Stopped by really quick before heading home. It's a comic shop in the Waterford lakes area with collectibles and funkos too! The owner was really nice- I scooped up a new John Constantine comic as well as a couple of Harley Quinn comics. Everything is neat and organized in this shop. The John Constantine new comic was $4.99 and the Harley Quinn's were $5.99 a piece. If you haven't been here I definitely recommend it! 10/10 read more

Epic Comics and Collectibles is a small comic book store located in the Waterford Towers shopping plaza. Though not a big store by any means, it has a great selection and the staff is extremely friendly. I came in here to get a few books for gifts and was a bit out of my element, but it was a cool overall experience and I walked out with a couple of comics that I think the gift recipients will enjoy. The owner reassured me my choices were pretty solid. Prices were fair and again, the staff was great and they had a good selection. I would definitely recommend a visit here and with Christmas fast approaching, I will definitely be back. I will give Epic Comics and Collectibles five stars. read more

This is a small, well-organized and friendly comics store offering new and back issues in a shopping center not far from the University of Central Florida. I liked that it has a section for young fans of comics, which isn't common in comics shops. There were some interesting back issues for $5 or less, including a box of kids comics from the 1960s and 1970s that contained a bunch of Whitman comics. If you were hoping to pick up the Funky Phantom issue where they foil the Chicken Avenger I'm afraid I beat you to it. read more

It's small, but they carry the books I want, the staff is friendly (and actually like comics), and though I don't collect a lot of the things they carry, it always seems like the prices are non-gouged. This isn't a dark, moldy, unwelcoming "Android's Dungeon"-type place. You can take your kids here. read more

If you have them hold your comics you get a free bag and board for each which is nice if you're collecting. Good selection of figures and other collectibles too. My friendly neighborhood comic shop. It's a short drive from where I live and I enjoy popping in from time to time to get a comic I missed out on, pick up a trade paperback or look at some nice statues. The best thing about Epic is their staff. They're welcoming and especially good with kids. They participate in Free Comic Book Day and have a great Instagram account. They go over all releases for the week. They also do some really great community initiatives with the library and with Cloak and Blaster. read more

Epic Comics is a fairly new comic shop in the Waterford area. It's a small, but open-spaced and refreshing store. Not typical of comic shops that are often dark and over crowded with rows upon rows of squished shelving. I'm not the most savvy comic person, but the guys there help you find what you need and do it with a smile. And if they don't have what you're looking for, it's only an order away. Even if you're not a big comic book fan, you should make a stop to look at the amazing Sharpie art covering the walls. This is my favorite comic book shop in town. Like many comic book fans who do not mind a long drive to their favorite shop on New Book Wednesday, I am very glad that this shop opened up on the East side in the Waterford Lakes area near my home. I prefer patronizing the mom & pop comic book store rather than the chain comic shops or even large mart bookstores. Although it is a mom & pop shop, it is not at all like your typical dusty and overcrowded comic book shop. The first thing you will notice is the front display of the latest and greatest graphic novels (right now there is life size, hand-painted Dark Side Yoda on display with these books) and the sharpie art on the walls. The latest comics are along one wall. There are collectibles (figures, art, statues) throughout the store. At the back of the store are shelves of graphic novels with a couch and television in back usually with a few patrons hanging out playing video games or watching the latest comic book movie. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about comics. They appear to keep updated on the comic book industry -- not just the mainstream comics and comic book movies that come out but they are familiar with the writers, inkers, and colorists as well. They also take orders from Previews which is great for the type collectibles that fill my shelves (Japanese designer toys and manga/anime) and since they do not have a large selection of collectibles and other related comic book/pop culture merchandise. One of the best things about this comic shop is that they have also embraced digital comics. Instead of believing that digital is the end of brick & mortar shops, they offer a link on their website to Comixology to purchase your digital books through their own digital store. Now I do not have to feel guilty turning to digital books for their convenience while still supporting my local store. My only hesitation to giving this store 5-stars is that I would like to see more graphic novels, collectibles and other related comic book merchandise that some of the other local comic shops offer. read more

I love comics! Ever since I learned to read .. anything I could put my hands on .. cereal boxes at breakfast, serials, and comics! My 9 year old stepdaughter started showing interest in my comic books this year. Today I took her to Epic! She had an amazing experience exploring all the different selections .. she even chose a graphic novel! Epic lives up to its name in every sense of the word! It has a wide variety of licensed and independent comics, reasonably priced and none of that "I'm too cool for you comic book/record store" vibe you sometimes encounter. We finally found our place and a really cool shared interest! Thank you for being so sweet and kind to her .. and knowing my concerns as a parent regarding content! We will be back! Btw .. on the way out she asked me who the little green guy w/ the glow stick was .. lol ... umm Yoda? We've got a lot of work ahead of us! read more

Small and confined store. Very limited selection of comics. They only carry the popular mainstream DC/Marvel. Figures are all overpriced. Better off going to Comic Central in Sanford for comics and Mike's Comics next to FL Mall for figures. If they want more customers, they need more imports from Japan. read more

They have comics (of course) and collectibles, and are run by great people, who are always friendly and helpful. I enjoyed looking at everything they had available, and even though the store is not overly large as some have noted, they have a great way of stacking and displaying many items so you will have a lot to look at and purchase. read more

A friend and I wandered into this shop last week having never bought a comic book before and I walked out with an Extraordinary X-Men #1 and I hink he got Silk #1. Came back this week looking for #2 and ended up talking with the owner for a solid hour about comics. He was extremely knowledgable and friendly and left me with a lot of solid insight to get into the world of comic books. The store is well-lit and very clean, which did not match my stereotypical vision of a comic book store. The owner, as I said was very helpful and I can't wait to pick his brain on comics in the future. I highly recommend supporting this store! read more

Not a fan of this store AT ALL. The staff was very unhelpful and borderline rude. They didn't acknowledge me at all when I walked in (I was the only customer there) and never once asked if I needed help while browsing. They didn't have the two DC books that I was looking for despite it only being the day after their release. Sure their walls are pretty with artwork, but that doesn't make a comic shop. There are better stores in Orlando for sure. read more

My husband is a pretty big fan of comics. We find all sorts of goodies here. We go there mostly for of course comics but they have art, collectibles and other figurines. They have a pretty nice deal on Black Fridays. It's a cook place for some pop culture type stuff. They have lots of Dr. Who stuff. They even have a little half sized tardis for decor! :) Customer service is good! They are nice and answer my dumb comic questions as a wife when I'm looking for a gift! Without a doubt the best comic shop around. I went during their first week of their "soft" opening and after talking to Danny and Al for two hours, I was hooked and became a subscriber that week. The guys are always fun to talk to and I've developed friendships with them. Great atmosphere and there's always something going on! I met a few of my favorite artists thanks to them and have gotten some great books over the past two years (wow, it's been that long already?!). Even if you're not buying something, it's just fun to hang out and talk to them while playing xbox or watching a movie. I can't recommend it enough. read more
