Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful, we asked a young man for help and he gave us so much information on tree types and what the differences are. All the staff were really great, which added to the magic. While we did not partake, it was lovely in the barn where you could make your own wreaths, there was a station for writing letters to Santa, and hot chocolate. Our tree looks fantastic two weeks later, we will absolutely be returning to Gunpowder Tree Farm next year!

They have several varieties of trees ranging from 8' to 2' tall. (Some even bigger) They have trees with the root ball attached that you can transplant to your own yard. But it's not just the great selection of trees, the gift shop, the snack bar and the more than reasonable prices, it's the warm, family atmosphere that we find so refreshing. The entire family and everyone that works there are so pleasant, friendly, and work very hard to make your holiday amazing. Every year we drive past 3 or 4 different tree farms to visit Chery Grove. And every year Brian greets us with a smile, asks how we've been, fills us in on the trees and we're off to find this seasons tree. Now I can't speak for acreage or mileage but you can walk around for hours trying to find the right tree. Not really too many bad ones. Lupton keeps them trimmed perfectly and cuts, tractors them up to the checkout, shakes, drills and wraps it all up for you. You can even jump on and get a ride in and out of the field. All in all a full five stars. Friendly staff, plenty of parking, fire pit to warm up, service on point and even a port a potty when the urge may strike! What more can you ask for?

The blueberries were added last year (2014) and they have a few varieties available. We emailed in the morning to find out if the timing was right for a visit and Karl's wife, Janet responded quickly to confirm that they were open and could handle our big group of 15 adults and kids. We quickly picked about 13 pounds of blueberries. They're tasty and we're enjoying blueberry pancakes and have plans for many more treats. If you are looking for a great, easy, and fun activity while at the shore check out Littleworth farm for blueberry picking.

If you are stuck shopping for a tree in CC, this might be your best bet, but be aware you are paying for the convenience. If you're a budget shopper, there are better options.

Unlike other tree farms, they do no wrap the tree to your car and instead make you do it yourself. Seriously? After $170 I have do do everything myself too?
