visited today to meet friends for lunch. First visit and it was quite nice. It was cold and the fire was welcoming. Dining room is clean and holiday decorations were beautiful. Staff was friendly and not pushing you out the door which is always nice! We had salmon salads which came with a generous portion of salmon and were delicious! Bread served before the meal was warm and yummy! I would recommend giving them a try!

Never disappoints on food Quality or Quantity . Service is great . Could use a little updating, We never like the Gambling corners popping up everywhere and usually avoid such places, so far its small and easy to steer clear of. But gambling and family dining is usually a no go. This place is one of a few exceptions we make.

Sad, we were hoping to love this place. The interior is a bit of a combination of a Denny's and an Outback Steakhouse-- tired, old, but a little more upscale than your traditional Applebees. The service wasn't great. Our server, Tim, was friendly but clearly extremely overwhelmed. I think he would have been more attentive to our table if they didn't have him running around like a headless chicken. The food was similar to the atmosphere, tired and nothing new/special. The Crab Cakes Appetizer was so clearly frozen and reheated, that the interior of them were hardly lukewarm. Our entrees weren't great either. Salmon Salad tasted old, and the Chicken Marsala was gristly and low-quality meat and a thick gloppy sauce. My Steak Wedge was pretty good but the steak itself was, again, not the best quality. I would not come back. Atmosphere, service AND food were extremely underwhelming.

Went very well being our 30th Anniversary! Service, food, ambulance were great. Wine is priced accordingly. We had a great time!

Good food and service. First time there, will look forward to visiting again. Disappointed that they don't serve raw oysters.

It came with a soup. He picked the French onion soup and for 99 cents more you can get it baked... so he did. He loved the soup and would definitely order that again. He didn't really care for the taste of the sauce and the texture of the chicken. He would order something else next time. It was supposed to come with bread but we had to ask for it. I ordered the 2 pancakes with 2 eggs over easy. It was delicious and I would order it again. All the desserts look so delicious. We ordered a square of chocolate peanut butter fudge but it was not very good. Definitely don't recommend it. It was sweet and rich and could have used a little sea salt sprinkled on the top. Definitely did not taste like peanut butter... maybe more of a maple syrupy taste. We will be back again. They have special senior daily dinners too for people over 65 so if you're a senior you may want to dine here. Our waitress was kind and kept asking us if we needed anything. Definitely love the service here! The ambiance is very relaxing. We dined here around 8pm and the lights were dim and it was very comfortable. A perfect place to have dinner and talk.

A bit too far from the crib for casual visits, but worth my recommendation. Eat here.

I had the Kaboom Burger with cheddar cheese and crispy onion straws, seasoned with a great spicy kick--absolutely delicious. Everything seems to be up at least 10% all over, so I can't fault them for it. I just wish income had gone up that much in a year. Again not their control. But I just can't go eating at restaurants as much. The price of 6.75 for a dog fish beer was imo kinda high and it was rather flat. The coleslaw was honestly so bad and bitter rancid tasting I had to spit it out. Honestly, not a fan of Cole slaw but this is the first I've had to 100% reject eating. The pickle I got that someone raved about, didn't look great when I turned it over The fries honestly could have been cooked a little more but were pretty good. The best part of the meal was the burger though so that sorta saved the whole experience. I sat on the patio and got good service. I appreciated that the to-go wasn't styrofoam. I had to take 1/2 the burger home. There is a 3% surcharge for using credit cards, so I was glad I brought cash, as I'm tired of getting charged for charging. Ha. Overall not bad, but could use some attention to detail.

I was a bit underdressed since this was an unprepared dinner. The ambiance is a nicer steak house. I would say most wore business casual at least. The prices were fair for the portion we got. I really liked their bacon wrapped scallops as well as the crème brûlée. I would for sure recommend for nicer meals.

If you're…read morelooking for an elevated, upscale experience without heading into Chicago, Schaumburg, Oak Brook, or Naperville, this is the place. Period. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance with dim, intimate lighting and a clean, modern presentation. It feels polished without being stiff, refined but still welcoming. Most importantly, it delivers where it counts, on the plate. We started with the lamb lollipops, cooked precisely to temperature and finished with crushed pistachios, pomegranate, and a rich demi-glace. Each bite delivered depth, brightness, and texture. The Dungeness crab croquettes were equally impressive, crispy on the outside with a delicate, herbaceous interior. Rich, but never heavy. The French onion soup is an experience in itself, served in a hollowed onion. Bold, deeply savory, and incredibly comforting. Service elevated the night even further. Our server, Karra, asked if we'd sharing and had the kitchen split our entrées into individual portions, a thoughtful touch. The steak arrived perfectly cooked, and exactly as ordered. We finished with the English sticky toffee pudding, warm, gooey, and unapologetically decadent. Montarra doesn't chase trends. It executes upscale dining with precision, care, and genuine hospitality. That is exactly why it stands out, and why I'll keep coming back. Go experience it for yourself.
