Vicki from Rolling Acres Stable was able to save us a spot in advance. She was good in communicating, and our horse ended up boarding at her place for 6 months. Vicki has lots of experience with horses, and was very helpful in getting our horse settled. She typically keeps 2 horses together in a paddock, and tries to make it a good pairing. Our horse was challenging, but Vicki still did extra services for her (like giving wormer in the spring). I found Vicki to be kind and helpful, and a good source of information about our new state. The barn facilities were safe and in good repair. Highly recommended!

The pastures were unkept, multiple horses have had injuries from loose nails, stalls contained incredibly uneven footing which is very detrimental to a horses health, even feeding was done wrong, leading to aggravated and unfed horses. Thankfully we were able to get out while we still could, but for many others it hasn't been so easy. Save yourself while you still can.

They have a nice indoor arena which has an open plan with the barn so you can see the people and horses in their stalls when you're riding. The arena walls are safe and flat, not the kind you get your leg caught on if your horse runs you into the wall. The footing was very nice and clearly dragged frequently. The have a nice heated observation room, clean bathroom and heated very large tack room. The people who owned the barn were very kind and welcoming and the boarders were nice and seemed close with each other. They have many beautiful horses and seemed to focus on western disciplines as would be expected for the stock horses they specialize in. I can't wait to return!

My friends hosted a birthday party for their daughter at Legacy Stables and we had so much fun!…read moreKarin's Horse Connection is the 501 (c)3 non-profit, while Legacy Stables operates their business which includes riding lessons, horse camps, birthday parties, etc. My friend's daughter loves unicorns, so they chose the unicorn birthday package which included some games, interacting with the horses, access to a private (heated) space, and supervised "unicorn" rides! It was so cute. The staff were so great with the kids (aged 4-10ish) and safety was a priority. I didn't get a chance to ride any of the horses, but I'd honestly like to come back and do a one time ride at some point. I haven't ridden a horse since I was a teenager, and being around them made me really happy. Such a fun spot and they have a great mission of equine therapy.

This sport clearly requires tremendous trust and goodwill between the vaulters and the horse. Watching my child participate in horse vaulting has been an incredibly rewarding experience. Not only has she developed physical strength and agility, but she has also learned important life skills such as communication, discipline, and perseverance.
