Their selection is eclectic, hipster chic. The clothing and housewares and jewelry offerings here are unique and unlike items that can be found in some of the other Breckenridge shops. I remember when this area of Vail wasn't called Solaris, and it housed a Haagen Dazs, Verbatim…read morebookstore, an art gallery, a tiny little old fashioned movie theater, a records & tapes store, a grab & go little grocery store, and a pizza restaurant. Well times have changed and none of those stores are here anymore. Makes me sad and nostalgic. These newer shops are very high-end and lack any real personality. The exception is Yeti's Grind coffee shop- always a solid cup to be found here at an affordable price, plus they have a full espresso bar and fresh roasted beans to take home. I love the little grassed area in front of the shops- perfect for kids to just run & run & run. The grass is replaced with ice in the colder months and turns into an ice skating rink- so fun! FYI: There are public restrooms behind Yeti's and there's a free Vail shuttle pick up/drop off spot on the west side of the plaza.

I heard the ski patrol people use this brand, so I figured they would work wonders, especially for the price ($65 for 1 pair). Upon entering the store, it was super tiny and cramped inside. People were blocking the way, you kept having to move so someone could get by when trying to browse, and stock was very limited. There was only one section of gloves, and only 1 glove for women. The sales clerk said they're basically unisex, but would have been nice to have more women options. Speaking of sales clerk, there was no sales clerk in sight so I had to go up to the register and ask the girl there for help when she was done checking someone out. It is nice they give you the option to take the tags off right when you buy them so you can wear them. As for the gloves, my hands were still cold so the mission was kind of a bust.

If possible, get verification: Request them to sms you a photo of the item, Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) number and labels. Unfortunately, I could not purchase a newly released Helly Hansen jacket. They did not have the newly released model and would've needed to go back to a larger store like in Denver and purchase it there or get it sent to Brecky. I then tell her that I still can't find it so, she asks 'which one is it again', mind y'all, there is no one else in the damn store. I'm the only customer, and I had only been in there for a whole 60 seconds. Now, she walks up right in front of me and pulls the shirts to the side and mentions it's not in the color in the front window, black, and they must have sold out. Then she storms off. She didn't even mention if I wanted the one in black she would take it off the manikin in the window. So, I walked out. I can't be in that room and space.
