Both of the last two times we've been in, I've ordered the beef Wellington special, and both times it's arrived inedibley raw. The first time this happened (celebrating our anniversary), the puff pastry appeared cooked on top but was raw underneath and the meat was still cold inside. I sent it back and asked for it to be finished. They clearly slapped the cut side of the meat on a hot pan to sear it and returned it with the puff pastry dough still raw. I opted to send it back again and just nibble on my husband's prime rib instead of having them attempt to cook the Wellington for a third time. A manager checked in on us after my husband had finished his meal and we'd already paid our bill (the server did have the Wellington removed from it). Mistakes happen, so we gave it another go. This most recent time, the puff pastry was obviously underdone when it arrived at the table (so much so that I told my husband I was pretty sure I was cutting into an uncooked steak), and when I cut into the Wellington, it was still cold and raw. Not rare. Not blue. Raw. I opted not to have them try it again after two hours of waiting, and instead ordered a simple pasta dish which was mediocre at best. Given the variability in temperature within the dish, I have a strong suspicion it may have been microwaved. My husband's steak (ordered medium rare) was barely blue, with sections he didn't eat because it was undercooked. Our appetizer (potato skins) never made it to the table, and the pasta in the chicken noodle soup was still crunchy. It was not particularly busy, but our server rarely checked on us, and we spent portions of the meal with nothing to drink. He never noticed or inquired about the appetizer. No manager ever checked in on us, even after having to send a raw meal back. What was once a staple in our restaurant rotation has found its way onto our never-again list.

No one contacted me to let me know in advance and only explained it when I called asking for it. Second, they handed the dasher a Honey Baked Ham lunch box only, with no bag. She said the girl also messed this up and didn't bag it. It was left on my porch and when I went to get it, bugs were crawling on the box which they could easily get have gotten into. No one saw this and corrected her??!! Their response was that I needed to contact Doordash with the complaints. Third, about 30 minutes later when I went to eat the lunch, I noticed that the Broccoli Bliss salad was completely dry, so I called and spoke to the Mgr to ask what happened to the sauce and the Mgr again stated that the new girl forgot the sauce. The one good thing was the Classic Ham sandwich and the potato salad. They were still good as usual. Overall; the care taken to prepare and hand off this order was unacceptable. It was not the quality I've known them to have in the past. It's not acceptable to just blame a new person. If she is making significant mistakes, why not check for accuracy??!! I ordered it through Uber eats we were all excited to have a turkey dinner but they sent me ham then Uber eats sent me two dollars back for my inconvenience G thanks Uber eats two whole dollars for a screwed up a family event. Honey baked did not inform me if they were out of turkey. They just sent me ham so that's their bad. They should have contacted me if that's the case and if it was just a screwup, then I should've gotten more than two dollars.

There was also a stage which I'd imagine has some live music at night to complete the ambiance. The food quality is unlike any other. It's one of the original farm to table restaurants in the area. They even list their food sources on their menu. We started with the tempura green beans. I'm not normally a fried food person but these were so light and fresh and came in a very generous portion. For my meal, I had the grain bowl and added tofu. It also came as a generous portion. I loved all the different flavors and textures. I tried a few of my boyfriend's sweet potato fries and you cannot get fries tasting any more fresh and flavorful. Service was on top of things and helpful at providing recommendations. I received a discount coupon for my birthday in the past and used it at this location for a meal. My husband recently received a discount for his birthday, so we went there for lunch. We presented the coupon to our waitress prior to ordering our food. She came back and told us the coupon was only valid at the Woodstock location as noted in the fine print. We didn't read the fine print since we assumed it would be valid where we usually dine. It was also odd because we've never even been to the Woodstock location. Being disappointed, I called the Woodstock restaurant to see if we could use the discount at Crystal Lake. The person we spoke with checked with the manger there and said they do honor coupons from other locations. She advised us to check with the manager at Crystal Lake about their policy. Our waitress checked and was told they would not honor our coupon. Since we're pretty regular customers, we were very disappointed and consider this to be poor customer service.
