I was at an event nearby and decided to stop by with my girls to grab some Pokémon cards - a new hobby we just picked up. We were greeted immediately right when we walked in. I let them know we were looking for Pokémon cards and let them know we were new to this. They were very friendly and walked us through the difference from each of the sets. We purchased 6 different packs to start off with and our girls couldn't have been more excited. They have a separate area with tables where you can open the packs. Awesome spot and perfect for all pokemon hobbyists and enthusiasts. Just recently started to get back into pokemon its been about 20 plus years since I bought pokemon cards lol. Had an eye for Japanese pokemon recently so I thought id swing by Degen to check it out for the first time. David was behind the counter and was super helpful, cumstomer service-friendly, and enthusiastic. Cant beat that, you can tell he knowledgeable and just genuine love for pokemon, gotta love that. Asked if he had the new Japanese inferno x booster box and they had it in stock. Once I got home, I ripped the box and got that damn Inferno X SAR Charizard! Degen's on the money when it comes to market pricing on their cards. I'm not one to shop with the phone in my face half the time so it helped that all I had to do was pick out from a stack of multiples for the best copy to take home. David helped me out with that today and didn't hesitate to pull from different displays and come down to the lowest sticker price on the duplicates. Tax on top of the sticker but it's fair considering what you would pay if you piece together your collection off eBay. Certainly more competitive compared to other card shops in the South Bay if you can't attend a show with cash on hand. Congrats on the opening again--I'll be back for sure! read more

I typically don't do yelp reviews but this place went out of their way to deserve one from me since I want to warn others. Came here with my 5 year old who wanted a certain pokemon card since he saw his classmates has it. I've only bought my child cards from amazon because he would throw them around, this would be his first nice pokemon card. We went in the store and were not greeted as these kids were on their phones. Once we flagged down somebody, he didn't bother entertaining us in telling us what they have in stock. He even ridiculed us once he saw the pokemon cards from amazon. I know they are fakes, but not my child. Way to go buddy! You killed a kid's joy in from of his parent. If you patronize this store, make sure you only show high value cards for them to treat you like a human being. Perhaps the reason they named the store Degen is it's short for a word that ends with "erate". read more

We've been to Degen Collectibles about 10 times and been helped by 5 or 6 different employees (all have been great). They also have a good mix of booster bundles, sleeved packs, ETBs and collection boxes - I'm usually lookin for sealed Pokemon to rip but they have other trading cards as well. Overall 5/5!
