We special ordered Cole's burgers for an event, every guest loved their burgers grilled. Customer service is excellent, hometown touch.

Stopping in to Coles is like a flashback of my childhood; I grew up in the area and haven't been back in many years. Remarkably, nothing has changed: THIS SHOP/Market is very CLEAN the shop is well lit and you would be hard-pressed to find dust on anything. Shelves are well stocked as are the reach in coolers stocked with grab and go take out items. PRICES are reasonable considering the quality. I picked up freshly ground chuck for $7.99/lb which is just slightly more expensive than mega supermarket chains with questionable sell-by dates. PANTRY items weave in and out, beckoning to take them home. (I DID). SYSTEMS are really great. after your selection at the butcher, they assign you a basket # so you can shop with both hands free. This is a well organized order and pick up system; if you need fresh meats, head to the back, past the enormous freezer selection of ravioli, manicotti, and other Italian specialties. SERVICE: you are immediately greeted by friendly staff ( this reminds me of the Japanese culture of greeting every patron immediately. I hired Cole's to cater my dad's 95th birthday party/barbecue. They were amazing! They came early, set up a tent for the buffet, set up the grills and proceeded to make an amazingly delicious meal. They brought everything needed to prepare and serve the food, and when they finished doing the serving, they cleaned up, collecting plates from guests and cleaning anything which was used to prepare or enjoy the meal.They also wrapped up all of the leftovers. All I had to do was fit them in my refrigerator! The servers even put out dessert, cut and served the birthday cake and cleaned up after that! I was a guest in my own home! Everything here is top notch from the deli items, meats, vegetables, and seafood. They make the best sandwiches in the area hands down, great place to stop in for lunch. Very efficient, very friendly staff. You may have heard this place is 'pricey', I think it is in line with the quality you get. A specialty wedge came out to be less than $10, basically the same price as Montrose Deli across the street! Cole's is lightyears better in terms of quality. Only have ever had the roast beef in different ways. Sometimes you get then over cooked part sometimes the rare even when you ask for rare. It ask seems like the meat is pre sliced which I don't like. Service is fast and seemingly friendly but a bit forgetful. Went back again ordered 3 sandwiches Chicken cutlet seemed microwaved Italian combo meats were cut think and possibly precut The last was just not great. We recently had Cole's Market cater a party for 22 people. They provided the food and a server. The food was great and abundant. We provided a party cake which they were happy to serve. The best part was the server. She was amazing. She knew exactly what to do, set things up beautifully and reacted to all our request about when to serve what. It was buffet and she even served people at the buffet table. She pitched in to other party set up jobs having nothing to do with the catering. Was on a mission to find a specific product; Dam Good English Muffins. Jack Pot - they had them! While I was there, got to wander around and check out everything they have to offer. Well organized and stocked. Just the right amount of everything. Fruits, veggies, meat, cheese, shelf stable foods and more. Items you would expect and unique items too. Everything was so appealing. Cole's is as close as you'll come to killing a cow in your backyard, cutting it up and serving it for dinner. It's not a restaurant, but a "super"market. The meat is always fresh, priced well, and the service is great. They will be happy to take your meat and pack it for the freezer for you. For those with terrible cholesterol, the veggie burgers are also outrageously good. This is a great little find in Westchester and whoever they use as their suppliers, they provide great quality. It's true that they are expensive, but most really good places are in this area. It seems unavoidable. I have only purchased prepared deli food here but the items I have had were very good. They make a great egg salad sandwich and a great tuna salad sandwich. They're expensive but you could easily make a second sandwich because they pile so much on the bread. Their tortellini salad is delicious. They sell 'Damn Good English Muffins', which is a local product, locally sourced, and they are the best! They sell out constantly. The counter personnel I have encountered have been cordial and efficient. I've never had a bad experience with anyone. They get crazy busy sometimes so I don't expect everyone to be over the top friendly all the time. But everyone has always been nice if a little brisk once in a while. It hasn't been a big deal. I see they are a family owned business that has been there for many years. I love that! read more

Locally, I will not buy red meat from anywhere but Cole's. They have a variety of cuts of superb quality. They have everything from pork, poultry, red meat, fresh fish and so much more. Their burgers are also amazing. I get them whenever I have people over and I'm using the grill and people rave about them. The prepared food like potato salad, coleslaw, chicken cutlets, etc is also always excellent. Cole's Market is like the Bloomingdale's of food shopping. They have some of the best cuts of meat, everything is Fresh Fresh Fresh and you can whip up some killer gourmet eats for friends and family if you are looking to impress. We came in here to buy stuff for a backyard bbq. Buns, potato salad, cheese, chips, burgers and so on. They leave out napkins and packets of ketchup, mayo, mustard and relish for people to take with their purchase. However, Tricia made me put everything back as she deemed we didn't buy enough to take the free condiments they leave out for people to take. Way to run a business. Absolutely love Cole's Market. The food is great, the "butcher shop" is awesome and the fish is fresh!! The store is so clean, brightly lit and easy to navigate through considering all they stock! Tonight's selection was fresh stuffed sole and the butcher told me how exactly to cook it and all ~ delicious. The staff is warm and welcoming and Tommy, Tricia and Joe (owners) are wonderful. I have used their catering people two times. Once for our after wedding brunch and the second was for our most recent holiday party. This is a great catering place. The attitude of the servers was extraordinary. They were helpful and friendly. Chatting with our bartender, who was with a different company. I honestly can't say enough good things about Cole's. Coles Market does all the small things right. If you are having an event and want to enjoy it yourself, along with all your guests, call them! I order 6 foot sandwiches, stuffed mushrooms, wings, anti-pasta platters. Excellent quality and presentation. My buddy's and I order lunch here all the time, "Ranchero" on a spinach wrap may be my favorite all time sandwich. I work in a power plant and we buy our prime rib there for the holidays, it's really, really good. read more

This place is just rude. I guess they don't think that they need to be nice because it's all regulars & people will tolerate it? The lady owner (appears to owner) is lovely & will go out of her way to help. Everyone else is a customer service nightmare! Never a hello. Never a smile. But that's not the problem. It's the rudeness when you ask questions or anything really. So it's not so much the lack of kindness, but the intentional rudeness. For example, this morning, I called to ask if they do a specific basic morning sandwich. Instead of saying "absolutely, sure, give me one second & I'll transfer you to deli where they can take your order." Instead of that, I get, "uh yeah." I proceed to order it. Winning rude comment: "well can ya hold on while I transfer you to deli cause you need to order it there." Sure. "Eh" hold. Eh? Basic stuff here. This is an example, a small one. Much more obvious ones happen there all the time. I'm done with this place. We've crossed it off at least a year ago because of this same service issue (which is like customers are bothering the employees), and it's super overpriced with not high quality meats and produce (my husband was once a chef & knows good meat)! I get the overpriced though- it's a small "forgot something at market, so let me drop by there" kind of place. But a place that sucks all if your positivity out & full of negative energy is unacceptable. I hope this lady who is the nice one starts taking action on her rude employees & not let them get away with it- who's the boss??! I love Yelp because it helps me find places like this. Was looking for a place to buy meats to grill for Memorial Day and was directed to Cole's which I never heard of. Helpful employee suggested I try the Gary's steak and gave me directions how to grill. The steak and the chicken kabobs were beyond tasty. The steak was perfection. I LOVE Cole's and try to stop in every time I'm in a 5 mile radius. The butcher shop provides excellent meats, the ready to eat food is delicious and makes for some super-easy dinners, and the sandwiches are big and yummy. Good produce and dairy sections with reasonable prices means I don't always have to go to the supermarket. We were in town visiting, and I was just interested in getting good cheese, good bagels and some good lox. I called ahead to make sure they had what I needed, and after they confirmed it, we took the trip over. It is a very nice shop, with random gourmet (but reasonably priced) and grocery items that I was very happy to find. The staff was great, and made sure we found everything we ever needed.
