Throughout my time attending Mira Costa, I've taken a majority of my classes at this campus it has always been a good space. The recent remodel has made the internals of the buildings feel more modern and provide even more access for students than they did before. Mira Costa strives to be inclusive and adaptable to best fit the students needs. The art classes are by far my favorite part, getting to sit in with a bunch of new faces and get to spend hours working on artistic projects is such a therapeutic way to spend time

Right across the street is the beautiful lagoon and the most gorgeous hiking trails surround it too! It's great for people who live along the coast and don't wanna drive up to Oceanside all the time and the library is new and well equipped! Well, they don't offer as many in-person classes as Oceanside campus, the classrooms are newer, and the class size is a bit smaller, which means you get more attention from the professors. Parking is always a breeze, staff are wonderfully helpful, and I am rooting for this site to gain more popularity and more students! While my time here is pretty much up... I'm glad I was able to attend this campus along with the Oceanside one.

This is actually my first Yelp review and probably the only one I'll ever write, but I felt…read morecompelled to share the incredible experience my son and I had with one of the staff members at Miramar College. My son is planning to transfer to Miramar College from another community college with hopes of eventually attending UC San Diego. Unfortunately, he had a difficult experience with administration at his previous school, so we were already feeling pretty discouraged and overwhelmed trying to navigate the transfer process. We attempted to contact the counseling office and called several different numbers without any luck. Finally, we tried another number we found on Google, and to our surprise, someone answered. We explained our situation, and the gentleman we spoke with apologized and explained that the entire SDCCD district network was currently down. Even though he worked at an off-site location and had limited access because of the outage, he still took the time to help us. He asked whether we were military affiliated, and when I explained that we were not and had simply found the number online while searching for Miramar counseling, he immediately said, "No problem, I'm here to help you." From that moment on, he went above and beyond. He patiently walked us through everything my son needed to get started with the transfer process and assured us that once the systems were restored, he would follow up with additional links and information. His optimism, kindness, and genuine excitement for my son's future at Miramar College were truly a breath of fresh air. By the end of the conversation, we both felt relieved, encouraged, and excited again about this next chapter. A few days later, just as promised, we received a detailed email with links for transcript evaluation, counseling appointments, financial aid, and additional resources. We want to give a huge thank you to Mr. Ron at the Miramar Base for his professionalism, compassion, and willingness to help complete strangers during a stressful time. People like him make such a difference. We only wish we had base access so we could thank him in person. We sincerely hope Miramar College administration sees this review and recognizes him for the outstanding support and care he provided.

Honestly, bad student service experience…read more They do not correspond well with students via email or leaving "an answer" via voice mail. So, you have to keep calling and playing phone tag with them. Sometimes the receptionist forgot to call you back after they asked you to wait for their call back in 5 minutes. Later, you realized that you had to call them back because they had made you waited for more than an hour and you had not heard back. If you have a fulltime job and have to keep track of your time like this during your office hours and they simply don't like to reply back to you with anwers via email or voice mail, it is really not an efficient way to obtain an education. Playing phone tag is not a game busy or not busy people want to play with. It is frustrating and not efficient! Plus, they did not apologize for forgetting to call back. Pretending that nothing has happened. Another thing is I had a question for the instructor... She returned my phone call once and left me a voice mail saying that she called. I called back twice to the instructors, left a voice mail letting her know the best time to reach me, and then I emailed her letting her know she could also answer my question via email so that we won't be playing phone tag and then, left a message on skype. But, I did not get any response back in any ways in 2 days. I believe 2 days is plenty enough time to get back to someone while I have been facilitating the communication. Later, I skyped Egoscue University when I saw the skypeID is online again, but nobody responded me back either. Later I tried to skype her again using her other skypeID that I obtained from the receptionist and she finally responded to me. Based on my experience, I don't think their online education is good enough at attending student's questions/needs. I was disappointed with it and feeling quite frustrated about it. Even though I like the education material, but it is not a great way of learning with EU. They need to provide better service for students. At least, I am speaking from my experience. Truly, I was quite disappointed.

I graduated from this college at UCSD!…read more DAMN those MMW Classes but I learned a lot! Hi Professor Chang! ACADEMICS***** ERC MMW Classes are super easy! No need to study or buy textbook! just show up to midterm and final and you should be okay! (I do not recommend this for your other classes...learned this the hard way...) ERC housing is super close to RIMAC gym and arena if you like working out. The housing is also super close to the Village transfer housing which was super nice and new when I lived there! There is a sushi Bistro restaurant that you can use your dining dollars at nearby, a market which used to have the best Iced White Mochas on campus (at least when I went here)! Cafe V also had pretty good chipotle mayo for their burgers. Not really many places to study at ERC :( I always ended up "studying" all the way in Warren college in the computer labs (SHOUTOUT TO EBU3B you da real MVP)! Also cuter dudes studying in the Engineering section of Geisel. Parking is pretty much non-existent unless you're lucky enough to snag a spot at Pangea Parking Garage or Hopkins! Good luck! The counselors here are AWESOME! Definitely willing to work with their students. They understand that everyone learns differently and willing to set goals and plans! YAYYY! If you're applying to UCSD and don't know which college to choose ERC is not bad! I would also consider Marshall, Muir or Warren! Def not 6th college lol. Good luck kids!

For…read moremany years, San Diego Jewish Academy had a strong sense of community, excellent teachers, and leadership that seemed focused on what was best for students. Unfortunately, that no longer appears to be the case. Over the past few years, a series of decisions by the school's leadership has fundamentally changed the culture of the school, and not for the better. Families who have been part of the community for years are choosing to leave, and it is not difficult to understand why. When long-standing members of a school community begin walking away, it should be a signal that something is seriously wrong. The most disappointing part is that the decline feels avoidable. Rather than building on the strengths that made the school successful, management seems to be making decisions that have weakened trust, damaged morale, and eroded the sense of community that once defined the school. This review is not written out of bitterness but out of genuine disappointment. Many of us wanted this school to succeed because we believed in its mission. It is painful to watch an institution with so much potential lose the confidence of the very families who helped make it successful. I sincerely hope the Board and school leadership take an honest look at the growing number of departing families and ask why this is happening. The school still has talented teachers and tremendous potential, but without meaningful changes in leadership and decision-making, I worry that the downward trend will continue.

Fortunately, I started working with her in the middle of my daughter junior year, and it was obvious right away that she knew what she was doing. With his help, my daughter Ana spend the summer before my senior year at talking college film classes at Syracuse University and Arizona State University. This experience was vital to her decision to go pre-med, and it would not have been possible without her. As for college applications, Allison help was truly invaluable. We started in the beginning of August and met every single week until I got my ED acceptance letter. Allison always found a way to improve Ana's writing, even if it was as simple as changing one word. Anytime She had a question, she had an answer, and she helped Ana showcase the best version of her. Applying to Film was not what we where expecting, it was overwhelming with portfolio, additional essay's it was incredibly stressful for Ana and Allison was a game changer and guide her all the time. Ana applied early as Allison suggested and that was the best decision we made, Ana prepared with time (beginning of junior year) and got ready, apply Early, that give us a better opportunity with colleges acceptance and financial aid. By December Senior year we already had accepted letters from many schools including Ana's top chose Emerson College in Boston, it was not an easy decision with too many acceptance letters from amazing schools and an incredible financial package. Before Allison, we had barely considered applying to Emerson College, casting it off as unrealistic. Now, we are beyond ecstatic to begin my future there. Thank you, Allison, for helping Ana with what has undoubtedly been the longest and most grueling process I have been through. You took away a lot of the stress and always kept me right on track. I am so grateful for all your help and I cannot imagine going through this process without you. If you are looking for a college consultant It's a pleasure for me to recommend you Allison Henderson, she will really help you in many different topics, not only essay writing but also career path, what schools to apply and financial aid guidance. Allison was the best decision we did to get our daughter into college.
