    Spicy Hungarian sausage

Would you expect a small market to pack a punch with good beer and German food? No? Well, try George's Market and find out The Reuben sandwich with warm german potato salad was a banger. Meat was juicy, sauce is plentiful, and it all conglomerates into a messy sandwich of deliciousness. Sausages are the other star here. The Spicy Hungarian sausage with mustard was absolutely a banger as well. It's a nice light kick and savory flavor with each bite. We finished off with a Cherry strudel which was not too sweet but still had the nice sugary finish of a dessert. I feel like I'm rambling but long story short, great food, great beer, great time. Have a slice of European cuisine out in Calimesa.

FOOD Pastrami Sandwich on a roll - The pastrami is thinly sliced, but that doesn't mean they skimp out on you. The meat to cheese to bread ratio was spot on. The sandwich came with mustard, some kind of cheese(I forgot the name), and pickles. The pickles were crunchy and tangy. I'm not sure if the pickles are house made. I'll have to find out so I can bring a jar home. CUSTOMER SERVICE AND AMBIANCE My order was perfectly prepared and the employee was kind. I was in a rush so, I was in and out of there rather quickly. I didn't really get a chance to look around, but from the little I saw, the shop is kept clean. They have a large variety of German products, not just limited to the meats and cheeses.

Yum! We discovered this German delicacy from our German born friend! It will be forever to go when we want to reminisce our Best of Germany trip in 2025!! We loved George's sandwiches- the pastrami is fresh and the bread soft and delicious. The Ruben was finished as well, the rest of the group enjoyed their sausages plates. We bought more than we thought: chocolates, gingerbread cookies, salami and more to take home. What a treat! The employees are sweet and friendly with their smiles which makes customers want to return. A little piece of Germany!!

    A feast!!

Finally able to return to this spot after years and I am happy to say that it is still a great place to shop and grab a bite. This time I was able to try their German potato salad and good gracious - I can't even believe how good it was!! This is the perfect pit stop for anyone traveling from LA to Idyllwild or the desert.

Amazing! First time visiting this German deli and it did not disappoint. Warmly welcomed as we took a look around admiring the items for sale. We approached the counter and the staff were so friendly and kind. Sausage hot plates come with pickles, sauerkraut and potato or macaroni salad along with your choice of sausage. Bratwurst was so juicy and the flavor just right, not overpowering, perfect boldness. The Weisworst was tender & juicy with herbal highlights. We also tried the combination sandwich. Which comes on rye or French roll, warmed. Meats we're proportionally sliced and the mix was perfection. Inside is a market, deli counter & German beers in the fridge section. It seems like a small space but it's packed full with so much to see. A few inside tables or outdoor covered patio seating. Live music entertainment on certain days. The service is excellent accentuating a pleasant visit at this local staple. A memorable experience this gem. Will definitely return for more.

Really cool German market. Employees are eager to help since most of the items sold are in German! The deli has lots to choose from and you can even order a sandwich and eat it inside or in the outside patio. Prices are reasonable. Parking is super easy with the lot right in front.

George's seems like a popular lunch spot for locals. I happened to be driving though and decided to try it. They have a small menu. It seems the popular order was a German platter but I went safe with a turkey sandwich and German potato salad. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was good. Fair warning, the potato salad is warm! I think it has bacon in it also. The turkey sandwich was good, but I wouldn't drive out of my way for it. Just a classic turkey sandwich. My friend got the pastrami sandwich which he also enjoyed. Aside from the deli, they have a variety of German snacks. The workers are friendly, they provided me with some recommendations. Some of the items are expensive but I imagine it's due to everything being imported.

Small and cozy German market and deli in Calimesa with some inside tables and an outdoor covered beer garden. Ordered the hot plate with an additional sausage, Polish and Spicy Hungarian. Plate also included German potato salad, kraut and 2 slices of bread with cheese, which was quickly served by a pleasant employee. Would have tried some of the beer but not while driving. Will be returning to try other deli options and possible shopping.

Georges Market offers a variety of German snacks, candy, and sausages! Their German potato salad served as the side is my favorite! We love coming here on Saturdays to enjoy the ambiance of the beer garden and music!

Potato salad and mushrooms. I think this was the pastrami or Reuben?

Cute German market with fun little german candies and other goodies. I have tried several of their sandwiches and they never disappoint! I love the German potato salad and my favorite of all is their marinated mushrooms! They have delicious desserts and breads too. I have tried the strudels, the princess cake and the chocolate dipped almond horns are so stinking good! If you like German food then you will love the meals,if you are not into German food, you can have yummy sodas and desserts. The staff is friendly and the environment is small ,but cozy and layed back.

Omigoodness! Where to begin? I love George's Market and look forward to going again! Bf and I decided to go on Saturday, we had noticed it on drives to Tractor Supply. This is a charming gem of place in a small town. I'm from L.A. and bf is from Redlands and he was wondering why he never knew of it all this time growing up nearby. Even L.A. doesn't have a German deli, for all its "cultural diversity", so it was a real treat. We both had the sausage plates, I got the spicy Hungarian, which was so good, sweet and spicy, just how I like it. It comes with sauerkraut, two mustards, two slices of buttered rye bread, with two different slices of cheese (I think Muenster and Swiss), and the most amazing German potato salad. There's beer on tap, and every Saturday, there's live German karaoke music and dancing! Service is so warm and friendly, we even got to meet George! He's such a sweet guy. He greeted us inside the store where they have everything I remember from when I lived in Germany as a child (my dad was a military man stationed in Rammstein) and we lived in Kaiserslautern. I really can't wait to go again!

This place is always busy, both inside and with takeout orders, so I definitely recommend ordering ahead if you're in a hurry. That said, they are consummate professionals at what they do, and even if you walk in, the wait is never painful. My advice: check out the menu while you're in line and be ready to order when you get to the register. They're busy, and nobody wants to be the indecisive person holding up the line! Their daily specials are incredible, but be aware that if you want a special from a different day, it's not happening. Also, get there early if you want the special, because they can and do sell out -- which honestly just proves how good they are. Everything here is done right. The menu items are thoughtfully put together, balanced, and full of flavor. Portions are generous without being ridiculous, prices are very fair, and honestly, I think they may even be low compared to the value you get. The staff is always helpful, and the girl at the counter has been there as long as I've been going -- I believe she's family -- which says a lot about the heart behind this place. Don't skip the market, either. They carry some of the best Italian ingredients, and it adds even more to the experience. Saverino's is by far the best sandwich spot in Redlands, and I'd go out on a limb and put them in the top five on the West Coast. Family-run, local, consistent, and absolutely top notch. This place is a winner and deserves a try. Just one warning: THEY ARE ADDICTIVE!

The only reason it caught my eye was because our tax preparer was just down the street. It was obviously well loved by the locals after reading their great reviews and seeing a full parking lot. A quickie breakfast of sausage, scrambled eggs, and pancake, were all we had, but everything was nicely done. The pancake was big, light and airy, served with a carafe of warm syrup and a huge scoop of butter. The scrambled eggs were moist and fluffy, the sausage was basically a Farmer John sausage patty that was properly warmed but not overcooked, and very good tasting. Having lived in Texas for many many years and eating barbecue all over the state from popular Michelin star places to Mom and Pop hole in the wall places to food trucks I know what the good barbecue taste like. We decided on a large platter because this was our first time to the restaurant and we wanted to get it taste of everything. We opted for brisket, ribs, chicken and swapped out the pulled pork for jalapeno sausage. This included 4 side dishes and honestly I know they're just sides but it definitely wasn't enough for four adults to enjoy. The large platter says it easily feeds six to eight people but the sides definitely only feed three. The brisket was good compared to California standards. It was moist, flavorful, and cooked just right but lacked a great smoky taste. The loaded fries were another standout. They were absolutely delicious, and the rich cheese sauce paired with the added jalapeños made them even better. Those were easily my favorite items on the menu. Unfortunately, the ribs were inconsistent. Some bites were tender, while others were extremely tough and difficult to eat. The food overall was also much greasier than expected, which took away from the enjoyment of the meal. The service left a lot to be desired. We had to keep asking for basic items throughout our visit, and our drinks didn't arrive until we had asked twice. Having to repeatedly remind the staff for things that should have come automatically made the experience frustrating. The seating arrangement was another disappointment. Our party of four was squeezed around a tiny table, even though there were larger tables available. To make matters worse, a group of six was seated at a three-top table directly behind us, blocking the aisle. People were constantly trying to squeeze between the tables, making the dining area feel cramped and uncomfortable. Considering the price, I expected much better. The portions didn't justify the cost, especially when combined with the inconsistent food quality and service issues. While the brisket and loaded fries were excellent, the tough ribs, greasy food, cramped seating, repeated service problems, and high prices made this a disappointing overall experience. I hope Cornerstone BBQ improves these areas because the restaurant has the potential to be much better.
