler after that visit. Overall, they have caused me to miss/leave work multiple times to meet them in hopes they will fix it that time. I'm tired of being hot and frustrated. Shocking thing is that they came well recommended. Such a shame!

Starting with Jessica, she set up our appointment with TPDR. Speaking with her, I immediately felt like I made the right decision by calling TemperaturePro Dallas-Richardson. Mark, my TPDR representative has EXCEPTIONAL (I don't want overuse the word exceptional; in this case, he does) customer service skills; I know, because I work in customer service! Mark was professional and he's a great listener; to me, that's a plus! We never felt pressured. Mark took notes, he evaluated our existing HVAC system, and he offered great recommendations. Mark understood what we were seeking for our HVAC needs. Because he understood what we were seeking, we received exactly (Carrier 2-Stage System) what we wanted at a very competitive price. Disclosure... I sought three (3) HVAC quotes. After doing extensive research (I wanted to be realistic with pricing), TemperaturePro Dallas-Richardson met what we budget for; it was a win-win for us and TPDR. I noticed this guy's hours were until 9 PM. It was 8 PM, so I thought I would go ahead and see what they could do. They said they would be at my house in 40 minutes! Great! This did get delayed by an hour, but whatever, they were still willing to come over at a weird hour so I didn't mind. They came in, did their thing, the AC turned on, they charged my $179 (check) and left. 10 minutes later, it turned off again. I called and all I said was "Hey, it just turned off again..." and he immediately responded with "You know what, don't worry about it, I'm not going to cash this check, it's clear you have bigger problems and will need a lot of work done to fix it". Well, it really wasn't that much work with the next company, but whatever, he was really nice for offering to not cash the check. I thanked him and said I'd leave a great review. REALLY happy I held off on that. A day later I checked my bank account and the check had cleared. Oof. I called him, he said his wife had cashed it when he told her not to, he'll send me another check today and I'd get it tomorrow. Not sure why he already knew about this and didn't feel the need to call me, but okay. The check didn't come the next day. Or the day after that. I call again. He says "Don't worry (I laughed at that) you'll get your check". When we end the conversation he texts me saying he put it in the previous evening. Not what he said he'd do originally but okay. I get the check today and it's for $104. Figures. I call him and he has the gall to tell me "You know what, I'm going to be honest with you, the guy that came out with me charged me $75 and I'm not going to pay that from my pocket. I could have kept the whole check, I don't owe you anything. This is legal as you wrote me the original check." We go back and forth like this for a few minutes, me saying sure, it's legal, I would have been fine with you keeping that service call fee because you did come out, but the fact that you lied through omission several times to get to this point is just sad, honestly. Be upfront. TLDR; He lied on three separate occasions and went back on his word. Was that 'accidental' check cash actually on purpose and he hoped I wouldn't notice? I wouldn't be surprised after the conversation we just had.

This review is for JPR Mechanical (A/C-Plumbing 214-340-5757) in Dallas since there is another with…read morea similar name. These are nice, fast, honest people, family-run business. Another A/C company insisted I buy an entirely new system or wait 2 weeks for two special order outrageously-priced parts for my current system. JPR came by and quickly observed I only needed one part, which is a common one, and it was already stocked in their truck. They installed and had our a/c running in 30 minutes. The other company was charging 15 TIMES their price for that one part, and the other parts recommended were totally unnecessary -- this crazy estimate and two week special-order timeframe (while it's 100 degrees out) was entirely designed to push us to buy a new system. If you want to upgrade to new system, great. I'd still go with JPR to make recommendations, install and maintain it. If you can't afford an entirely new system, don't let anyone talk you into one -- let JPR look at your current one and make a real honest assessment of what it needs and if it's worth keeping. After dealing with two shifty A/C companies now I know how rare it is to find a great one.

When he arrived, he was very friendly and nice, didn't let on how tired he must have been.
