Pretzelmaker is so underrated…read more I've had Auntie Anne's and Wetzel's Pretzels but nothing compares to Pretzelmaker. What stands out is that Pretzelmaker soft pretzels are fluffier and lighter, and have a better overall taste IMO. They are what I describe as "pillowy goodness" and they always come out piping hot! Pretzelmaker is located in the lower-level of the Moreno Valley Mall next to Macy's. Pro-Tip: Park in the lot between the Macy's and JC Penney stores. There's an entrance that leads you down a corridor closest to Pretzelmaker. Because the pretzels are made fresh to order, there is a bit of a wait time. But the wait is always worth it. My favorite items to get are: * Mozzarella Stuffed Pretzel Bites with Pepperoni (buttered, Unsalted) * Pretzel Bites The lady (owner, maybe?) who's been making the pretzels does a fantastic job kneading the dough and making these delightful bites! And -- shhh --- they are the perfect treat to take inside Harkins movie theater (in your purse, of course). Much more satisfying than popcorn! Pretzelmaker, you are simply the best and completely irresistible!

Although I was the only one in line and ordering, the wait time was a little long (8ish minutes) but it was well worth it as it completely blew my expectations out of the water. It was fluffy and the cheese was delicious which when you combined it with the marinara sauce made a mouthwatering combination. When compared to Auntie Anne's or Wretzels Pretzels, it is superior in every aspect and its unfortunate that Pretzelmaker is located in Moreno Valley Mall as if it were located in a bigger location (like Ontario Mills or Galleria), it would be much busier and bring it a lot more attention then it's getting currently.

The Reuben and potato salad combo was especially hearty and satisfying, with rich, savory flavors that felt very true to a classic deli experience. The Hungarian sausage had a great depth of flavor, savory and well-seasoned without tipping into being overly salty. The cherry strudel was a standout to end the meal, filled generously with cherries and syrup, wrapped in a flaky pastry that balanced sweetness and texture really well. The beer tied everything together nicely, cold and refreshing, and exactly what you'd want with this kind of meal. I still prefer Busy Bees in San Pedro, but this was a nice alternative within the IE area. Price: George's Market falls into a casual, reasonable deli pricing tier. Sandwiches like the Reuben and similar deli items are generally in the mid‑teens range, while sausage plates and hot meals can push closer to around $15-20 depending on what you get. Beer and imported items vary, but overall you can expect to spend about $15-25 per person for a solid, filling meal. Given the quality, portion sizes, and specialty nature of the food, the pricing feels fair. Ambiance: The space is part cozy German market, part deli counter, with a warm, wood-heavy interior that feels inviting and a bit nostalgic. There's both indoor seating and an outdoor area, giving flexibility depending on the weather or how busy it is. Beyond the dining area, the market itself sells a wide range of German groceries and specialty products, which adds to the charm and makes it feel like more of an experience than just a quick meal. Service: Service was good and impressively efficient given how busy it gets. There was a noticeable line when we went (especially on a weekend lunch time), but things moved steadily and the staff kept everything organized without feeling rushed or chaotic. Friendly and straightforward overall. Parking: Parking is one of the easier parts of the visit. It's located in a plaza with a large shared lot, so there's plenty of space and no real hassle finding a spot, even during peak hours.

I spotted Wetzel's Pretzel stand and based on prior experiences at other Wetzel's locations I walked up to look and spotted a Blue Raspberry drink dispenser. I asked the cashier if that was a "slushie" type drink and she said yes. I love Blue Raspberry Icees / Slurpees / Slushies, so I ordered one. I paid for my drink ($7.99 - which surprised me. I was not expecting a price that high), but they promptly made it so I took it and walked away anticipating a cooling, soothing drink to quench my thirst. I took my first drink and nearly gagged. Apparently, this location has their drink dispensers hooked up to the local water supply which has a very strong and distinct mineral taste. It overpowered the blue raspberry flavor - all I could taste was mineral tap water. So disappointing. Obviously, this was not the fault of the employees dispensing the drink. There was no point in asking them to make me another one, since it was going to come out of the same dispensing machine. I am hoping this review catches the attention of the management for that stand and they do something to correct the problem. Get a high-end water filter installed in the supply line or something. It is not copacetic to sell drinks that taste terrible and then charge high end pricing. I drank about 1/4 to 1/3 of the drink but could not take any more. So I will be pouring about $5 or $6 down the drain. I will not be back to that stand anytime soon. I you are planning to order drinks that are not bottled or canned, ask for a taste before buying. Otherwise, you may have a similar experience.
