I have enjoyed Wetzel's pretzel products on many occasions and rank them very highly. However, today (08/21/2026) I was at the Temecula Promenade, and I was very thirsty, my throat was parched, and I was looking for a cool drink to quench my thirst. I spotted Wetzel's Pretzel stand and based on prior experiences at other Wetzel's locations I walked up to look and spotted a Blue Raspberry drink dispenser. I asked the cashier if that was a "slushie" type drink and she said yes. I love Blue Raspberry Icees / Slurpees / Slushies, so I ordered one. I paid for my drink ($7.99 - which surprised me. I was not expecting a price that high), but they promptly made it so I took it and walked away anticipating a cooling, soothing drink to quench my thirst. I took my first drink and nearly gagged. Apparently, this location has their drink dispensers hooked up to the local water supply which has a very strong and distinct mineral taste. It overpowered the blue raspberry flavor - all I could taste was mineral tap water. So disappointing. Obviously, this was not the fault of the employees dispensing the drink. There was no point in asking them to make me another one, since it was going to come out of the same dispensing machine. I am hoping this review catches the attention of the management for that stand and they do something to correct the problem. Get a high-end water filter installed in the supply line or something. It is not copacetic to sell drinks that taste terrible and then charge high end pricing. I drank about 1/4 to 1/3 of the drink but could not take any more. So I will be pouring about $5 or $6 down the drain. I will not be back to that stand anytime soon. I you are planning to order drinks that are not bottled or canned, ask for a taste before buying. I asked if I could order it and we would wait, your young female employee let the kid on register walk almost to the kitchen before calling him back and saying the kitchen isn't making anything else and wouldn't be making anything else, talk about terrible customer service. Instead we went to the kiosk location upstairs, ordered everything we wanted and the total was nearly $80!! Insane! One pretzel bites, 2 pizza bites, 1 mini cheese dogs, a few dipping sauces and 3 frozen hot chocolates. The inflation struggle is real and all you get is stale, falling apart super oily bread, the frozen hot chocolates were bomb. To take it he said he would get in trouble by manager. I love wetzles pretzels, and yesterday my fiancé and I went to the location next to zumiez and I got the new s'more's bitz and the mango popper boba, and holy smokes! The bitz were warm, gooey, chocolatey goodness. The line moved fast, and it was busy! The s'mores bitz had Ghirardelli chocolate drizzled all over. The mango popper boba frozen lemonade was so refreshing! It was like drinking a lemonade with the sweetness of mango. There was even mango chunks on top. I would recommend both! Me and the wife love Wetzel's Pretzels and always enjoy their food after a long day of walking around the Promenade. The staff is friendly and know how to make some good pretzels. My favorite has to be their jalapeño Wetzel dogs which always taste fresh. My daughters love to get their cinnamon wetzel bits. One thing however is that it is not cheap and it only seems to get more expensive every time I visit. I paid almost $30 for two wetzel bits, a wetzel dog and two drinks. I hope it doesn't get too expensive to the point I stop coming here. Great quality food however and awesome customer service. read more

The employees literally NEVER smile. I used to only come here for a the $1 mall employee drink. Now its $1.25 but I don't come as often. Soda's bad anyway. None the less the employees here are not friendly, they move in slow motion and often stand around doing nothing when there is a line of 10 people. The manager of both Wetzels in the Mall is a very friendly smiley man which is why it is so hard to understand why all the other employees are so blah. What gets me the most is that there are usually 3-4 people working at a time yet only 1 person handles everything, with the exception of one person occasionally making more pretzels. The person takes your order. gets your pretzel, puts whatever topping on it if necessary, gets your drink, takes your payment all the while someone is usually sitting next to the booth eating their lunch, and another stands next to that person texting or talking to them. The prices are ridiculous its close to $4 for a pretzel. However, they do often have coupons that you can pick up at the Guest Services booth just down the hall from their upper level booth location to bring the price down to just moderately expensive. So dissatisfied with this location the last time I went there I waited in line for 13 minutes behind 1 person so I could get a lemonade for my dry throat. There's nothing like a Wetzel's pretzel and a lemonade. The flavor of any of their products is unreal and very addicting. I was actually a vegetarian for 8 months and they got me with their hot dogs (in my defense I had just started working in the mall and only had 10 minutes to grab food after a 10 hour shift between two jobs) anyway- it was worth it. The employees here are always pretty friendly and if they're out of something, or the item you want will take too long they generally substitute other items (that sometimes cost more) for the same price.
